I called this business because I had concerns about the condition the company left my basement after doing some maintenance work for a neighbor in my condo building, namely, they plastered their stickers on my new water tank, which they did not manufacture or install for me. The person who answered the phone took a rude tone and hung up on me when I asked they return to the property to remove them. I was very upset because I only had the unit a few months, was still paying off a loan on it, and it was vandalized without my consent. read more

He was quick to reply but my cell phone was not near me so I did not hear it. I phoned him the next day and he asked a few quick questions and asked for photos. I went downstairs and said "one last time" because my fingers weren't "working well" after a day of keyboarding ... voila ... I got the snap ring to close for the garbage disposal. I will check with Green Tech the next time I have a plumbing issue. :-) read more

I have a house full including one disabled person and a relative whose spouse is in the ICU. We have 2 toilets, one is small and set up for disability. The 'regular' toilet that most of us are using stopped working on a Sunday. I happily paid Green Tech's $200 emergency fee. The tech said the toilet valve had failed and quoted $475 for a replacement, a total comparable to replacing the whole toilet which I had actually set up early in the week. I paid because of the pressure of a household of 6 people all sharing one functioning toilet, the one being used by the disabled person right now--it includes one elderly relatively able person who would need to descent a flight of stairs. So whatever. I paid. Replacing the valve took about 10 minutes including the trip to the van for the part. When I checked, the part costs $24.95. I called to complain and the person answering the phone said I had been given a quote and the cost should have been $575 but they took $100 off. They said they have expenses like insurance and gas and van. I needed it but will never work with them again, as much as I liked the tech individually. read more

David and his team are always professional and provide high-quality work. We recently had an issue with a corroded and leaky gas line in our basement, and Green Tech resolved the issue very rapidly and made improvements to the infrastructure that will help us in the future. read more

We had a new quarter-turn toilet valve installed, since the previous one was corroded beyond repair. Dave was prompt, courteous, and got the job done quickly. read more

Came home after a 12hr overnight shift to water gushing out of the top of one of the water heaters. I sent a text to Green Tech and they responded with in 30 minutes. less than 2 hours later they were at the front door to check it out, 2 hours later had a new water heater installed. The Tech was polite and professional. Explained what he would do and the cost. If you live in Boston you know the cost for plumbing/heating/electric is a premium. But you get quality work for that price. read more

I have remove a star for never receiving a receipt for the work. I asked about half a dozen times and never got a receipt even though they said they sent it. I paid in cash. Still everything else I said above was true. read more

You'll likely get a tech that day, but you'll regret it later. If you're looking to get overcharged, techs that rush to leave and don't do proper diagnosis, and an owner that will ignore you after he extracts all the money he can from you, then this is the company for you! I had an issue with my furnace, they sent a tech for a $100 fee to show up, and the tech surprised me asking for $300 more if he "opens his toolbox". They did basically a safety bypass to kick the system into working again, but I pleaded that this issue has been recurring and to look deeper, sure enough it failed a few days later. And then the owner ghosted me, telling me to they're suddenly unavailable for three weeks. About a month later, cold and desperate, I went against my better judgement and reached out to them again. They sent a tech, did the same thing, it worked for a day, failed. And now the owner again won't respond to my calls or texts. So they will be quick to send help at a premium price, but don't expect anything other than a quick cash grab and and owner that's quick to ghost you. read more

We were cleaning the shower head in our 2nd bathroom and realized that we were unable to turn off the water. Hector came the next day and explained that the the valve was broken and had to be replaced. He gave us two options, one to fix the problem and the second, a permanent fix. The responsiveness of the company and reliability makes me want to call them again in the future. read more

Excellent response time - and sent a plumber within about an hour and a half. HOWEVER, they charged me $100 to book and then another $375 for basic service, WHICH TOOK THE PLUMBER 20 MINUTES TO COMPLETE!!! I understand that there are a lot of back costs for running a business, however their pricing structure is a "price gouge" as one other reviewer noted. Why not charge by the hour? Like most people? or by the service? The plumber that came was excellent - however the pricing is outrageous. read more

I scheduled an estimate with them between 8-10am today and they no-showed. When I contacted them to see if they were still coming, I got no response. read more

Worked quickly and kept me informed well! Trustworthy and let me know all my options.

