First and foremost I have never done an escape room before but Sunny made this such a dope experience for us ! He really knows his stuff and kept us in the loop while we were struggling lol. We finished on time and he even offered to take a photo for us. Shockingly we made it through the whole thing. Sunny's awesome personality made this experience even better than what I expected oh and jessica hahaha. Would def recommend read more

Felix made my 1st Escape room experience a great one, such a cool dude and very helpful. I hope to be back many times. My group had so much fun! read more

Such a fun experience, seriously try this place out! It makes you think in so many different ways. We were in the Egyptian room and were able to get out with 12 minutes to spare! There were 4 of us for the first 15 min, then two more friends joined. Lots of tricky stuff, seriously look everywhere for clues, almost everything matters. They'll even give you hints on the tv if they see you struggling which was very helpful. I want to come back and try more rooms. They'll be upgrading soon to have a room meant for 12 people!! read more

Tobi was really awesome! We definitely will be back! It was 7 out of 9 people's first experience and Tobi made it really awesome!

I played The Big Game today. It's a fun escape room. The story is interesting, the set/props are well done, the theme is consistent throughout. The puzzles are good. The customer service is amazing. Aurora is absolutely wonderful. I am so glad I was able to fit this company into my Denver trip. I hope to make it back to play their other rooms before I leave. *I have played over 160 escape rooms nationwide. read more

This was my first time experiencing an escape room and we had an absolute blast! Patrick was our game master and was so helpful without being overbearing. We were able to get hints what still made us think to get the clue. I'm not from Denver but will definitely be coming back whenever I visit town! Hopefully Patrick will be our game master again! read more

What a great activity to do as a family. We had an unexpected layover in Denver--took in the city sites during the day and treated ourselves to a little escape room adventure in the evening. Stephanie was a fabulous host--fun, friendly, and great with a little nudge in the right direction without making us feel like she was giving us too much help. Highly entertaining! read more

Great experience! Went with a group of 8 for a friend's bday. She got a groupon so we paid about $12 a person. It was so much FUN! It's only an hour. We got the Bronco themed scenario. We were players locked in the coach's office trying to get into the locker room and escape both rooms. There were lots of locks and keys to be found to open the locks. We did make it out with maybe 2 mins to spare! What a great bonding experience and so many laughs! The staff were friendly and hilarious. Thank you for a fun time! read more

Did the Speakeasy room for my birthday with my entire family! It was very fun and Rose was very helpful giving us hints when needed but letting us try to figure it out on our own first! We did complete the room with about 4 minutes to spare! I have done many escape rooms and this one was a but confusing at first but everything came together nicely. Will definitely be returning to do the other rooms here. read more

My sister and I decided to take a trip to Denver to go skiing and we spent a day doing some things in the city and EscapeWorks Denver is one you don't want to miss out on! It was such an awesome experience even during Covid times and Trace was incredible gamemaster and helped get us through the game when we were stuck. I definitely would recommend checking them out. read more

Rose and Helena were both amazing and fun. They encouraged us along the way with little hints and "you're doing great - don't give up" sorts of messages. We had so much fun! Rose and Helena were the reason we booked another trip before we even left for the evening! Can't wait to come back and try again and visit with them another time! read more

Helena was an awesome cluemaster and the Blackbeards Brig room was phenomenal! Highly recommended!!

Sunny, the game master, was incredibly helpful and entertaining. The room was fun and glad I could celebrate my birthday here!

Our first escape room ever and it was an amazing experience! We did the Casino Heist room and it was quite the challenge. Each puzzle continued to push our brain power which we really enjoyed. Hints are offered if the overseers sense you get stuck on a problem for a longer period of time, but they are not obvious which was nice as you still have to have your wits about you. While we did not "escape" Patrick was great about walking us through the last 2 clues and the thought process of getting there. We booked the Egyptian Tomb for next week and cannot wait! See ya then, Patrick! read more

We had so much fun at the Escape Works last night! We did the `Beyond the Flowers` room. Thanks to our game master,Taylor, we made it out with less than 30 seconds to go! He gave us clues as we needed them, but not too many that I felt we were not figuring it out on our own (too stupid in other words). We did get stuck a few times, but Taylor was able to give us the right clues to push us in the right direction. Definitely will go there again! Highly recommend. Lots of fun! read more

My sister was in from out of town on Halloween and we wanted to do something something special, like a haunted house, but those are so expensive! Plus, my 7 year old niece does not like to be scared at all. So we looked on Groupon for something reasonably priced and family friendly and found a great deal for EscapeWorks. It's a little hard to find the entrance, but once we got inside the woman at the desk always very friendly...and then she locked us (3 adults and 1 kid) in the Egyptian Tomb. We sucked. We needed lots of clues, but we barely missed the final clue before the very end. There was real sand on the floor which is a very nice touch! read more

We did the Speakeasy challenge and it was so much fun! We went with a big group and it was great! Thanks Jake J!

