kids playing the game

We had our son's 7th birthday party here and the kids loved it. None had been at Immersive Gamebox before. The staff was helpful and arranged for pizza delivery. We brought our own cake. Shamario the manager was very nice and professional. We want to go back and experience it ourselves with adult friends.

Looking for fun interactive games? Immersive Gamebox is your place. They offer tons of options for you and your bunch. While here I went with the squid game option. You go through a series of mini games to win money. (Not actual money) . Player with the most coins, wins. The time flys by because you'll be too busy laughing at all the antics. They do have additional games you can add onto your game package if you'd like to continue your fun! They do offer adult beverages if you'd to like indulge. Staff was knowledgeable and efficient. I'd definitely visit again for more fun!

What a fun experience! My sister-in-law and niece found this place and a group of five of us went. You get your own private glass game room with interactive walls, and you're able to choose from an assortment of different games you can play. You wear a visor with a sensor on it and move around the room and touch the walls as part of each game. We enjoyed the alien themed one that had a really great 80s soundtrack. We also did the floor is lava, which was really fun. They do have drinks available, which you can buy throughout the gaming and it's added to your tab at the end. This would be a great night out for a group of friends, both young or old. Highly recommended.

Not a great image but sort of shows some of the fighting interaction. Here I've heroically downed a cartoon bad guy haha.

Much more fun than expected and engaging though out. Great for children or adults looking to try something different and not an escape room. When we first arrived 45 mins early to see if we could move our reservation back 30 mins to have lunch, watching a few other people in the Perspex boxes didnt look that appealing. First impressions don't always matter. The rooms are suitable for up to four people, include a baseball type hat that conducts and tracks your movement, while three walls are interactive. Drink holders, hooks for items you didn't leave in the free and lockable lockers and a very handy phone mount to record your activity. We experienced the Batman game and thoroughly enjoyed it. Takes a little getting used to but easy to pickup. You can even order drinks at a couple of moments in the game and the team will drop them off, adding them to your bill at the end.

This was my first time visiting Immersive Gamebox, and it was a really fun experience! The atmosphere was pleasant, and the space was clean and well maintained. You play inside your own enclosed box, which blocks out sound from the neighboring rooms, so the experience feels focused and immersive. I also appreciated the locker provided to safely store personal belongings while playing. Overall, it was an enjoyable and unique activity perfect for friends, family, or even a creative date. Looking forward to coming back to try another game! Gina was great, she was pleasant great customer drive.

I did the Ghostbusters immersive game box. They let you use a locker to keep your belongings. They also serve drinks and food however, I highly suggest you get them before or after the game since everything is timed. The Ghostbusters game required a lot of movement between three different walls. I definitely broke a sweat playing this game. Immersive game box is a fun activity to do with friends, family or on a date night. they have other game themes, such as Squid Game and Tetris as well.

Loved this gaming spot! It's not everyday you get to participate in a kind of interactive gaming room. My friends and I played squid game for an hour and it was so much fun! The game is like inspired from the show and it is really really challenging. My friends also had a laugh and the staff were very sweet to us. I recommend friends and family to definitely do this experience. 10/10

This is definitely a great idea for a business. We went on a Friday night and it was pretty crowded. I like how there are free lockers to store your stuff but they didn't have enough for every group, some groups were looking around and waiting for a locker to open. I didn't expect the staff to be so not involved and laid back, you have to guide yourself through all of this and take it upon yourself to ask questions. I'm used to other immersive experiences or escape type rooms that have a staff walk you through everything quickly before you start. It would have been nice if that was the case here, it was pretty chaotic when you walk in. There is really nothing high tech about this place, it's just four white walls and a projector and a camera. I was expecting more for $45 a person. Most groups where playing the IP games like black mirror, Tetris and squid game. Maybe we would have liked it more if we chose one of those. We did psychedelic mansion. I think it would have been better for a family. Also the headsets way down on your head and hurt towards the end of the game. We were all left branded with an indentation on our forehead. The graphics were pretty cool in the beginning in the intro but once you get into gameplay it was pretty basic. The word bomb game and the puzzle one were the most fun. I liked how pairs took turns to complete the game but they should have mixed up the pairs so you get to work with someone new each time. When you fail a game the SFX is so loud it blew my ear drums even though we had the setting down low. The games were very repetitive. When the hour was over it just stopped, no warning. We did have fun, but it wasn't the most fun we had at a game experience before. Maybe I was holding this place to too much high standards. You can purchase drinks and they will bring to your box but for 60 min I don't want to be distracted with a drink. Outside the boxes there are some tables and chairs and one bathroom in the back. Would I go again? No, unless it was a work expensed thing. It's just way too expensive for what you get. I rather stay at home and play my VR headset or another game with my friends.

