I work behind-the-scenes in fashion, so people probably wouldn't think I needed help in that arena, but as I'm nearing a milestone age, I found myself feeling so lost in my personal style and not at all like I was putting my best foot forward. It's so easy to default to "jeans and a tee shirt" in LA, but I just knew I could present myself better. I finally decided it was time to work with a stylist, and I'm SO glad I found Jillian! She helped me identify the colors and silhouettes that complement my body type and coloring, and gently explained which pieces weren't doing me favors and why. We uncovered so many great items already in my closet that I didn't have the confidence to wear or didn't know how to style cohesively, and she transformed them into some truly killer outfits. We also set aside pieces that needed tailoring, and she provided a thoughtful list of items to purchase to round out my wardrobe (I was definitely due for a refresh). I was able to painlessly let go of a ton of outdated pieces, and I honestly can't believe everything fits in my closet now! Within a week, I was already getting compliments from my fashion coworkers, which feels like the highest praise. I feel like a more professional, confident, elevated yet authentic version of myself. Jillian is incredibly sweet, fun, and intuitive; the FIVE HOURS we spent together absolutely flew by. I'm already looking forward to a refresh with her when the seasons change! read more

Reaching out to a stylist was a big step for me. I never really thought of myself as someone who could work with a stylist. I didn't feel fancy enough, or like I had the kind of life that justified it. But I had hit a point where I knew my style didn't reflect the confident person I was becoming, and I wasn't dressing in a way that felt like me anymore. From the very first phone call with Jillian, I felt completely at ease. She just got it. She met me where I was, reassured me that feeling unsure was totally normal, and made it clear this was something she genuinely enjoys and is amazing at. I went into the closet edit expecting a total overhaul, maybe even having to get rid of half my clothes. But instead, Jillian helped me see new possibilities in what I already had. She showed me how to put things together in a way that actually felt like me and made sense for my everyday life. It wasn't about trends or starting from scratch. It was about helping me feel more like myself when I get dressed. Because that experience was so positive, I decided to work with her again for two really special events: my engagement party and courthouse wedding. Once again, she completely blew me away. She brought a thoughtful and beautiful selection of pieces in a range of sizes, and laid everything out in a way that made trying things on actually fun. I felt like royalty. I kept looking at myself in the mirror saying, "Who is she?" and "I don't know her, but I like her!" Jillian helped me feel more confident and connected to how I want to show up in the world. Everything she found was actually affordable and practical for my lifestyle. I'm so grateful I found her and I absolutely plan to work with her again. read more

As someone who recently lost 40 pounds, I needed EVERYTHING! Jillian first reviewed the little I had in my closet and agreed to meet in very short order. Upon arrival, I was greeted by an enormous rack of clothes in a couple of sizes ... all purchased to mix and match. It was great. Jillian stayed under budget and I walked out with 18 new items:). Plus a list of links for sizes and colors still needed. It was the easiest shopping experience I ever had. The best part is she agreed to help me pack for a long trip - yippee!! read more

I decided to seek out a stylist because I didn't know how to dress my new, figure after gaining weight and going grey. My experience with Jillian was great. During the closet edit we must have created 20-30 new outfit combinations, plus I learned why many of my outfits weren't working, and it boiled down to the length of my pants in relation to my shoes and my lack of woven shirts. Once Jillian shopped for me and beefed up my wardrobe with a bunch of amazing pieces, getting ready in the morning has been a breeze and I don't struggle anymore with nothing to wear. I would highly recommend her. read more

