I really enjoyed working with Erica on a wardrobe refresh (closet edit, shopping list, try on, styling). My wardrobe was a collection spanning over a decade - with kids, relocations, and job changes in between. I wanted an outside perspective to help me reset my wardrobe - clear out all the things that were not working, so that I could update and elevate my wardrobe to better fit my personal and professional lifestyle. I decided to work with Erica as a 41st birthday present to myself. I have a 2 year old and hadn't gone shopping basically since lockdown. And even before that, clothes were mystifying to me. I wanted to be cool and fashionable. I wanted my outside to reflect who I was personally and professionally - I'm a screenwriter whose sweet spot is smart romantic comedies. Erica is an amazing stylist and person all around! She helped me do a full closet overhaul and made it easy and fun to get dressed again! Erica brought my wardrobe back to life, and I have never felt more confident when putting together outfits. I know that everything I have fits well, is my style, and gets worn regularly. I felt like I could never get my personal style right. I went through a lot of changes in my life and my previous style didn't feel right anymore. I was at a loss of what my style was, what I should wear or buy and defaulted to "dowdy." After picking out the clothes I wanted to try, we did virtual try-on sessions while she advised me more about my style, how to wear the clothes and the correct sizes. In addition to having a "dowdy" style, I had been wearing the wrong sizes for a long time. I am uncomfortable about my pouchy tummy and had been wearing over-size clothes to hide it for years. Erica encouraged me to stop being embarrassed about my pouch tummy and made me feel better about my figure for the first time in a long time. Now when I look at my closet, there are a lot fewer clothes, but everything goes together well, and I love everything in my closet. Every day, I'm excited about putting together my outfits and I do it quickly. I feel confident in how I look because now I know my style, love my clothes and know they are right for me. I feel like I'm not alone in the styling area of my life anymore. I have a knowledgeable, supportive coach. A true godsend! My mother-in-law recommended that Erica come over to help me organize my closet. I've always had a hard time parting with clothes or keeping my closet organized and feeling like I had a complete closet. I also am more curvy and have yo-yoed in size my whole life, never really feeling like I knew what shapes, colors, and styles were truly right for my body. Now I feel 100% complete and happy with the closet Erica helped me craft. Erica and I had 10-12 sessions where we went through what I had, made sure my clothes were in the right places i.e. all clothes warn outside the house are hung up and all inside clothes go in your dresser drawer. We then went through what I loved *not like, and what I could part with. When I reached out to Erica I was at my wits end. My 13 year old girls had maybe 8 dresses in their closet--all made by a seamstress we hired to replicate dresses they liked wearing in grade school! I can't say enough great things about Erica. I echo what many of the other reviews have said--she is kind, patient, focusses on bringing out the best in you...it really feels like a miracle that I found her on YouTube rather than a personal recommendation! When I started with Erica I had at least one day a month (sometimes more) where I would almost cry trying to put a last minute outfit together before an event. I didn't have the right shoes, or jacket or bag.... it was so frustrating! Working with her has solved this and so much more! Now I know HOW to shop. I created a style binder by printing out many of her worksheets and also outfits I like on Pinterest (which she suggested) so now if I get stuck, I can go back and look at what outfits I like and try to recreate them.
