I asked Chris who was at the paint counter and he came over and helped me load it in. JohnRhec helped me scan in my gift card and I had several. One nice older employee walked with me to help me insulate my doors and windows Instead of him saying its over there or its over by the lumber etc.. He walked with me and gave me step by step instructions to insulate. He helped me purchase a decent tool box as mine needed a replacement. My only gripe is checking out. I despise self checkouts... Im not a cashier. I guess Lowe's to too thrifty to hire cashiers. ... No cashier and only 2 self checkout registers were working. The other self checkouts were out of order. The plant and garden department had some nice plants but too expensive, and some needed to be thrown away.

Maybe they do better for contractors or large…read morescale jobs, but we were looking to source bricks from a local business for our private backyard project and the gentleman we worked with was not friendly and seemed not to want our business, and worse he couldn't calculate basic square footage. Our back patio only needed about 100 sq ft of brick, so maybe 400 bricks, and after telling us he doesn't like to give estimates, he told us that with the dimensions we gave him, it was over 1,100 sq ft and we would need over 5,000 bricks. He was either trying to screw us or was just incompetent at reading basic measurements. But he also gave us a hard time about 1) Not calling in first (because we went in to actually see the bricks and to speak with someone in person about it, which seems like a normal practice in my opinion) 2) About sending him pictures of our existing brick on a weekend (which he could have just replied with a "Thank you, I will take a look on Monday" and that would've sufficed, but he instead took the time to quickly reply "I don't work on weekends." and that's it), and 3) For questioning his calculations (to which he said "This is why I don't like to give out estimates."). Just not friendly or professional and we took our business elsewhere (to Home Depot unfortunately) like he probably wanted us to.

It does not help that we just lost our contractor who had started helping us due to health issues. The Tile Shop is filled with wonderful tiles! Wow! Jasmine was our sales person today. She met us with a smile and was just perfect. She was patient with our indecisiveness! And she made lots of good suggestions, going and getting different options so that I didn't need to walk around the store (I have a disability). In the end, we went with one of her suggestions and I feel good about it. I'd give Jasmine a 11 out of 10!