Where do I even start!? After emailing about a few items I was in search of, Jillian and I planned to meet up for some good 'ol bargain hunting at Nordstrom Rack. I told her I was looking for (1) a sturdy pair of smoking loafers, similar to the Everlane ones, (2) a leather (or faux leather) moto jacket, and (3) a dress for a wedding I'm going to in November. I think Jillian is a literal wizard because I ended up ordering 2 pairs of loafers that are identical to what I was looking for before we even met up. 2 pairs for $49 each = 2 pairs for less than 1 pair of Everlane's! Anyway, the day finally came to meet up with Jillian at Nordstrom Rack at the Beverly Connection and she came prepared with a plan and SNACKS! So smart, we all know that shopping can get tiring. We set out for the leather jackets first, and Jillian encouraged me to try on all kinds of styles and sizes. We both loved a "vegan" leather moto by BNCI that was on sale for $59. I had budgeted $200 for the jacket, so this was a major score. Next, we went to look at shoes... because why not!? I ended up finding a perfect pair of tan dolce vita (my favorite shoe brand!) booties on sale for $70. Not bad at all. Now here's where the magic really happened. While looking for dresses for a friend's wedding I'm attending in November (it's cocktail attire), Jillian and I both scoured the racks. She pulled a ton of dresses, one in particular that I was unsure about. It had metallic details, a shoulder ruffle thing, and was a print, while I normally go for solids. I wasn't sold, but said I would definitely try it on. We probably pulled around 10 dresses in total, and the metallic/printed number was by far my favorite. It is so flattering, so feminine, so fun, and 100% something I would never choose for myself! I felt so grateful to have Jillian there to encourage me to go outside my usual look, explain how the dress worked for my figure, and she also give some tips on tailoring to make it look even better. I wanted to spend $120 maxon a dress, and this one was $160. I went back and forth, but decided since I had saved on the jacket, I would just go for it. Lo and behold, at the register, the dress was only $74!!! The original sale price was $350! We were both ecstatic. In addition to the event dress, I also ended up getting a Madewell striped long sleeved shift dress from the clearance rack ($30 down from $110). Jillian gave me some styling tips for fall/winter since I live on the east coast and it won't be warm much longer. It's a great everyday piece. All in all, I spent $256 at our in-store trip, and another $100 online. 6 awesome pieces for the original price of that amazing dress. I can't wait to start wearing all of my stuff and look forward to enlisting Jillian's help again when I need a wardrobe refresh in the spring. I can't recommend her services enough -- she has a keen eye for style and details, and really listens to what her clients are looking for. read more

Thanks to Jillian I now have a closet full of awesome outfits to wear that fit my personal style and I feel better about myself and my body than I have in a really long time. I contacted Jillian -- somewhat in a panic -- because I was headed back to the office after two years of working from home, had very few items of clothing that fit me and/or made me feel good about myself since having kids, and literally had zero time to shop. Jillian first helped me to edit my closet, and I really appreciated how honest she was about items that didn't fit/weren't flattering/needed to be replaced. Then, we discussed some items that I needed to round out my wardrobe and I gave her a budget. She nailed my style and provided me with a ton of options to choose from and I ended up with a ton of great stuff for what I consider to be a very reasonable price. For me, the experience is about so much more than just getting new clothes. Working with Jillian has taken the stress out of getting ready in the morning; she has taught me a lot about what works for my body and easy ways to look more put together; and she really helped me feel confident and appreciate my body again. I found the experience incredibly valuable and I hope to work with her seasonally to refresh my wardrobe and continue to feel good about myself! Thank you, Jillian! read more

I absolutely loved working with Jillian. I'm definitely not one who ever splurges on clothes (or really, anything) but truly, this was worth it. Jillian really goes above and beyond for her clients - and I mean above and beyond. Even after our shopping/styling session ended, she's been sending me links to other items that she thinks I'll love, she sends me feedback on pics of clothes I've tried on and need an opinion on, and so much more. I felt so much more stylish and I really feel like working with Jillian and finding so many outfits that look great on me (and that I'd never have considered for myself) gave me a great self-confidence boost. I can't wait to go into the office again and wow them with my new fashions! Will definitely work with Jillian again in the future. Highly recommend! read more

Jillian is simply the best. I had worked with a stylist years ago, and the experience was so strange and so removed from reality that I was hesitant to do it again but was interested once I met Jillian and saw how down-to-earth she is and how she works with any budget and is so approachable and lovely. The variety of services she can help you with is amazing! Starting with the basics, like editing your closet (without judgement and without pressure, which is refreshing), and helping you put together new looks from your existing wardrobe ("shop in your own closet") which is fabulous and makes you feel like you have a ton of new things to wear, and she can also go shopping with you and/or do onling shopping for you. She gave me AMAZING pro-tips during our session together in my closet, and even pulled a few things that needed tailoring to make them more current and modern, which was great. I took notes during our session because she had so many gems and I didn't want to forget any of her great advice or ideas. Bottom line: whether you have a casual lifestyle like I do, or are a glam girl/guy, or anything in between, Jillian will rock your style world. She is amazing at finding affordable gems too which is a really incredible gift as her client. I already got a few emails from her with links to online sales for items that are missing from my existing wardrobe. She is basically like the modern fairy godmother who shows you how much you already have in your closet and helps you acquire what you're missing in a way that feels supportive and encouraging. I would highly recommend her services to anyone and everyone! I'm already looking forward to our next session! Thanks so much Jillian. read more