Very clever idea!! A surprisingly roomy venue. I would come here with friends for a birthday party or special occasion, but perhaps not something to do on a regular day. I will say that the prices are probably similar to how much going to a movie would cost, though, so it could be a worthy alternative on a rainy day. I was able to bring friends to this event through the Yelp elite promo and we did the black mirror and squid games activities. We also had a round of free drinks, which I'm not sure if that's standard. The space is probably best for a group of 4 in terms of how many people can comfortably fit in each box, even though you can have up to 6 ppl. The setup uses a head sensor (sensor that you wear like a hat), so you as a person act as the remote control rather than this being a VR experience. Basically the direction you walk in is the way to control your avatar. It should be noted that the volume is really loud at first, but there's a settings pad that you can touch to adjust. I saw a few reviews complaining about this, so I think it would be helpful to explain it to customers before they start. There are some levels that are single player (you have to go one at a time, which is another reason 4ppl max might be best) and others where you're on teams. It would be nice if you were able to pick the teams, though, or have them automatically switch every level. None of us had seen squid games but recognized the activities. Even so, it was still fun, although I think the optics of that one could make ppl a bit nauseous. There was one level (using the knife to trace shapes) that seemed a bit too sensitive and thus too hard to progress through. The black mirror games were really fun and not nauseating. My least favorite one was the level with the bouncing balls, though. One game is more than enough--I think doing the combo of two games could be a bit overkill/tiring after some time. Overall, glad I tried this, not sure I would come back as a daily activity but definitely would for a special event (similar to axe throwing perhaps)

Christina W.

This was such a fun activity for my friends and I! We went on a Saturday night and it was slightly busy but the staff was kind and accommodating. We choose to play the new Black Mirror game to see what careers we get. The games were on the easier side but still fun. We ended up getting first place and the staff congratulated us by giving us a free beverage of choice!

Stopped by immersive Gamebox this Saturday with a group of six people to do the Squid Game-themed room. The room itself was surprisingly great - I had gone in with the expectation that it would be built for kids and as a result trivially easy, but in reality the mini games were challenging and very fun. I also completed the Black mirror careers room, which felt more consistent. Our visit was part of a Yelp event, which meant we each got a free drink as well. This was a great time, but I'd still consider the price for a bit steep. My biggest/only complaint is that the sensors seemed a bit too jumpy -- lots of rounds people couldn't even play since they got immediately eliminated due to the sensitivity of the headbands.

Squid Games

I was hoping this place would be more like a VR center, but it turns out to be a kid version of that but it was still very fun! My friends and I decided to try the Squid Game option and it was very fun. The idea is that you put on these hats with motion detector sensors and you complete different challenges that also appear in Squid Games. Here are some of my favorite things from that experience: - I appreciate that the game was very easy to set up and maneuver around and we didn't need any help from the front desk which is nice. - I really liked the beginning challenges in this series, especially with Dalgona and Red Light Green Light as those were genuinely very difficult. - The idea of controlling the mouse on your head was also very different and I appreciate that it was very sensitive and accurate to your movement. - Something radically different than other experiences in New York as most of the time when you hang out with friends, at least for me, you're just constantly eating. - And of course, thank you for the free experience and free drink Yelp! Next time I come, I will come with a smaller group as I think 6 people didn't allow us to get enough of our own plays in.

Visited on a Friday night and had a reservation for 8:30pm. Ran a few minutes late but the staff was chill about it. We played the squid games and it was a cool experience. Your player in the game is controlled via headset and cameras in the room. All of the walls are touch screen which is cool. Would recommend for big groups, teens and kiddos!

During the event, we ran into several major issues that completely ruined the experience. To list them: - Objectives were skipped or were not working properly - The interactivity between the rooms was not working - One of the rooms did not initialize properly and it required the entire event to be restarted midway through (This can be seen in one of the uploaded photos, the indicator lights showing where we were in regards to the completion of the room was already lit up to 3 out of the 4 lights when we had first entered) To expand on the last point, a room was stuck in a glitched state that did not register our actions, particularly during the wiring objective (This can be seen in two of the uploaded photos, I included the correct wiring as well as the correct wiring guide). We had attempted to contact staff during this time and the speakers were too quiet to have a conversation and explain that something was wrong. It took several minutes to get a staff member to help us, and several more to reset the room again. The staff member did what he could to assist us and that we appreciate, however the solution to "make-up" the lost time was to get handheld during the remainder of the experience. I hope this is clear enough to say that for a $694.28 experience, two rooms being glitchy with one needing a full reset is unacceptable. The employee had stated that some credit can be given due to the severity of the issues, however I was not looking for credit given the circumstances. He gave us an email to contact the manager of this business for a refund. I had emailed the provided email address as well as the one connected to a feedback link three times now with no answer. It has been about 2 weeks without any response. Extremely disappointing experience, I would not go again and am actively looking to for a refund.