Escape works is hands down the standard for escape rooms. All of the puzzles are creative and the different rooms are executed beautifully. This time we escaped Blackbeards Brig, barely (25 seconds to spare) My wife and I have tried all but the flower shop, but will be back to take it on. Rose was an excellent hostess and nudged us in the right direction at points and was so enthusiastic. She made it a great experience. read more

We had a great time!! Rose was awesome and so helpful without completely giving away answers. We will definitely be back!

Loved it! Sonny was fantastic. He made it really fun! We will definitely be coming back for the other rooms!

The Outbreak and Casino Heist rooms were solid and solvable, but the staff did not monitor their games the way game masters at every other escape room we've done have. In the 50-odd other escape rooms we've done, game masters constantly monitor our progress and help with clues when asked. At EscapeWorks, either you get clues or you don't, and it's unlikely anyone is paying attention to your room. We told the staff we didn't like clues unless requested, and were told that was fine. Turned out that information was not consistently correct. The first room (Outbreak) was challenging, and we did need a couple of clues. When asked, the female game master gave us clues. No problems. We failed to escape, but that wasn't the game master's fault. But for the second room (Casino Heist), we got stuck about 10 mins in, and had no way to contact the male game master to give us a clue. No one was watching the cameras, and when we used the safety key to exit the room to ask for help, no one was at the desk. I had to walk around the whole place to find someone! When I finally found an employee, all we got were excuses. So now we're back in the room, the game master is aware that we need a clue, and still nothing happens for 2-3 minutes. Then "do you need a clue?" appears on the TV and we all nod our heads, mouth "yes," and wave at the cameras. Nothing. Finally, maybe 5 minutes later, we get a clue. After we finished the room, we spoke with two staff members about the problems we had, and they didn't want to listen. Both were very defensive, kept making conflicting excuses, and just didn't seem to care. So while we initially were happy with the first room experience, the second room left a terrible impression and we'll never go back. Unless the management gets its act together and gives clear, consistent information about what to expect, I wouldn't recommend anyone else booking this place either. 3 stars is average of first room (5) and second room (1) - the overall experience, not the actual quality of each room which were fairly standard. The staff was the problem, not the rooms. As always, your own experience may differ from ours. Good luck. read more

We had high hopes for this place. The room itself was pretty neat. But, my main issue is that they weren't dishing out clues in a timely manner. Their whole premise was that they would provide clues when we were stuck, we were stuck many times and we got to the point that we were repeatedly asking them for clues. When and if we got the clues, they were repeating something we had already solved. Needless to say, because it took so long to get clues...we ran out of time. When they came out after the game, I brought up their lag in providing clues in a timely manner, their excuse was that they "got busy". They didn't even offer to take a pic of us after competing it. Huge disappointment. Out of the 5 different escape rooms we've tries across Ft. Collins, Loveland, Louisville..this was a giant waste of our time and money. read more

That was so much fun. We did the outbreak room and MATT was so awesome too. Great experience

A really fun experience. Tobi, the game master, made the night fun and enjoyable and we even survived!

TLDR; Frustrating host oversights and sloppy mechanisms left us craving a stiff drink at the speakeasy in Beyond the Flower Shop. As we are wont to do, my girlfriend and I sought out an escape room while visiting Denver this past weekend. Because the franchise we are familiar with from San Diego (Escapology) is closed on Mondays, we decided on this one as it fit our schedule and the theme piqued our interest. We were met with frustration almost immediately after a logic leap in one of the first puzzles. This would set the tone for the remainder of the room. Our experience recognizes certain tropes of escape rooms and we attempted numerous times to retrieve what we knew should have been there, and it was only upon the third member of our group attempting to do so before our host intervened. He said that he did not close the night before, and didn't know that the room hadn't been reset properly and handed us the piece that was omitted from the reset. Soon after, we found the mechanism to which this piece belonged. This would begin another all hands on deck attempt to open what we knew should have opened with this piece, and only after we'd all made our attempts did the host again return to the room to hand us a replacement and return some time to the clock. Later in the room, after we'd long since discovered the solution to a dial combination safe + key uncovered early in the first room and had all given it multiple attempts, we were directed via the monitor to visit the location we'd already derived the solution from for some odd reason. My guess at this point was that our host was preoccupied with other rooms, on his phone or otherwise distracted. I don't like encountering these locks in escape rooms because of varying order of operations between manufacturers, but to pair this with a key whose action was extremely harsh made it all that more frustrating and probably tied up at least a good 5 - 10 minutes despite our attempts to solicit help from the host. A few more mechanisms whose actions were sloppy and didn't inspire confidence later, we were nearing the end and were once more met with frustration and confusion despite knowing the solutions. We heard police sirens cue that our time was up and instead of being allowed to beat our heads against the wall and finish, our host barged in with what felt like a disinterested "so close". My girlfriend and I had brought her sister along after multiple attempts previously to wash the sour taste of her first poor escape room experience with this one, but can't say that we made entirely too much progress with this clunky, mechanically inept room. read more

