    The Cabin

This place was so fun and Brandon was such a great host. We had a blast and definitely recommend this place

My fiancé and I did NOT escape the collector

LOVE. LOVE. LOVED it. I have been wanting to do an official escape room for so long after doing a mobile one in college years ago. I took my fiancé who has never been to one. I should have done a reservation but luckily they had ONE walk in available which was THE CABIN. It was terrifyingly suspenseful to look for the clues as the "collector" does come around and it was just the two of us. The clues are super challenging but the game master does a wonderful job of helping you out the best as they can (hopefully you're not like us and completely struggle even with hints) but as you progress through the game and the clues start to click, it becomes really fun. I do wish the timer was a little more suspenseful to create the urgency of getting out, BUT the cabin was already so creepy that I do not think I would have been able to think clearly if it was . We both enjoyed the game and we will definitely be back for another room! Highly recommended and also recommend making an appointment as they typically to not have all rooms available for a walk in. I also reposted the map guide as the escape rooms do not face out into the parking lot, you have to walk and look for it.

My husband and I had a great time! It was a lot of fun solving all the clues and we barely got out in time. The game master was friendly, helpful, and gave the right amount of clues. It was a perfect escape room for a date night. We hope to come back when we are in town again.

Ask the Community - Escape In Time

Is the Squid Game activity an escape room?

It is an adrenaline pumping Competitive Puzzle Room set in Squid Game Style with all the games from your childhood reimagined (monopoly, clue, sorry, etc). So while it has escape room type puzzles, no escape room gives you 60 puzzles in 60…

Can someone tell me how to finish it?

Yes, the game master is super good at giving clues and guiding you to the right path.

With titles like Batman, Scooby Doo, pirates, and more, it's easy to find a theme that appeals to you. You have to come with some aptitude (and maybe a little knowledge of the genre) and go in with a (hopefully) cohesive group of people. It's challenging enough to really make you work your noggin to solve riddles and piece together puzzles. You'll have to cooperate with your teammates but work quickly to beat the clock... The experience delivers excitement without turning up the anxiety too much. Hands-on and very immersive! The rooms have some pretty cool tech, like secret compartments and special effects. The challenges are cleverly written, and the rooms are designed to showcase the grand scheme. Now, enter the "Game Masters" - onsite workers who do a few things behind the scenes (like trigger events and offer clues/help as leniency, if you get too stumped). Our group of 8 (adults and a couple of kiddos) played the Batman Escape game on regular mode, and we ALL enjoyed it tremendously!!! We racked our brains, we cheered, we panicked (only a little), we laughed (a lot)... and we won (phew, haha!). Really impressed by how creative and well-executed the game was. Highly recommend doing an escape room as a unique group activity, and this place handles the crowd and delivers the experience very well! Definitely coming back again, for another game!!!

My husband and I booked the 2 hour experience. It seems like a lot of time, but once you play, it feels like it's not enough! The rooms truly are best played with 2-4 players. There are some rooms where 2 people is nearly impossible to get a perfect score, and there are some rooms where people would just be standing around if you have more than 4 players. Your team will have a team leader who will wear a specific wristband that opens the rooms and allows you to view your score on a big screen in the hallways. If your team doesn't care about rankings and want to just play for fun, then you can go at your own pace or split up if possible, depending on the size of your team. For example, if you have a total of 6 people playing, you could be one team with 1 team captain. For scoring, it would be best to stick together. Or you can split into two teams and have two team captains. That way, your team could split up into teams of 2 and 4 or 3 and 3 depending on the game/room. If you do care about rankings, then stick with your team and try to solve as many rooms as possible and get the perfect score. The rooms are so different! It's a lot of fun. There is definitely something for every one and many rooms to solve. Within the 2 hours, my husband and I were not able to go through all the rooms. Man, after we were done, we wanted to play more! It was exhilarating because you are trying to get through as many rooms as you can and trying to get the best score. It's like we were on a game show. haha Some rooms are addicting to where you want to just play it over and over again, but if you care about your ranking, just move on! lol The rooms have a time limit, which helps you pace yourself and prevent people from hogging a room the entire time. It gives off a "minute-it to win-it" vibe. Running around and trying to find an available room is also fun in itself. It's like a labyrinth in there. There were some technical issues with some rooms. For example, there was a soccer room where one of the goals would not score at all, so that messed with our points. There was another room involving a subway where I seriously think several answers were not on the posters provided. However, it was still fun! The employees were all super nice! One of the employees even helped us play in one room because it was one of those rooms where it would have been impossible to get a good score with only 2 people. I would say this isn't exactly a "one and done" type place. If you play with different people, it will be a different experience. Certain rooms you can definitely memorize and just plug in the answers. However, there are other rooms that are sports and arcade style, so replaying it would still be fun. Furthermore, you may not finish all the rooms the first time and by the next time you come back, they may have added additional rooms/games. Also, since they track rankings, you could try to get a better score the next time you come. The price is sort of expensive, but I think it's worth it. I mean, it's not something I would do every weekend, but I can definitely see us coming back a few more times for special occasions. They do serve food inside the venue. They have a really cool little glass box outside of each room to put your drinks inside. Also, they have free lockers to put in your purse and other valuables if you wish. There are also several cool photo opportunities. This place is just amazing. You have to just come and experience it yourself! It's all good because Strawberry Scarlett stayed on top till the very end. Yes there is some salt in that statement. It was a fantastic event overall. I am thinking the manager was having a little bit of scare towards the beginning and during team assignments (hence not 5 stars). I get it, it's overwhelming expecting so many people. But with mom out of town for the weekend, I was looking for stuff to do with my son, and it actually seemed like a pretty solid option. He's 6 years old and plays (kid-friendly) Squid Games worlds on Roblox. It's one of his favorite things to do, actually. So when I saw that they had a Squid Games thing here, I was pretty intrigued. It was noted to be 12+ though, so I opted to not book in advance and just ask the people working here when I arrived, if it would be appropriate for him. They all universally said that it would probably be too challenging for a 6 year old. So we booked Paw Patrol instead. Walking in on a Saturday meant that we had an hour wait, which was no problem because we had plenty to do at the mall in the meantime. He absolutely loved it. He hasn't stopped talking about it in the 24 hours since we finished. It was definitely easy enough for him to figure out how to play, other than the 2nd to last game where you were supposed to herd ducks and fish into their body of water. Even I struggled with that game. But the rest of it was very manageable. It's not the cheapest way to spend an afternoon, but we will definitely be back to do this again in the future.

Clues are unlimited and given without penalty if needed. Most clues/puzzles are straightforward (can still be challenging but seems like people could eventually figure them out), but there have been one or two where we all agreed they were a stretch... Still fun! For newbies, the Gold Rush room is a fun introduction on the easier side that can easily be done without hints. Escape rooms are great to play and then discuss over a meal after, and they make a great team-bonding experience! If you have some extra time, you can play another game afterwards for a discount on the same day :D The only thing I can find fault with: if you have less than 8 players, then there may be other groups joining you. So if one wants to guarantee a completely private game, they'll have to book out 8 spots. Other places don't have that rule, so if that's not an option, look for the game rooms in the suburbs (namely, in Sugarland!). There's also another location at City Center that has even more rooms! I'm pretty sad that we've pretty much played all the games over the years, so I'm really hoping they swap in some new rooms... fingers crossed!
