We did the hangover themed room and although we escaped, we all left thinking the room could have been much better. The puzzles weren't very creative and most of the time it didn't flow or make logical sense how things were put together. The concept of a hangover themed room is fun, so the room just could have been better all around. When leaving we asked "how would we have known to do ___" and the game master told us that they have to tell most people that clue. That is a clue to the company that they probably should change something. read more

We had a fun time! We definitely needed a little help along the way from the employees but they were great with helping out. Only our 3rd time doing an escape room and we will definitely go back. read more

We had allot of fun, bring your A game, take vitamins & whatever it takes to open up your awareness & critical thinking. We did the new SpeakEasy theme & we're not successful in finishing, but I believe in YOU! Place feels new & super clean, they were not very busy, so go there to make sure this fun can stay open!! read more

Brought my youth group there. We had 3 different games going on at the Same time. They were very professional and made sure everyone had a great time. We will return. I appreciate the pictures they email us. read more

My daughter wanted to go to escape 101 for her 10th birthday party. They were very accommodating and the girls had such an amazing time. The staff was great and very helpful! I would highly recommend! read more

We were in the area for a vacation with my older daughter's high school soccer team and had plenty of down time to spend with her younger sibling. We did the VR escape room and horror experience and had the absolute best time! The quality of the game was awesome and the people who run the place were nothing short of spectacular... friendly and helpful they helped make the experience perfect. We had so much fun that we did a different VR room there the next night with my older daughter with us and had just as much fun. Thank you Escape Room 101! read more

Such a great escape room! Affordable, clean, friendly and challenging. Staff is so nice. We did the murder mystery room and it was a blast! We had to get a lot of clues (there was only two of us) but they didn't make us feel bad for asking, which was nice. Also every room is private and you only pay per person which made it so affordable. We will be back! read more

This was our first time doing an escape room and we had a blast doing it. It was so much fun and I would highly recommend it. There were 4 of us and ended up solving the puzzle with only 3 min 43 seconds to go. Can't wait to go again Ages ranged from 68 to read more

What a fine time. It's a great afternoon thing to do with friends or older kids. Although we died we did have a great time. The staff was super nice and friendly. read more

We have done a lot of escape rooms and were super disappointed in this company. Let's start from the beginning, where I can point out that they are getting 2 stars instead of 1 because the employees were nice. However, there was 1 employee that decided to go smoke a cigarette immediately before walking us back to our room to explain the rules. With none of us being smokers, we didn't enjoy spending an hour in a room smelling like smoke. I thought it was super rude. If you need to smoke, then have another one of the employees walk us back. We decided on doing The Hangover room, which we were super excited for. We actually refreshed our memory on the movie before we went, thinking it would be based mostly off of the movie. Once we got into the room, that's when everything went wrong. The room was TINY and extremely hot. With 8 adults, you could barely move. There certainly were not enough clues/puzzles in the room for 8 people, so most of us just spent time standing there doing nothing. There were random ties into the movie, but hardly at all. The objective was to look for 3 items. The weirdest thing is that they don't even lock you in the room. They said "feel free to go to the bathroom or step outside". This is weird to me and takes away an aspect of the fun, but I imagine it's a liability aspect. Without giving away any of the clues/puzzles, I can tell you that this escape room is IMPOSSIBLE with just the stuff in the room. There is literally NO way you can escape this room without using clues from the employees. My family is competitive and prides themselves on not using clues to get out. The girl in the beginning did tell us over and over again, don't let your pride get you and use our clues. But you should not HAVE to use clues to get out. The other extremely weird thing is that in other rooms, typically you finish all of the locks/clues in the first room and then go to the second and do not have to go back and forth. This one is not like that. We would have never known that until the end, because again-the puzzles did not tell us that. With all of this being said, we will not come here again. We all left feeling mad and frustrated. Even after the clues were explained to us, we didn't understand how we could have come to the conclusion. And we had a pharmacist and an engineer in our group, so it was not just a lack of IQ. My suggestion to the business owner is to restructure these rooms so that people can figure them out on their own. You should not be proud of a 41% success rate and a record of 55 out of 60 minutes. This just means your room does not make sense! read more

Took my sister here and we did the VR- Hospital of Horrors experience. It was AMAZING! Staff is so friendly, and was extremely helpful. Will definitely be back! read more

This was my first escape room experience. I had no idea what to expect and... both my 13 year-old daughter & I had a blast! We selected the GOT-inspired room (Dragon Eggs Quest), which was fantastic. Sean, one of the owners/managers, was incredibly helpful and insightful. Highly recommended. We will be back without a doubt. read more

Great room. Great experience. One of the cleanest escape rooms in town, too! Took six 12-13 year old girls and we had an absolute blast. Highly recommended! read more

We've done a regular room here before but this time we did the virtual reality escape room! It was so cool and very real! We had a blast being stuck in a virtual world for an hour. read more

We have done other rooms at other places before and love the experience. Although this room was cool and had some cool effects, had those effects worked properly it would have been much better. Had to Jimmy the drawer open to get to that clue. We could hear it clicking but it wasnt opening on it's own like its suppose to. The armoire was to slide over on it's on via the mechanism but they had to give us a clue and tell us to slide it over. Just wasnt as fun as other places we have been. read more

