I rarely review anything unless I'm miserable or incredibly pleased with the product or service. I'm a socially awkward computer nerd so a color consult is way out of my comfort zone, to say the least. Rayne made the experience so much fun while being completely practical. The information I learned about how to proceed with literally dressing myself is a huge life-skill I now possess. She's also available to help me in improviding and updating my wardrobe which has always been a very daunting task for somebody like me. I can actually enjoy fashion, now Thank you Rayne! read more

I highly recommend Rayne; she did a wonderful job helping me find my best colors. I was surprised and delighted by the impact my color analysis had and continues to have on me. I hired Rayne for an all-day corporate color analysis session, which included traditional draping and education for many of my department/staff, as well as a series of on camera interviews with Rayne about her tips and tricks. She was an absolute delight, making each person feel welcome and very excited to learn their best colors and 12-season type. Rayne was extremely easy to coordinate with-- she was always very prompt and responsive, helping to make our day go smoothly. Doing color analysis with you has been one of the best investments I've ever made in myself. In just a few years, my world changed completely--becoming a mom, growing older, navigating COVID, and losing my husband. It left me in an identity crisis: Who am I now? Who was I before? Who do I want to become? Somehow, finding my colors became part of finding myself again. The confidence I've gained after working with Rayne has opened something inside me. I feel brighter, lighter, and more alive. It's also sparked a deep internal shift. Learning my season truly ushered in a new season of my life. Simplifying and narrowing my wardrobe has made everything--getting dressed, shopping, planning outfits--so much easier. I see new possibilities for myself, and with them, more joy. I can't wait to meet with her again in the next season of my life to welcome whatever's next. Until then, I'll keep sharing her name with everyone I love, because I truly can't recommend her enough. If you're thinking about doing it--take the leap. You are worthy. Discover the light within by brightening up from the outside. You'll see it, just like I did. read more

There is nothing like waking up and walking over to see that your closet feels like you. I am grateful that I found Rayne through Yelp and for this entire experience. Rayne is an incredible person, period. But on top of that, also an amazing stylist and fast friend. She is very professional and goes the extra mile to make sure that you are styled from head to toe and ready to go. I was transitioning my closet into something more age appropriate and mature. Rayne helped me figure out my style, vision, and helped me to edit my closet completely. I loved learning about my color palette and finding pieces that will stay in my closet for a very long time! I also loved being able to message Rayne about all the compliments I was getting on my outfits and style, and also to ask what she thought of other pieces to add to my closet. All in all, it's been so fun and I look forward to working with Rayne through the years! I feel confident and love all of my new outfits! Yay! read more

I hired Rayne during a time when I was grieving, and I wanted to do something outside the box -- something constructive and forward-moving. What began as a desire for a complete wardrobe overhaul turned into a genuinely transformative experience. Rayne's color analysis changed how I see myself in clothing. She understands how color, fit, and intention all work together. She also brought in another Duke to assist with my custom suits, and the collaboration was seamless and impressive. The suits fit perfectly, look incredible, and feel like they were made with real intention -- because they were. Watching them collaborate was truly something. More than anything, Rayne approached this process with care. She listened, paid attention, and she created a wardrobe that feels authentic, confident, and aligned with who I am now. I can't wait to get together again for this coming Spring/Summer season. I'm incredibly grateful for the experience and highly recommend Rayne to anyone looking for more than just a stylist. read more

We hired Rayne for a color party at our corporate event. She was great to work with, responsive, and clear about what was included in her fee. Highly recommend reaching out to Rayne for any of your color analysis and style needs in the LA area! read more

I can't say enough good things about Rayne! I was feeling really stuck...staring at a closet full of clothes after my body changing, and my confidence was at an all-time low, something I had never really struggled with before. Rayne created this incredibly safe space, so I felt comfortable in what could have been a super vulnerable moment. She brought such positivity, and she totally understood the style I was aiming for. I feel like myself again - only cooler and in the perfect color! I left with so much renewed confidence, and I can't thank Rayne enough. If you're considering this investment in yourself, do it! read more

In an effort to stay short and sweet, let me just say this: If you're thinking about working with Rayne, do it. If you can make it happen, it's absolutely worth all of the investment. My shopping and style session was not only extremely helpful, it was genuinely healing. As a person with a complicated relationship to clothes, I never quite knew how to match my inner confidence with my outer style. But Rayne and her keen style, kind approach, and genuine positivity was the key that unlocked that door. I'm so grateful! Also, it's no exaggeration to say I've gotten at least one compliment on my style or some clothing choice she picked out pretty much every day since my session. And with some of the clothes, multiple compliments daily. It's incredible what leveling up your wardrobe can do for your overall energy. I repeat: Work with Rayne. She's the best. read more

Rayne is the first stylist I recommend and refer my clients to because I know they'll be in good hands. She's taken it upon herself, without me asking, to study my recommendations to actors to successfully bring to fruition my vision by helping them bring in the right wardrobe. I've been hearing about color analysis, but I thought it was something that moms did in the 1980's. After seeing myself in a photo wearing my traditional black outfit and not liking how I looked, I realized I needed some help. Rayne is inspiring, stylish, supportive and really took the time to help me learn and understand what works and doesn't work. An absolute pleasure to work with! We recently had Rayne come share tips on bringing out our personality and best self for a group of very busy professionals that travel often. She quickly showed us how the expanded view of seasonal colors could enhance how we show up for ourselves and our clients. She also helped us break out of our 'black blazer and pants' travel uniform. She really took the idea of a capsule wardrobe to the next level! I'd be happy to have Rayne come back and help groups of our professional women again and again - totally easy, fun, and impactful afternoon. Great way to embrace our confidence!!! read more

