Honestly, this level of work would not have been affordable for me anywhere else. My teeth have been breaking for about the past 18 years, so unfortunately I've had dental work done at almost every dentist in Burleson and Crowley: Burleson Modern Dentistry, Burleson Smiles, Renfro Family Dental, Monarch Dental, Good Faith Dentistry (which was my favorite for a couple of years), Family Smiles of Burleson, Alsbury Dental, and two in Crowley that are no longer around whose names I can't remember. Out of all of them, none have come close to matching Affordable Dentist on price. That said, Burleson Smiles, Good Faith, and Affordable Dentist all had the best staff--but Affordable still comes out on top overall. This time I was treated by Dr. Maia with assistant Laura, and both were outstanding. Cassidy at the front desk also deserves special recognition. She clearly handles much more than typical receptionist duties and consistently goes above and beyond for patients. There are only two drawbacks worth mentioning: Phone service. No matter what number I call, I never seem to reach the Crowley office directly. It usually routes to an answering service that sends my call to the wrong location. The building. The facility itself isn't in the best shape. The dental equipment appears modern and well-maintained--possibly even state-of-the-art--but the building's appearance might give some people pause. Personally, it's not something I worry about. When you take cost, staff, and equipment into account--and did I mention cost?--Affordable Dentist is my clear choice. And for context, I do not have dental insurance. Everything I've had done there has been paid out of pocket.

Please keep in mind…read morepeople don't tend to leave good reviews because being an asshole is more fun, let's be honest... but give these guys a chance and see for yourself. Had a wisdom tooth and adjacent impacted/broken molar removed and abscess treated. Whole procedure took about 30 minutes following my antibiotic treatment, they worked with me regarding finances and found a plan that even a guy like me can may payments on easily. I was nervous going in and it didn't help HOW impacted the tooth was but they talked me through it and let me know what was going on etc which eased my fears. Some of the kindest staff imaginable, really made the whole stressful experience MUCH more tolerable. The difference following treatment is night and day. I still have other teeth that need tending too (and I will be returning for them, trust me), but for the first time in years the pressure is gone and the throbbing and pain has stopped. The throbbing got worse when I laid down so even going to sleep didn't provide relief and I had to sleep sitting up in a chair some nights. They made sure I was on antibiotics before and after to handle infection and the level of pain relief meds was more than adequate for the pain following the procedure, of which there was little to none. Not biting a jagged tooth into my tongue/cheek every other sentence is, shockingly, taking some time to get used too again... but I think I'll manage just fine.

They are super nice, supportive and would probably revert to bribery if they had to to get me to stay still in the chair. Seriously though, Dr Smith and staff are a great up-and-coming dental office. Brand new facilities - I can appreciate this after going to another "long time" practice in Burleson that the equipment and facilities looked a bit tired. Sadly in my mind, that makes me think of how many years the place has been there, how many people have gone through, etc. Also, (IMHO) one of the most technologically advanced dental offices I have ever been in. They have all of the newest gadgets - even an in-the-mouth digital camera. That way they can send a picture to your insurance company so they can see what they really want to fill that tooth! Seems to me that would make insurance denials rare if ever with that kind of evidence. So, after you finish up eating that turkey for Thanksgiving, and the sweet potatoes are all gone and you're only left with pecan and pumpkin pie between your teeth, go se Dr Smith. They'll get you all cleaned and smiling bright again before you have to start taking those Christmas pictures!

First off, I was very dissatisfied of my moms dentures, even though I know it was partially my fault they were not made right now. She had just finished chemo and was not in her complete right mind still, so I do not think she followed the directions during the fitting as well as she could have. The review is on the Doctor himself, he went above and beyond the call of duty, he has great customer service and bedside skills. He did not stop till I and my mom were satisfied. If you want someone that cares then go see him, it was worth our 40 minute drive to visit this place. I will absolutely use him again.
