    VR driving, boring
    Peter L.

If you are an escape room enthusiast this will prob be more enjoyable. We only did the VR games and it was still fun. There are only limited VR stations so you might have to wait for your term. I saw 2 peeps who horded the same 2 stations for over an hour, they must really enjoyed ninja action & zombie shooting. I am terrified of heights, so naturally I walked the plank! It was absolutely horrifying & I tried my best not to soil my...socks. The VR driving was boring, you literally go around on an easy tract up against only 1 other player, with minimal chance for collisions or mishaps. The wall/rock climbing did not required any VR equipment & seemed boring. The main attraction are the 2 Xtrematic games stations. You can choose among skiing, bMX bike and cycling, sky diving, hang gliding, roller coasters with dynasaurs, air combat, etc... guests have to take terms so we only managed 2 games on it. If you are proned to motion sickness consider taking dramamine, after the hang glider experience & the WWII air combat I def felt some nausea. As a fellow Yelper mentioned wearing glasses can be a hassle while using the VR head set but I still had a good time. The headsets were thoroughly wiped in between users. Overall this felt like a small VR arcade, escape room players will prob have more fun. The staff were helpful in guiding us as well as fixing any program issues.

First time trying an escape room and I think I'm hooked. All future escape rooms will forever be measured against this one. My friend and I were running late but luckily it was just us so the staff were chill about letting us start a bit late. Led upstairs by the game master to the space galaxy escape room, given instructions and we were on our own. Have you been getting your required dose of vitamin A? Cuz you're gonna need it to see in the dimly lit spacecraft. There were three separate parts to the space galaxy escape room and with the helpful hints of the game master (we're novices), we managed to escape in time! I loved the all the effects and how you really had to think to solve the clues. It was a lot of fun and I'm already thinking of trying the subway themed one! Since we were here anyway, we decided to go for a VR escape room as well. We went with the Goblin's Quest since it seemed kinda interesting. And it was actually a lot of fun! There's lots of walking and picking stuff up involved so it will get you sweating a bit! There were hints given both by the game and...I think someone outside the game too. We had a lot of fun laughing and solving the different "rooms". It was a great experience and I can't wait the return to try the other VR games. The only thing that bothered me (maybe I'm just being picky) but my headset smelled kind of like bad BO for some reason...once I started focusing on the game, it didn't bother me as much anymore.

Had suck a great time! Bridgette helped us and finished up with us we tried everything except the escape room! All other staff were very friendly and patient in explaining how everything worked!! Wasn't as full which was great because we didn't have to wait around to use Any machines.

Ask the Community - Escape Virtuality

Would a 3 year old who is over three feet tall be able to do this?

Depends on what they will be doing. We have some age appropriate VR/AR but we can't be sure that you child will be able to do all the activities.

Is this okay for an older lady say 90 years old? Meaning is there an escape room or individual game for her that won't be too scary or physically taxing? And can glasses be worn with the vr sets?

Yes. Glasses can be worn while using the VR headsets. None of the rooms are physically taxing. The VR can be. However the VR Goblin's Quest game is a VR escape room that is also good to do.

How much does it cost? Is it good to go here? I don't see a lot of reviews so idk what to think... also is it really crowded here?

The price is very moderate. $35 an hour for the vr experience. Everything is brand new and I believe it is a good time to go there now. We had a blast!!

The detail inside the ship is impressive. Walking through areas like the grand staircase and exploring parts of the wreck made it feel like you were actually there. The storytelling adds a strong historical element, so it's not just visuals, it's educational too. That said, I did feel a little dizzy afterward, which I think is worth mentioning if you're sensitive to motion or VR in general. It wasn't terrible and didn't ruin the experience, but something to keep in mind. Tip: Before booking, check online for discount codes. We used CRISTINAINNEWYORK15 and it worked, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a great experience if you like the Titanic or want to try something different in NYC.

Disappointed with staff interaction as I began my experience…read more VR Experience was my first time walking in a room to experience the immersive world. Now to justify my two stars, I will say if what I experienced had not happened. I would have enjoyed my experience because technically everything worked well. When we arrived, we checked in with the staff for tickets and got in line for our headset. The staff were diligently working on preparing headsets because they need to be ready for the four different types of scenarios. We were four individuals joining the impressionist track. Highly recommend! When two other people arrived, there are a father and daughter pair. The father is asked by the staff for his ticket. The father says that they will go to the bathroom first and then give the ticket. The staff insists for the ticket. The father says, can you please ask politely. The staff says that I don't need to be polite. Give me your tickets. The father says can you say please. The staff said no. The father said can I speak to your manager. Then it escalates. Now, both parties staff and male customer, father, were both not resolving the issue but there was no effort to de-escalate the situation from the staff. You may ask why did this hurt your experience. I was about to be inside the virtual experience and the negative energy really soured my experience especially because of the conflict created where I was in a dark visor. Now, I again understand that these things happen but I want people to be aware how not only negative customer interactions affect the two people but the other participants. I hope this organization can prioritize de-escalation point because technically things did go very well. Thank you.

The issue is even though we had made a reservation for 8 people they only gave us a table with 6 seats? This should have been organized/mitigated before we arrived. Service itself was fine. One of our servers was great and very attentive the other one was just ok. We were able to order lots of food items to try. BEEF SLIDERS: Pretty tasty! The only thing was, there was a strong sour note with the sliders not sure if there was just a lot of Worcestershire sauce or something. TRUFFLE FRIES: Perfectly fried. Flavor was great as well. Definitely a good order. SHORT RIB QUESADILLA: They cooked the short rib more birria style. Flavor was great and the portion of one quesadilla is huge. Solid food option. CHEESE PLATTER: Average. BONELESS WINGS: Sauces on the side. Chicken was also very dry and rubbery in general. Skip this. BURRATA FLATBREAD: Not sure why the flatbread was sopping wet. Crust also not toasty. Eeh. SWEET CHILI CAULIFLOWER: Flavor was good and breading was crispy but the inner cauliflower was undercooked. Definitely could have been cooked better. GUACAMOLE AND CHIPS: Ok. Chips were a little stale but the guac was good. All in all, a loud, upscale sports bar vibe. Pretty average quality but very pricy.
