Two workers came to do the installation. Although they both worked hard at the task, neither had done such a job before, restarting the job twice and calling a local awning company for advice. Due to their inexperience and a rising wind, the workers had to leave with the work undone. The second day one of the workers returned and finished the task. A total of about 7 man hours of labor were expended to do the work that in prior years was accomplished in 3 to 4 man hours. The owner of the franchise was unwilling to negotiate the cost of the work. I paid for on-the-job training as well as for the actual installation. The cost to install the awning was roughly FIVE times the cost as for previous years. I'll will never I hire this company again.

Only when I told AI Dane to cancel the project did I get a text--not a call--from someone named Chris (was he AI? who knows) saying that he thinks it will be "around $850." After all that waiting I would rather go through someone else. They may do good work--I can't speak to that--but their communication needs a lot of improvement. Update: Chris apparently is real, at least he said so in a text, and said that there were some issues that came up on their side and that they were sorry. Honestly, if a message had just been communicated to me that there were some issues and that that they would be able to get to it the following week, I would have been fine! I am not a jerk.
