When I initially called the experience was fine. Appointment was relatively fast to set up and Matt came to the house to check out the issue with our sink. The sink needed replacing, so he said a quote would be coming soon. It was at that point that things began to take a turn. Matt came on a Wednesday. By that Friday afternoon I had heard nothing regarding a quote or any additional information, so I called. I got the AI phone answer service "Dane", who is meant to sound real (with computer keyboard clicking and background voice noise) but is clearly not. AI Dane said that someone would call me back. Nothing. The weekend went by, Monday, Tuesday then Wednesday--a full week--went by. AI Dane was happy to take a message and have someone return my call. Only when I told AI Dane to cancel the project did I get a text--not a call--from someone named Chris (was he AI? who knows) saying that he thinks it will be "around $850." After all that waiting I would rather go through someone else. They may do good work--I can't speak to that--but their communication needs a lot of improvement. Update: Chris apparently is real, at least he said so in a text, and said that there were some issues that came up on their side and that they were sorry. Honestly, if a message had just been communicated to me that there were some issues and that that they would be able to get to it the following week, I would have been fine! I am not a jerk. But I do need businesses that make the effort to communicate clearly, which did not happen. read more

If I could give a zero stars I would. I contacted this company to close out a couple plumbing permits that I had with the city. I didn't realize after I made the last payment for work that a prior plumber had done that he was didn't close out the permit. As result, we can't close on the sale of our house due to open permits. This is explained to the plumber, Matt Sullivan when we contacted him. Matt did come by and said it shouldn't be a problem to take care of the various things that the prior Plumber had done. He was very personable and certainly seemed to know what he was doing and he said he would contact the cities plumbing inspector and arrange for a meeting to verify what needed to be done. I called him back over the next 2 weeks no less than 10 times to check to see how things were going. The phone was never answered and so I left 10 voicemails. None of them were ever responded to. I called the company number several times and once or twice they answered out of half a dozen. They said that the plumber would contact me to close the permits. After nearly 3 weeks and me checking with the plumbing inspector Paul, who I've got to know quite well after all this, he said no one ever called and he suggested that I contact another plumber. We are supposed to be closing on the sale of this house in six days and these folks left me in a really bad situation. Whatever you do, don't use these people, you will get no response they will just waste your time, especially if you're trying to close on a sale. One lesson I learned from all this is, if any work is done on your property whether it's plumbing, electrical HVAC building make sure that they have pulled the permit and before you make your last payment that you have a copy of the closed permit in your hand, otherwise, no final check. After a less than 2 hour "repair" and $670.00 later, we have our toilet that no longer wobbles, with a new wax ring that probably set back Plumbing Solutions by no more than $10.00. I had a garbage disposal unit that needed to be fixed. I identified the issue late at night and sent a message to Plumbing Solutions since they had good reviews and were close by. They contacted me in the morning and gave me the first immediate opening. They sent over a very professional and qualified plumber (Enrique) and his assistant (Jake), and the office kept me posted on their ETA via text messages until they arrived. Less than 30 minutes later, they replaced the disposal with a new one, and the issue was resolved. I especially appreciate their customer service, courtesy, and professionalism. I like that they notify you about their arrival time every step of the way and that they wear plastic booties upon entering the home, and accept digital payments. I highly recommend them! read more

We suffered from water damage at the expense of a neighbor. We called plumbing solutions, who were initially quite helpful. When it came to questions that required extra communication, that is where we feel they dropped the ball. It took a while to find someone to answer our questions, probably a week or more of phone tag and emails. There was also quite a bit of miscommunication, from actually speaking with someone, to pricing/what option we chose. There were 2 options presented to us, with pricing differences of a few hundred dollars. It seemed like if we chose the more expensive option, it would include the initial work/first option PLUS final touches. This was sadly not the case, and they expected a few thousand for a few plug in/attachments (i.e. sink, dishwasher, garbage disposal). Front of house work (AKA actual appt work) went smoothly, along with the inspection. No concerns there! read more

They replaced my toilet with a new one, diagnosed and fixed the underlying pipes, which also needed replacement due to the initial installation being shoddy, and also fixed my shower bolt quickly and efficiently. (They also very nicely explained to me what exactly was happening with the pipes and the reasoning behind their recommendation and provided costs upfront). The team was also polite and pleasant to be around. Would definitely hire this company again! The only slight nit I have is that there is an $85 fee for 'small jobs', but I wasn't able to get a definition of what separates a small job from a large one, and generally don't love that there's a flat fee for this. I had a slow shower drain that needed to be fixed in my rental unit. I started out on a good foot with Plumbing Solutions. They answered the phone promptly and had someone come out right away. When the plumber came he said the trap on the shower was old and needed to be replaced. He also said it needed to be snaked. He used some silly price list on an iPad to look up an exorbitant price for the service. (Why not just charge time and materials like other plumbers?) I begrudgingly agreed to the high price because I needed it fixed for my tenant. He did the work quickly and the shower seemed to be running fine. I was satisfied with the work at the time even though it cost a whopping $675. A couple weeks later and the shower was backing up again but worse than before. My tenant also complained that the drain stopper was screwed on so tight she couldn't flip it. I tried to reach out to Plumbing Solutions to get it fixed but they ghosted me. I called multiple times and left multiple messages. They never responded. Meanwhile my tenant couldn't really shower. So I gave up and called Roscia's Plumbing instead. They came out, fixed the overtightened drain, and then snaked the trap. The visit from that plumber only cost me $150. The shower drain has been perfect since then. I will not use Plumbing Solutions again. read more

Another outstanding job by Plumbing Solutions, this time by Yakov assisted by Tom. The pipe for outside spigots had burst inside the house wall. Yakov and his assistant Tom replaced the system and found areas of stress on the pipes that had been installed years ago. (off-vertical pipe stressing the connection, disintegrating spigot seals). All in all, they didn't simply repair the burst pipe but in effect upgraded the system at reasonable cost. Both men were highly professional, friendly, and thorough as well as excellent trouble-shooters, and they reviewed everything with me as it was done. We've used Plumbing Solutions for multiple jobs (old house, odd pipes), and everyone who has done work for us did a great job. read more

I saw all the positive reviews and called. I just moved into a house that needed a water line to the fridge and a new faucet in one of the showers. They were here on the 2nd day. Kevin was great explaining what needed to be done. I have a few more things that need to be done and will definitely use them again. One negative is their pricing, this project was $670.00 for 2-3 hours of work. They also quoted installing a toilet I bought at $500-600.00. I'll be doing this myself. read more

I've used Plumbing Solutions twice and both jobs couldn't have gone any better. Artie fixed a leak from the upstairs shower that at least three other plumbers failed to fix. He worked on that job for three hours and it was not an easy repair, but he persevered and was successful!