I absolutely loved working with Rayne!!! Her color analysis experience was so fun AND very informative. I'll never look at color the same way! Having that knowledge while shopping honestly makes it easier for me now. I'm less indecisive and I know what looks best on me. The same goes for her stying service. I feel more confident when I put an outfit together because of her guidance. Her voice is in my head reminding me to accessorize! Aside from being excellent at her craft, she's such a lovely person. I needed to have headshots updated my daughter while traveling through LA with a Broadway Tour. I knew I wouldn't have time to search out and purchase clothes while on the road, so I headed to Google to look for a highly recommended stylist. Rayne was one of the options. After connecting with her, I felt comfortable that she understood exactly what we needed. She even brought the clothes to the hotel room the night before the shoot and steamed our final selections for us and will return what we don't need, so I didn't have to do a thing. Our photographer loved the wardrobe I brought and even asked for our stylist's name for future clients. My daughter's manager was equally impressed upon looking at the photo proofs. I can't say enough great things about Rayne! (Photo is an unedited proof by Shandon Photography.) read more

Rayne is a dream come true! After having my son and not really getting back to pre-baby weight, it has been hard going shopping. Rayne gave me some great new wardrobe ideas (include 2 new jean styles) and got me out of my comfort zone with colors! Who knew I had a dark winter color pallet. Rayne is fun with no pressure! We laughed and we added some great new upgrades to my closet! Thank you Rayne! Can't wait til next time. read more

I loved working with Rayne! She has such a positive, encouraging energy, and was so fun to be around through the process of editing my closet, shopping and styling. Oh my, oh my; what can I say about Rayne that hasn't been mentioned by others. She is fantastic, fun to collab with, and wholeheartedly invested in whatever style goal you are looking to achieve. I was looking to elevate my headshots game and knew that working with a stylist was the way to go. Thankfully via a mutual acquaintance, Rayne and I connected and I knew she was the one! She worked with me every step of the way and, honestly, thought me A LOT about styling and creating options. All I can say is that I went into my headshots sessions confident AF in our choices, and the end result is that my reps love them ... and I do too. Thank you, Rayne, for enthusiastically guiding me throughout this process. I am so grateful for the time, focus, and joy you bring to helping me look good! read more

Style by Rayne - Personal Shopping Near Me

This is my second time using Rayne and I have nothing but good things to say! On our first shopping appointment we shopped for fall/winter styles, and during the second, we shopped for spring/summer. I was pleased with the first appointment, but the second was even better because Rayne had a better understanding of my style and personality. She gets me! Before our second meeting, Rayne suggested options for the appointment: a session at my house, Zoom meeting or location with a tailor. I was unsure about which was better. So, I asked Rayne which type of session provides the best results. She suggested Nordstom Local Melrose. I loved this choice because Rayne brought clothes from Nordstom and other third-party stores. In addition, the tailor was available to make alterations. Before she shopped, I received a list of the items she planned to purchase and had the option of adding/subtracting from the list. I thought about my needs for the summer and made revisions. I appreciate Rayne's attention to the budget. She technically exceeded the second appointment's budget. I say technically because she included items from our first appointment that were either too expensive or unavailable. For those items, she brought alternatives and of course, I had the option to accept/reject. Thanks to Rayne, I now have looks to wear year-round. The looks work for business casual, evening, and vacation environments. It was such a pleasure working with her!! read more

Rayne is very knowledgeable, has a keen sense of style and makes shopping fun. She has an infectious energy and made me feel very pretty in all my new clothes. More importantly Rayne really educated me on my color palette and my silhouette that best fits my body type so I can make decisions on my own (not that I would ever want to go shopping without her). I feel very fortunate to have found Rayne and would highly recommend her for a closet overhaul, wardrobe refresh or special occasion outfit. read more

Shopping for headshot clothing is always a daunting, exhausting, and stressful job. I have often picked great photographers but found that I fell short on the attire I picked out myself. So a trusted actor friend highly recommended Rayne to me and, I'll be honest, it made the biggest difference in the quality of the shots. Rayne provided me with a fantastic color palette to use while shopping, helped me to clearly define three looks, dug all over the internet for great clothing options, and made it a breeze to sort through the outfits. I felt so confident and prepared for my headshots with multiple options for each look. This saved me so much time when I did the shopping and it was worth the peace of mind to hire the advice of a professional. She's fun, she's smart, and she knows what she's doing. read more

Not only is Rayne awesome at what she does, she is also the biggest cheerleader and hype woman! She made me feel confident in all of our choices, helped me understand the reasons behind each choice, and was thorough in all of our communication and planning. As an actor in LA, I knew I needed a stylist for my headshots who really understood actors and characters, and Rayne is 100% that stylist! I loved working with her and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to help you look and feel your very best! read more

Rayne was referred to me through another actor friend who hired Rayne to style her headshots and everyday outfits. I hired Rayne for headshot consulting, finding my body type, color personality and personal shopping. Rayne is so much better than any other stylist on Wishi or Stitch Fix that I have tried. Rayne does her homework on you and studies you before you meet! When you meet she presents everything in a presentation format and copies you on it via email and Pinterest. Rayne's prices are reasonable. She can also shop for you and within your price range (she can find outfits under $100 if you want!). After meeting with Rayne once (and even before shopping for better fitting clothes for my body type) we decided what headshots I should keep and the ones to get rid of, and I have already seen a difference in my acting bookings. Plus, I have already started wearing stuff from my current closet that fit my skin tone and body type better and I know what clothes to get rid of now. Overall, my essence, my personality, my confidence, my appearance has already improved because of Rayne -- and I haven't even shopped for new clothes yet! Thank you Rayne! It feels so special to have found you. :-) Love, April W. p.s. If you're on the fence about hiring Rayne, please email her and tell her your style goals so she can let you know the best course of action. She just might surprise you on how she can help!