Definitely a challenge for those who are up for it. They have rooms of varying difficulty and I recommend checking before you book. Dana was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience. We didn't get out but we appreciated the struggle. read more

EscapeWorks hosted two team-building events for our company over the last three weeks. We were very well taken care of and our participants had a great experience. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Communication was great before the events and the reservation and check-in process was excellent. The activities helped us build the camaraderie of our team and allowed us to see how they solved problems together and demonstrated teamwork. I highly recommend EscapeWorks Denver! read more

EscapeWorks is one of the more professional escape rooms in the Denver area. Don't be fooled by the unassuming entrance, the rooms are expansive and technologically impressive. I'm a fan of down to earth rooms like Denver's 5280 but having a more corporate, high budget room was also a breath of fresh air. We did the speakeasy room which was fine. Personally if I do one more speakeasy room, I'm going to scream but this was one of the better ones. The best part of it was Rose, our clue person. From the start, Rose dealt with an unpleasant customer that didn't want to share the room with my friends and myself. It says in red, bolded font that rooms are public and to book a private, buy out the slots, but he must not have seen the BRIGHT RED BOLDED TEXT. Rose did an excellent job attempting to keep him happy and maintained absolute professionalism. Better yet, Rose was an excellent Clue person. We were stumped at first and I was worried that without a hint, we wouldn't pass the first part of the room, but Rose excellently timed the clues so that escaping was exciting as we beat the buzzer. Its not an easy job. Clue people are juggling a lot of balls but Rose was incredibly attentive to us. Thanks for the fun time and we'll see ya again next time were in town. read more

We just arrived in Denver and were walking around 16th Street with all our luggage in hand. We decided we wanted to do an escape room so we quickly looked up a place and found EscapeWorks. One of us called and was talking to a female representative. We told her that we were on our way there. We get there, ring the buzzer and we're allowed into the place. We walk up the stairs with all our luggage still in hand and as we climb our final step we are greeted by a bearded man. He asked us, "Can I help you?" We were all out of breath, and needed a second to talk but he seemed annoyed with us just being there. He then asked us if we booked online and we told him we did not. He quickly explained that we couldn't book there and we could only book online, going on telling us they have no POS system there when a simple, "Oh, I'm sorry, to book a room it must be done online" would suffice. We then asked him if it would be a private room, when he snapped back at us that it will only be private if we paid for a private room. So we then asked if there were any groups that had booked the room already and he said no. He told us we would be right back and proceeded down stairs. We quickly felt uncomfortable being there and did not feel welcome being there. We gathered our things and started to head out, as he came back he gave us an odd look. We then told him never mind and he smirked at us as we walked out saying "ok..." as if he couldn't understand why we were leaving. Me and my friends are big fans of escape rooms and are highly disappointed in the customer service that EscapeWorks failed to provide. We will not be back. The only highlight to this trip was the workout we received from climbing the 2 flights of stairs. read more

Percy was so amazingly kind and polite! Best Escape room ever! definitely coming back !

The Egyptian Room had great theming and the puzzles were challenging (though a few of the mechanics didn't work smoothly) but ultimately the experience was frustrating due to a seemingly inexperienced gamemaster. We've done about 10 rooms in 3 states and love the more elaborately themed rooms, which EscapeWorks delivered on. There were a lot of red herrings, which was ok, and we appreciated that the puzzles fit well in the context of the room. in the later stages of the game the puzzles became sequential so getting hung up one puzzle means there wasn't much to do. There is an art to being a game master and giving clues - and our game master needs more training. For example we didn't have a final combination quite right so he pointed us back to the location of a clue for decoding a cypher. We'd already decoded the clue, solved the cypher and had just interpreted two signs wrong. He ignored me waving my hands and saying we were confused, later saying the clues are performance based so he (would be great to confirm if this is EscapeWorks policy?) won't help if you ask. After the game I spoke with the gamemaster and the assistant and he was very defensive. He misunderstood where we were stumped and felt we should have understood his clues. This game started out great but was ultimately frustrating and boring while we waited for the time to run out. read more