Jillian is awesome and working with her improved my life and saved me money. Before Jillian, this is how I shopped: "I have nothing to wear" I would think to myself, go to the store, find cute things, find great sales, get the cute stuff, get the good bargain, bring it all home, hang it up and be so happy, then go into my closet the next day and have nothing to wear. This would play out over and over and despite my best intentions, the cycle would continue where I would spend money and have nothing to wear. With Jillian, we went through my closet, got rid off ill fitting things, things no longer in style, etc. Then she made the magical list, listing all the things I needed for my current lifestyle and things that would work with my current clothes and make them wearable (shoes, accessories, complementing top/bottom). She is super professional and organized and made a spreadsheet I was able to adjust based on my budget. She then went shopping, while I went on with my life, doing things I needed to do. The following week we met up and she had all the clothing and shoes laid out for me to try on. There were multiple options and fits and a few fun things she threw in that I would never pick up on my own, but that I loved. I tried on everything and we picked out things that worked. Because this is what Jill does professionally, she was able to get such great deals, that the money I spent on her services in addition to the clothing, ended up being a lot less than what I would have spent if left to my own devices and bad shopping habits. So in conclusion, not only is it fun to go through your closet with someone who knows a lot more than you do about style, but it is also a smart financial decision, because there isn't any impulse buying. Jillian sticks to the list and most importantly, I now have things to wear when I open my closet. I didn't realize that I was missing shoes and tops that would make the rest of my clothes wearable and she saw it right away. I promise, you will not regret giving Jillian a call or filling out her contact form. read more

I was stuck in a serious fashion rut - tons of clothes in my closet, nothing to wear, blah, blah, blah. Jillian came over with her rolling wardrobe racks, we put all my "maybes" on the racks and went through every item. She showed me how to put together pieces I already have to make stylish outfits. Turns out I have a ton of great clothes and was missing just a few styling concepts to pull things together. She advised me what to take to the tailor for an update, wrote up a short list of the few staples I was missing and voila! The perfect wardrobe - every item fits and I feel wonderful. Oh, then she re-organized my entire closet before she left. Working with Jillian was super fun, saved me a bunch of money and I've never looked better. read more

Jillian is amazing. We started with a phone call, and I loved her down to earth manner and her passion for what she does. Then I took an extensive questionnaire that made me feel like all of my needs/desires would be addressed. She came over to do a closet edit, and was so great at helping me get rid of excess and focus on what it is that I want. Jillian is a great balance of getting you exactly what you want, and then giving you some things you might not have known you wanted. I felt so heard. And when I came to her house to try on the items she picked for me, I was like a kid in a candy shop. Almost everything fit me perfectly, and she really hit my style on the nose. I was blown away by how many options she found for me and how exactly it fit my style. She also was a rockstar at finding incredible deals and sales and I felt really good about the price of every single item. In fact, I am pretty sure almost every item she found was on sale. I even have a new pair of favorite jeans for only $10!!!! Jillian removed all the exhaustion of driving around and shopping, and brought a personalized closet to me. It was a dream come true. I also appreciated her sensibility, and she never made me feel pressured to buy anything if I wasn't totally in love with it. Totally worth every penny. Now I look at my closet and get excited at what I get to wear. And I feel really good in my clothes. Jillian helped me find more of myself, and gave me a great boost of confidence. read more

I had an amazing closet shopping session with Jillian! After donating what I never wore/didn't like I was kinda worried about what I was left with. But luckily Jillian gave me so many cute ways to pair my existing wardrobe that I feel like I just went shopping! She took the style I wanted and types of outfits I needed and found me so many looks that I can now re-create. As a new mom, I was stuck in a rut of wearing the same ole thing everyday, but now I feel STYLISH again. Highly recommend and it ends up saving you money because you re-purpose what you already have but didn't know could be so cute! read more

Jillian is fantastic (and patient and positive and has a great eye)! I was about to start a new job that required a lot of travel. So I was looking for her to help punch up my wardrobe with some new pieces and help me create some "capsule collections" so that I could easily pack for a week. She did that and more! She not only added some crucial pieces (that I wear all the time) but she also created some great outfits from the clothes I already had (and wasn't wearing that often). It's been six months since she helped me and I am able to get much more out of my wardrobe, have a bit more style and feel great about what I am wearing all because of Jillian. read more

Jillian was such a pleasure to work with! I live overseas and was only going to be in LA for a short while. We had a tight time frame between my travels and hers, and she managed to do pick a ton of stuff that I loved, and items I would not have picked up if I went to a shop. If you're not a shopper like me, if you're tight on time, or if you just need an experienced stylist for a closet overhaul, I highly recommend Jillian. Her fashion-forward, cost-conscious and easy going approach is really worth the investment! read more