I wish that were true. If you quoted $1800 when I called asking to have my gas valve replaced, I would have done it myself and saved $1650. Unfortunately, you didn't tell me the price until afterwards. There was also no invoice. You just wanted cash. read more

They price gouge. Took advantage of urgency and the fact that they were already on site to offer too high of prices, then insisted they are offering the same or better than others. After getting quotes from other vendors, it is clear they were offering too high a price compared to other vendors. After giving services, I asked for a receipt and they were not able to provide one. Asked me to send a request by email. When asked for a price breakdown, they gave what seemed like an intentionally unclear answer. read more

They arrived the same day for a non-emergency shut-off valve replacement. They were knowledgeable and courteous. They arrived right on time, and were in and out in 30 minutes. Solid work. I strongly recommend Green Tech! read more

Total SCAM ARTISTs. They made the ISSUE WORSE. Every WORD out of the owner is a lie. They took advantage of my wife's lack of construction knowledge and saw an easy target for some quick cash. Didn't do the job they were asked to do and set up a scenario so they could come back and fleece us some more. There are way better options out there. Never use these. read more

These guys are great if you are in a jam. They answer the phone, they provide great consultation, and they find a way to make it out even if they have a packed schedule. read more

I found the BEST plumbing company! I'm a picky consumer and research everything before committing to anything. David, the tech I was assigned was highly professional and very thorough. He went above and beyond in his final walk-through, he literally saved our lives given how bad my property pipes were. As a consumer I can say their prices are affordable. They are definitely worth it. I'd give 10 stars if I could. read more

We called Green Tech Plumbing first because of a garbage disposal which was broken and needed to be replaced. They responded quickly and did a beautiful job. We called them again when we had problems with our kitchen stove. It is a commercial stove so we needed someone who knew about such. They came very quickly and knew exactly how to deal with the situation. We will call them again and can recommend Green Tech highly for their promptness, thoroughness, very kind way they respond, but mostly because they do a good job. read more

Contacted Green Tech because my garbage disposal was broken. Another local plumber couldn't come by for a few days, but Green Tech was was able to stop by later that same day. They were super nice, installed a nice new disposal, and we all lived happily ever after. read more

Green Tech came out right away for a quote to replace my Water Heater. It was 100 for the assessment, but I felt like the quote was really non-competitive and almost intentionally so. Green Tech came in at 5000, I've gotten 4 other quotes in the range of 2500-3200. Hector was really friendly and prompt but my opinion is the business model is take advantage of the urgency or collect the consult fee. read more

Green Tech saved me in an emergency with a badly leaking pipe. They were able to come quickly and bang out the work so we didn't have to go the whole night with the water main turned off. They were prompt and professional. Will call again for sure. read more

Way too expensive. Would not recommend them. They price gouge. Charged us over the top for a hot water heater repair. It was same day service however the price they charged was similar to a brand new equipment purchase. read more

Had an awesome experience with Green Tech. I recently bought a home in which the plumbing was the original, and the tap lines were corroded. This caused the taps to block and not turn on and we were without water to one of our sinks. I called up Green Tech and they had Dave come by the next day, he arrived on time and wore a mask the entire time, and resolved the problem in a couple hours while installing two new taps with upgraded flexible lines. The job looked great and he was sure to show me more than once the work that he was doing, to make sure I was satisfied with the result. I'm really pleased with the results and the speed, especially so close to a holiday. I will definitely use Green Tech again if I have any further issues. Highly recommend. read more

For weeks after the initial tech came out to assess the job (costing $160), they were never able to respond to my requests for a quote in writing, or follow up that they would or wouldn't be able to do the job. Felt basically like a scam. read more

Great experience working with David at Green Tech for plumbing repairs at the home I recently purchased. David was timely with his responses as we communicated leading up to his onsite visit. On the day of the onsite visit, David took the time to explain what he was doing and why he was doing it. I really appreciated his transparency throughout the process. The repairs came in on budget and I'm pleased with the quality of the work. I'll definitely use Green Tech again in the future when I have plumbing work that needs to be done at my house read more
