He stated that he was interested, and would come to my home and pick it up at 8:30 am, but the guy never showed or gave me the courtesy of calling me. His behavior was very disrespectful, inconsiderate, and just plain unprofessional. I was planning to purchase another treadmill along with other exercise equipment from this company, but have changed my mind because of the way they treat people. if the guy changed huis mind about picking it up, why not just call and state that? I called to speak with the manager Barret. Adam answered the phone and whispered that I wantd to talk to him, then sent my call straight to voice mail, and never called me back. Their lack of consideration and respect for customers, and the fact that Barrett didnt even bother to call back, is a horrible reflection of this company. I arrived 5 mins before close though and was told very clearly by an elder woman to come back tomorrow... so I did! When I walked in the door the following day, the girls giggled at me for being accosted the night prior and apparently they had heard about it from other staff. We all started laughing and joking about it and it was a great way for me to feel welcomed. It felt like I was shopping with friends and that made it a very comfortable situation for me. They pointed me to their selection of boots, which is huge and I began searching. I was looking for steel toe cowboy boots, which they had but nothing grabbed my attention. BUT they do have a huge selection of boots there. I turned to my right and saw a large selection of clothing, specifically I saw jeans and wanted to take a glance. I'm a tall man (6'5") and am almost always let down at a jean selection because of my size (33x36). To much of my surprise, they had a HUGE selection of pants, which had inseams up to 40"!! That's insane! So naturally I started putting pants into my shopping selection then I saw they had an entire selection for big and tall. I love it because it's beautiful, I hate it because I had nothing to do.. Until I discovered cross county skiing. This year, however, everyone else decided /they/ wanted to discover skiing too. So when I called around to local ski shops, I was rushed off the phone because of low stock. Pioneer Midwest said they did have some beginner skis in stock, so I decided to make the trek out to Osseo.. Am I ever glad I did! Small store and parking lot, but don't let this fool you. The unassuming exterior is not an indicator of the wealth of knowledge and kindness on the inside. When I entered, the sales people were assisting a few other folks.. But it didn't take long for at least two staff members to make eye contact and offer me some help. Within about 5 minutes, employee Ian was helping me pick skis. He was very professional and kind and listened to me as I rambled about being a beginner and paying for rental equipment.. Something I really admired about Pioneer Midwest is this "sizing/fit" platform, where he had me stand on the ski and made sure it was a good fit for me. The Salomon Snowscape 7 Vitane (S) was the beginner ski choice for me! Boot sizing (Salomon Vitane Prolink) was a little tricky, but he was grabbing sizes as I continued to need them. He was the perfect amount of patient but also confident in the things he was offering me - he didn't confuse me with questions about bindings, they got me set up with just a good basic NNN binding (Salomon Prolink Auto). Picking ski poles was nice, as he did give me an option between a more basic (and cheaper) pole, and one he recommended (Swix Quantum 6). I went with the recommendation. Even though ski equipment pricing can shadow what I paid in total with the more professional equipment, Ian and the rest of the staff made me feel like I was still spending my hard earned money on a meaningful purchase. What I didn't know was that at my time of purchase (1/28/21), if you purchase boots/bindings/skis/poles, you get 10% off! That was a nice surprise. I had to get myself a nice Pioneer Midwest drink pouch too.. I should want to rep a great store!

I was looking them up today to inquire about a specialty item and saw they have one really bad review. So here is a description of my experience with them, which has always been positive. The young man fixed it quickly, without charge. I disagree that they will only take care of you if you're a regular. I was approached as soon as I entered the shop and I had never seen this employee before. We bought two electric bikes from them last year, along with a saris rack. I did a lot of research before buying and visited several shops. They were by far the most informative and least pressuring. Encouraged us to take several test rides. He toured the shop with us, answering our questions about bike maintenance. The other gentleman helped one of our group to find a new helmet-he was awesome when he said that your brain doesn't care what kind of helmet it is being protected by (only that it fit & you wear it). They did do an installation of a new stem immediately on one of the bikes that one of our group rode in on. Gateway Cycle offers a free demonstration class every Saturday morning 9:30-10:30. They will show you how to change a flat, proper lube practices & minor adjustments. Questions regarding maintaining your bike are welcome but it is a not a repair-your-bike-in-the-shop class. I liked the e-bike selection that they offered (especially when they do a maintenance check on the purchased bike annually).

Curt's Small Engine Repair is awesome -- A+…read more I really can't say enough good things about Curt. He did a great job on my equipment, he's prompt, his prices are reasonable, and he's a very nice guy. I gave Curt 3 things to fix. My MOWER (which was an urgent repair) had a blown head gasket. Curt let me know quickly and he didn't B.S. me about the whole thing. It wasn't worth fixing so I just bought a new one at Home Depot. He fixed the carb on my SNOW BLOWER (actually, he installed a new one) and he did other maintenance. So I'm all set. Bring on the snow! Curt did a bunch of maintenance on my GARDEN TILLER, including finding a transmission seal that's no longer made by the manufacturer. (He found it on Ebay.) This one was tricky because it's a vintage heavy duty tiller with a modern Honda motor. Last -- but not least -- he cleaned up everything for me. And when he dropped off my stuff, he did me a favor and brought his air compressor and filled the tires on my three 2-wheel dollies and on my bicycle. I read that review and realized that it wasn't that Curt did a bad job, it was all about his political views and the fact they didn't align with hers. Seriously. What an eye roller! We called Curt on a Saturday, he answered and said he was free immediately for blade sharpening! He's about 5 minutes up the road. He did a fantastic job. We asked about the one review and he chuckled and said "I just don't like fixing 2-stroke engines, you can buy a new one for $200, so there's no way you can make money off fixing a leaf blower." To me that speaks of Curt's character in realizing the value of not only the different machines, but the value of his time, and his customer's time. We were able to finish a project in a day thanks to Curt. He was very nice and did a fantastic job! Totally recommend him.