I feel so lucky I came upon Jillian on Yelp when I was looking for a stylist! I definitely walked away with what I came for- a greater appreciation and ability to style what I have as well as a fresh new versatile wardrobe I'm excited about. I also got some things I was not expecting: I really have a better understanding of what's great about my body and how to highlight that. I increased my confidence to take more style risks. Worth mentioning: I had a great time with Jillian, she fun and funny! Also, Jillian was very organized, worked quickly and within my timeline, and was always responsive to requests/ messages. Yes please, I will be coming back for more! read more

Jillian is AWESOME! Not only did she do a stellar job when helping me organize my closet, but she also pulled looks for me that I would not have known to combine myself. She knew exactly what would work for me just be assessing my both home styling and fashion sense. I really like her vibe, ideas and craft. I certainly recommend her! read more

Jillian was so incredibly helpful. I tend to hoard things, bordering on "I have a problem" level. Jillian helped me with letting things go. She taught me how to value pieces, let go of things I do not need, and that do not fit. She helped me with the fit of garments and constructing outfits from existing pieces in my closet. MY CLOSET FEELS BRAND NEW! I got rid of 3 full bags with her help. I also learned to dress more for my body (huge boobs) and how to pair existing items with a new jacket or pairing interesting things together. We worked together for over 3 hours and the time breezed by. Cannot recommend enough. read more

I loved my session with Jillian. She is a fun, talented, professional stylist who really knows her stuff! :) First, she brings ginger chews and organic lollipops to sessions. Yaassssss. Second, she's handled a WIDE RANGE OF STYLES and knows what you're going for even if it's very different from her own style. I've seen this on my co-workers. I thought at first I should pick a stylist that has a similar style as me but I've realized a skilled stylist is knowledgeable in many areas. Third, my body is like a 12 year old boy so most clothes fit me pretty easily. I didn't think I really needed a stylist but then I started thinking of a FRICTIONLESS MORNING ROUTINE and thought of pain points I've had for years that she could help me through. It TAKES ME A LONG TIME TO THINK OF AN OUTFIT and not because it has to look good, it's more like I didn't do enough laundry and could I get away with this? -- PROBLEMS: 1) I wanted to spend 0 time thinking of what to wear to work in the mornings 2) My clothes are either formal and uncomfortable -or- super casual and comfortable - neither ideal for work 3) I wear black, grey, and blue every day of my life - actually I love this -- SOLUTIONS: 1) For spending 0 time in the morning -- Jillian suggested a FORMULA and had a 3-RULE TRICK. She started grabbing items from my closet that could be part of my CAPSULE COLLECTION (guys I have a Collection). This is EXACTLY what I needed, a way to think about putting an outfit together that doesn't take much thought but still looked put together. I've also been weary about wearing a full face of makeup to work and she suggested just a pop of color on the lip and I was like hmm why not? 2) For opposite clothes problem -- Jillian suggested I think about DRESSING DOWN A FORMAL OUTFIT rather than dressing up a casual one. She pulled my blazers and put together some outfits for me to try. I never would have paired blazers with slouchy-ish jeans or a dress (which I never wear) but it totally made sense after I saw it and I actually liked the outfits! I was impressed that she could BREAK ME OUT OF CATEGORIES and think more creatively. 3) Wearing dark emo colors -- It seemed counterintuitive at the time, but Jillian suggested getting certain pieces to break up the dark colors so that I could keep wearing dark colors but look like I have VARIETY. I asked for her advice on what pieces I needed and she told suggested a utility jacket, jean jacket, neutral colored pants, and sneakers to MIX UP my black-on-black-with boots look. -- RESULT: It was fun to hear what she thought my styles was i.e. "athleisure with an edge" -- somehow this really clicked for me and I started to buy thing that aligned with that. The first week after I bought platform sneakers, wore lipstick, and put on a few accessories. I felt really good and SURPRISINGLY FREE that I could wear what I wanted to wear without restricting myself or adapting it in a way that was appropriate for the workplace. I spent very little time in the morning getting ready and felt I could get out of my rut with my existing clothes. I even wore a dress out one night. To be honest, I didn't know if I really needed a stylist if I wasn't high up on the corporate ladder or a C-level actress on CW but Jillian was very empowering to me in the sense that she believed anyone can become confident in their own personal style (and have one). -- I plan on requesting Jillian again for her many services. She is so keen, attentive, and passionate about making you look and feel your best without any judgement. Highly recommended! read more

