Before heading in, be prepared to lock up your phones in the provided lockers. What happens in those rooms stays in those rooms! Our group did the Titanic room, and the adventure did not disappoint. Every little detail matters, seriously, the smallest clues make the biggest difference. And anytime we hit a wall, hints were available to keep us moving without spoiling the fun. Im happy to report we made it onto the lifeboat with our life jackets on . Azi was a fantastic host, friendly, clear with the rules, and congratulated us when we escaped. Booked axe throwing for a group of 4. The website is very difficult to use for axe throwing, so we went in person to make the reservation. The business was open, but we waited and waited for someone to come assist us. When it came to the day of, the employees were nice and helpful, but the axe throwing is a bust. The plywood used is so hard that the axes bounce right off. There is an axe throwing business in kingwood that uses more porous wood (and will wet it a bit) so your axes actually go into the wood when you throw them! This plywood left us all feeling unsuccessful after an hour. They have a good music system and digital backgrounds for throwing. They have good drink selection but no food on the premises, so bring your own food. I have heard their escape rooms are better than axe throwing, as they need to update the wood used. read more

One of the mechanisms didn't trip when we are all 95% sure we triggered it with 15 minutes left for 3 more clues. Definitely cutting it close, but we like to think we would've succeeded if the mechanism would've functioned as designed. Overall a fun experience for first time escape room players. Wasted time unnecessarily just trying to open the combination locks after getting the clue with the right code. I've never done escape room and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised in doing so I mean it does have limited space. It is darkly late and it is a bit difficult if you've never done it to get some of the promises but if you've got a group of three or more and you're hanging out at home and you're tired of doing the same old same old definitely check this place out ax throwing the beverages for purchase, of course but that's understandable any business assets. Robin survive your Houston Funtime enjoyed it only drawback was I wear glasses it was a little bit difficult to see, but it was definitely unless you do had a great time. Problems: Lack Of clues/Hints In The Game, Lighting, Extra/Unnecessary Items, Staff, Unclear Instruction. Before this starts I'd just like to shortly note that these problems have been around for well over a year judging by the other reviews I've seen with similar ratings: Spoilers from "The Screams Below" Me and my family did "The Screams Below" and it was probably by far the worse escape room we've experienced. At the very start of the game, we had a malfunction. We figured out what we needed to do straight away, but it still took around 10to15mins to get to the next clue, because the buttons were supposedly "out of sync" and didn't work. We were told this by two employees who had to come in originally saying it was because of us, but then had to get it open through their control panel because it wouldn't open for them either. Luckily we got through the first part of the room afterwards, but a constant problem of not having proper guidance through the clues/founded items was very adamant. Magnets, list of killed people, extra locks, all things we found but nothing else given to figure out what it goes to or what to do with it. We needed the staff to help us and give us some kind of clue as to how to get to the next room which completely takes away the entire purpose of the escape room. The next portion of the room was covered in "do not touch" stickers. We were told this meant the section had nothing to do with the game, we didn't mind this at all until we found out this was not the case and actually need some of the "do not touch" labeled sections for the game, causing us to waste mountains of time. At this point i feel the staff knew the problems this room, seeing as without us even asking they began proving the missing guidance in the game(Color combos, riddles, what sections were improperly labeled as do not touch, etc). I wish i could say that was it but only telling two main extra problems we had with the game was the lighting of the room and the extra items that weren't even part of the game (wires, clear plates, broken purple UV flashlight etc). The lighting alone was horrible and we were not provided anything to combat it until the end which it didn't even work for longer than 30seconds. We couldn't see anything in the rooms we were in and in turn couldn't find the things needed. The colored UV lights attached to the walls had made it even worse since certain sections were color coded and the lights changed the colors we were supposed to be looking at. By the time all of this was over we ended up running out of time after yet another improperly explained section and instead of an apology or compensation, my family was instead blamed by staff... I would never recommend this to anyone. I cannot imagine what the other escape rooms would be like if this was the experience with only one. read more

