I can't say enough about the team at Accutemp. If you're looking for an HVAC company - I'd suggest…read moreyou give them a call asap. Damon came out to do an estimate for us on a new gas boiler, and in the process of evaluating, cleaned out the old boiler's ignition in hopes of preventing our boiler from shutting off on cold nights at NO CHARGE. (As a side note, another company who we hired to service our boiler previously this year - refused to touch it for fears they would break it, while still billing us for the cleaning!) The proposal from Accutemp came in below some other proposals we received. The installation team was extremely knowledgeable, punctual, hardworking and respectful. Performing the work were Troy, Z and Mike. Unlike our prior experience with expert salesmen who disappeared upon selling the work to be replaced with what seemed like novice technicians, Damon was very involved in the whole process. He came by multiple times during the job and even sent the guys to do some follow up testing on the unit. The guys were extremely thorough, and our basement, which was a mess when they got there, was spotless after. I just wish we knew of Accutemp when we were installing our mini-splits! This is our go to HVAC company from here on out. Thank you Accutemp!

Accutemp is, at best, a mixed bag. I had two heat pumps and a hot water heater installed in 2022…read moreand 2023. Since then, there have been endless problems, including a collapsed roof in the basement and waking up to smoke and nearly a fire in the attic. Some of what Accutemp has done has been good, including ductwork and providing new equipment when the other new equipment failed. But Accutemp overpromised and underdelivered on its initial proposals. When you meet with the salesman for major project, you are vulnerable. You are forced to believe or disbelieve them based on their representations and not much else. When I replay in my head the two sales discussions I had with the Accutemp salesman, I now believe he sold me a lot of falsehoods that, if I could go back and redo it with perfect knowledge, would have led me to choose another company to do the work.

I was having problems with my boiler where it was making unusual gurgling noises. James's expertise and attention to detail was clear when he was able to identify the underlying issues with the system. He was great at explaining the issues and what needed to be fixed to me. I appreciated that he took the time to answer all my questions. The system had degraded over time due to acidic antifreeze that was installed by the previous owners resulting in leaks in various valves. There was pretty extensive and systemic damage but James was able to overhaul the entire boiler in half a day. Now the system is running as good as new. James and Total Comfort Mechanical have my confidence and I highly recommend them for any of your HVAC needs.

Dan came out when I called, diagnosed the problem and told me he'd fix it the next day because all the supply stores were closed and he needed a specific part. Dan called me the next morning and said that he went to all of the local supply stores and none had what he needed and we may have to wait until Monday. A couple hours later I got a text saying he sent his wife to Brockton to pick up the part and he'd be back later in the afternoon to fix the problem because he knew we had young kids and didn't want to leave us without heat in the crazy cold. His price was also very fair - especially considering the call was after hours, on the weekend and on no notice. Thank you so much DRB! You certainly have a new customer!

My HVAC on the second floor was running but no cold air outputs. It was a Friday afternoon and eve of July 4th. We have been having extremely hot and humid weather, over 90 degrees temps that week and it was baking up my second floor in no time, I called around to get a Technician who would come to look at the issues but to no avail until after July 6th onwards. My hope sank, but thank God one positive person responded, Rudy from CK Services took the job, diagnosed it and replaced the bad/old capacitor. Luckily, he got a brand new in box in his truck and that saved my second floor to cool down again! To me pricing wise is reasonable because it was an emergency situation and to wait until over the weekend my second floor would have completely been baked alive and soaked in humidity! Thank you very much Rudy, you're a savior and I truly appreciated your help. I'm thankful, grateful and blessed that now I know whom I will call for AC services. I definitely recommend your expertise to my friends. Happy 4th to you and family.

I was given an appointment that was accommodating to my schedule and I received a text to confirm the date and arrival time. During my service appointment, Rudy completed an evaluation and provided me with feedback of things that another company did not complete correctly during the initial installation of the furnace. This was followed up with an estimate of repair work that needed to be completed via email and text message. I decided to go with the recommendations as explained. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner by Rudy including updates along the way. It has been a week since the job was completed and although I don't know much about furnaces, I can say that my furnace has smoother sounds through the ventilation system. Sounds to me that the improvements made the system not work as hard as before.

BEWARE of Albortz: **Sabotaged my HVAC to Create Repeat Business**…read more If you're in the market for HVAC services, I strongly urge you to steer clear here. Over the course of a couple of years, I've encountered multiple incidents that seem to point to deliberate sabotage of my heating and cooling system. I also have PROOF in my pictures. I'm somewhat handy, and if I was not, I would have been taken advantage of even more. Here's my story: **Incident 1:** It all started when my AC unit broke down during a heatwave. I had a newborn at home, so I needed help fast. Despite being on the pricier side ($500 for the visit), they were the only ones available quickly. The technician "fixed" the issue and tried hard to sell me a brand-new unit--despite the fact that my current one was still functioning. I brushed it off as a sales tactic. However, when the weather turned cold, I realized my **heat wasn't working**. I'm a bit handy, so I took a panel off to inspect the unit, and what do I find? The **gas line had been turned off at the panel**! It's important to note that the heater worked just fine before this service, so the only possible culprit was the technician. Had I not caught this myself, I would have likely been convinced that the entire system needed replacing--costing me even more money. **Incident 2:** Later, I did end up getting a new HVAC system (from a different company). However, my diverters (which control airflow) stopped working, blowing a fuse. Once again, no one else was available, so I had to call Alborz again. I was skeptical after last time, but thought maybe it was possibly an accident... This time, I was on high alert and watched him closely. He fiddled around and had me go check the thermostat downstairs while he "worked on the unit." Reluctantly, I complied. Sure enough, when summer arrived, **the AC stopped working again**. **Proof of Sabotage:** After some investigation, I discovered the technician **deliberately disconnected a wire** in my unit, which is why the AC wasn't working. I have photographic proof showing the disconnected wire and the work area, demonstrating this malicious action. --- **Final Warning:** It's clear to me this company has a pattern of **sabotaging equipment to generate more business**. These aren't simple mistakes; they're calculated actions designed to mislead homeowners into believing their systems need more work or replacement than is necessary. If you're considering hiring them, think twice--you may end up paying more than you bargained for, both in money and frustration.