Highly Recommend! I contacted Jillian on a friend's recommendation while initially thinking about an outfit for a special night out in Europe. My friend said Jillian could help with the perfect balance of style and understated elegance ... which had me hooked, exactly what I was looking for. After meeting Jillian, though, I decided to work with her on my full closet -- not just one outfit. We tackled everything - casual, work, going out, you name it. BEST CHOICE and 110% worth the investment. We worked together for a week, and Jillian was thoughtful, thorough, approachable, professional and fun the whole time. She was very responsive -- we met by video chat for a quick consultation, then in my home for the closet review, then back again once she picked out items for me to try. In the end, Jillian found me 30 new pieces (from shoes, to accessories, to dresses and trousers to tops, etc.) that mix and match beautifully with each other and what I already own. She did a great job of listening and hearing my personal, comfortable style, and helping me extend into some new and fashionable looks. Amazing accomplishment for a week! Again - can't say enough good things about Jillian - warm, personable, and EXCELLENT at her job. I hope to work with her again, which says it all. read more

So I have this deep desire to be a Minimalist and freaked out one day because my closet is SO jam packed and I have too many things and so much of it I never wear! I hired Jillian for a Closet Edit and I can't even tell you how much happier I am these days. She helped me get rid of 30% of my stuff and helped me figure out how to wear so many pieces I never thought I'd wear again! It was amazing because I saved money considering I feel like I have new clothes AND got to thrive off my minimalist goal by not feeling like I need anything else!!! However, she did find me this one amazing coat that is SO ME and I wear it all the time so I will keep her around for when I do want to buy things!!! Totally recommend Jillian for all things style esp. Closet Edits!!!! read more

I can't say enough positive things about my closet edit with Jillian. Talk about time well spent. Sometimes it takes a professional to help you let go of things that no longer serve your lifestyle, embrace the things that do, and rediscover things of quality that may have been forgotten. Jillian was the perfect "professional" for the job. I had a lot of things that I was holding on to and she really helped me sift through my wardrobe with a fine tooth comb to help me determine what to finally let go of and what to keep. In some cases, it was simply a matter of figuring out which items could be repurposed, or altered at the tailor to better fit my evolving style, and body shape. And in many cases, it was just time to say goodbye to certain items altogether. Jillian has such great personal style and perspective that it was easy to trust her judgement and opinions. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking to streamline their wardrobe and discover (or rediscover) how to better "shop their closet". Overall, it's wardrobe maximization at it's best. Jillian also offers fantastic home styling services which I have utilized. read more

After having a baby a couple of years ago, I was in dire need of a style refresher course. Everything in my closet was feeling old and tired and so was I. I decided to worked with Jillian after our initial conversation because she clearly understand what my challenges were and because her warm, fun demeanor immediately put me at ease. We started with a full closet edit, which was very illuminating: I was wearing things that weren't terribly flattering, simply for the sake of convenience, while neglecting a lot of good pieces that just needed tailoring, mending or proper styling. Jillian quickly taught me how to dress for my shape and lifestyle, while staying current AND comfortable. After identifying many key missing pieces in my wardrobe, Jillian went shopping for me and presented me with a ton of fabulous options, all while staying within my budget. I now have a closet full of clothes I love and will actually wear. Jillian has completely transformed not just my wardrobe, but also, how I feel about getting dressed each day. read more

My experience with Jillian was totally life changing! I really needed help, not only organizing my closet, but also with shopping. Jillian came to my house and spent hours with me going through my closet, helping me pick and choose what should stay and go, and then how to wear the items I kept. It was amazing. Not only did she bring life to items that I could not figure out how to wear she also curated outfits for me based on work, going out, etc... The options she put together were spot on! I had recently moved across the country to start a new job and needed to update my wardrobe. I was looking for a more "professional" look while keeping my natural girly vibes. After taking a style survey, we Facetimed where I showed her my favorite, go-to pieces in my closet. She then provided me dress, statement necklace and blazer/cardigan options all within my budget on Polyvore which made it easy to purchase the items online. I loved the options she picked out, keeping in mind my style as well as some that pushed me outside of my comfort zone. Jillian is professional, responsive and super fun to work with. Jillian is AWESOME!! I highly encourage anyone looking for a stylist to stop your search right now. As a new mom with very different priorities and ideas of style and comfort, I went through the closet purge of a lifetime! I contacted Jillian through Yelp and knew right away I was going to like working with her. Jillian is super responsive, easy going and will work with any budget/schedule you have to adhere to. Jillian knows how to budget shop like I've never seen before and you will end up with a TON of options and your closet will be full after she leaves. She will work patiently with you and show you how to wear your clothes for you body and how to wear it multiple ways. She will go above and beyond and send you ideas and links to items you may like before your first fitting and for weeks after. She never stops working for you!!