Booked a room for my daughter's bday party. First time doing it so had a little trepidation about the no refund policy with Covid going on. Person I spoke to suggested booking the room with just 2 people and, since it's a private room, to bring everyone on the day and pay for the rest of the guests then. Really appreciated this since he could have said nothing and it put my mind at ease. The staff was great, kids had a fun time, and they were able to solve the mystery. My daughter wants to do another room and I'd like to join in next time. read more

very nice room setup, clues were very good, just enough to move us forward

Fabulous customer service and explanation of the room. The Falcon Softball Team had a blast trying to escape this room! We would do this again! Thanks! read more

My new favorite activity. Great family fun, if you have older children. Get to interact with each other and work together. My young adult children have been to 3 different escape rooms(Tempe and Scottsdale) and compared to the others it was on par, if not better. The staff was really great and seamed excited to be there. Once we finished the cowboy themed room we immediately asked if we could do another because we had so much fun. read more

Had a great time. The guy giving us hints was very helpful. I highly recommend doing the murder mystery one

Took my 8 and 10 year old kids. We had a blast even though we didnt solve all the puzzles. We are already talking about when we can go back.

Had a blast with the candy escape room. Brought my 10 year old and her friend and while they needed my help, it was a good game for the kids (as long as there is an adult for the more difficult parts) read more

This was such a great and awesome experience!!! Very challenging and a lot of fun. Went with my girlfriend who also had a great time. My favorite part is even if you get stuck and can't figure it out they give you tips and clues that make it easier on you! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for some brain fun! read more

Rude to little kids! Escape Rooms themselves are fine, management is rude and impatient. I had brought my 8 year old kid in a couple times and they were cool and I think didn't charge him once. The third time, he got scared of a new room that was super loud and kept making noises that startled him so he wanted to leave 25 minutes in to the hour session. I simply asked if we could have a half credit for another room a future time and the lady said no and was super rude. I didn't even ask for money back . Like a very Harsh and loud voice with my kid there. I asked why and she said because it was reserved for the hour which I get , but then she said the reason is because we booked that time and others couldn't play. But she also claimed there were people 'waiting outside ' as walk ins who could go right in, as 'clean up ' would take 2 mins we opened a couple drawers. So she easily probably filled that time and put another 'walk in' group right in and was able to get money for that half hour , they didn't have to wait a half hour for the room! It's not like a hotel room that needs cleaning service . The bottom line is they should have just said ok we understand , escape rooms aren't meant for 8 year olds typically but we understand your son likes them so here's a 50% voucher for next time . Instead just cold and cold rude , owner guy was impatient previous times but was pretty nice to try to help us with clues . The correct thing to do in my mind is to say no worries we can give you a partial credit for next time which costs them nothing . I get their point of view but there's a way to handle it with a kid it's not like some teenagers messing around read more

I did the western room and loved it. It was decorated greatly, and I did it with 5 people who had never done it before, so they really helped us with clues to get out. It was so great I wanted to bring my family back just two days later for the hangover one. My family has done near 20 escape rooms and have only not gotten out maybe 1 or 2 times. We started off strong in this hangover room, only had asked for 2 clues, and by the time we needed a 3rd clue we had 19 minutes left and were completely stuck. We repeatedly asked over and over for help since we were doing NOTHING, and half the group sat down and we all lost interest. Finally after 18 minutes they decide to give us a clue to help us but at that point we didn't have enough time to get out. It's extremely disappointing when the employees hinder you from getting out by with holding information till the very last second. We lost interest, and left disappointed, and discouraged to go back. read more

This was my first Escape Room experience. It was so much fun, we scheduled another escape room for the following day. The "puzzle" my group took on was fun and creative with many interconnecting steps. The staff at Escape Room 101 was personable and helped to make the experience one that has me looking forward to doing it again. read more

We had a corporate event here and we all loved it. Awesome friendly staffs. Hats off to the clue master who delivered them exactly when we wanted. I think compare to other places, these guys have dedicated person per game which I think is essential. Will ba back again for sure!! read more

We did two of the escape rooms in one day. We enjoyed it so much after the first room, we did another. Luckily the second room we available. I do think they fill up, so make a reservation. The staff was friendly. And it was fun. We will be back! read more

My boyfriend and I escaped from the Cowboy Mobster room tonight. We have done almost 50 escape rooms throughout the valley, and this was by far one of our favorites! The puzzles were unique, engaging, fun, relevant, and the props and decor were some of the best we've seen. This room utilized many things that we have literally never used in an escape room before. The clue master gave us clues at exactly the right time and didn't give away too much info, but just nudged us along a few times when we needed it. We are both so excited to try the other rooms. I'm blown away by how fantastic this place is! read more

Awesome place! Perfect time spent with the family trying to figure out the clues! While we didn't make it out of there in 60 minutes, we worked hard and had a great time! We will surely be back again soon to try it again as well as the other rooms. Thanks for the periodic hints as without those, we'd probably still be in there :-) read more

The room was fun overall. Was a bit put off when the greeter didn't have a required mask.