It was just us two doing it together which I liked, place was less busy than I had expected. Neither of us had done an escape room before and weren't sure what to expect, we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Basically, it is like it sounds when you read about it - lock you in a room and use clues to escape. But we did not realize the amount of detail/decoration that went into the rooms, very cool. Not all clues worked in the room, some clues we followed all directions but still nothing happened, even after "help" from our room guide. He had to come in a few times to tell us that certain things were malfunctioning so he had to redirect us. Feels like we were cheated out of the full experience and for sure we won't be back to this location. Unfortunately, the room seemed to be very used and not really maintained. You could see where things were worn from being solved. It took away from us solving it ourselves. I've recently gone to Escape Artist in Kingwood and they provided a much better experience (clean, well-maintained rooms, functioning licks and clues, super friendly and fun staff, clear directions, etc.) Will not return to Escape It, but would definitely return to Escape Artist if looking for an escape room in the humble/Kingwood area. read more

I would absolutely go again! So it's hard to explain how cool it was without giving away the game. However, everything else about this experience was great. It was super easy to book our spots for the escape online, and pay as well. Each room ( they offer 3-Titanic, Egyptian/mummy, and quarantine) can accommodate up to 10 people to escape the room. Ours was a group of 9. The clues, direction, and order of the game isn't exactly given, so it's a real challenge... that's the fun part! The staff was friendly and answered any questions we had. They have lockers to keep your belongings while you escape. They suggest not having any purses and/or phones in the room. More so for the experience , so you aren't distracted or distract others. You get 1 hour to escape, and you will definitely need the time. It was $29+ tax/fees per person on a Friday night. I'm pretty sure that's the going rate. My youngest son is interested in absolutely anything to do with the Titanic, so when my wife saw that Escape It had opened a Titanic-themed escape room, we booked a reservation for our family to try it on our son's birthday. I don't want to give away too much of the experience, but I'll say that it was "just the right amount of difficult." The clues were helpful without revealing too much, and the room really requires all members of your group to contribute. We had an absolute blast, and everybody cheered when we escaped with 6 minutes to spare! All of my children have already asked if we can come back and try the other rooms. read more

Ramses's Revenge: This was a last minute idea we did after spending the day with family. We were actually quite surprised to find a room open on Christmas day and are very happy to have found this place. The staff was very friendly (even being there on a holiday) and the room was fantastic - from the decor to the puzzles we were impressed and hope we can get back to do another room some time. Theme:Just wow - all of this was so well done and let's just say we were seriously impressed by parts of this. Disappointed, is the one word that describes our whole experience today. We have been to 40+ escape rooms, including this one around Houston. We decided to try the new escape room they had called lost in time. Upon arrival with time to spare they rushed us in the room even though my son had to use the restroom badly. First, they said the bathroom was getting cleaned then, they said it will be open in 5 minutes. After five minutes my son decided to go because he really need too and it was locked with a sign that says out of order. I had a strong feeling that the staff was trying to push us out of there and try to make us leave as fast as possible. Somehow they said the last party clogged both restrooms, men and women and they need to call the plumber and I'll be fixed next week. They helped us on a other puzzle for free . We were stuck and then we asked to repost the hint, but instead they gave us another clue and wasted it when we didn't even ask for it(they did this again and wasted 2 more of our clues so we had 1 left). It seemed like that the host wasn't listening and doing other things which is unacceptable. We felt like we were pushed like cattle to leave the game. Time and money wasted on a nice Sunday trying to have fun with my son. Seeing a business reputation being destroyed by a unworthy, untrained, and uncaring staff is sad. Out of all of the 40+ rooms we did around town overall the room was well done, but the staff killed the experience. 0/10 If you see the staff not not caring then leave before your time getting wasted. read more

I did Rameses Revenge today with one other person. I had a hard time seeing in the room because it was really dark, but the puzzles were fun and unique. At one point, the whole room was filled with smoke. I was not warned ahead of time that they would be using smoke machines. I have asthma and had to wait for the room to clear most of the way before being able to help. Even then, I had a hard time breathing and had to keep my shirt over my face and leave the room a few times. Even with having to leave the room several times, we still finished the room with more than 20 minutes left. I do not recommend this room for someone with breathing problems or for anyone with poor night vision. read more
