4.5 stars Rooms were spacious and clean and had a balcony. Rooms were confusing to find based on how the floors were laid out. Breakfast had a wide variety, including several different kinds of croissants. Our tour company had booked a different room for us, but they had given us a room with the beds pushed together. The place is cheep that's the good part. We were supposed to have 2 rooms. We had a conference. Last year they didn't have enough rooms for everybody so we were able to move to 1 room. I slept in a bed pushed into my room for me. I was supposed to get money back but they didn't honor that. read more

For a hotel claiming to be a conference center this place gets one star. I'd give no stars but that's not an option. It may have once dreamed of being a cool place. That dream is gone. Severely understaffed. Registration took forever. Key readers in room doors fail. Manager nowhere to be seen. No one seems to be in charge. Staff tells you to talk to that person over there only to be told by that person a similar thing. One bartender at the bar. Same person performing snack bar duty. IF they answer the phone they hang up. But good news... they typically let it ring so technically they don't hang up on you THAT much. No one seems to care. WiFi on and off at peak times. Baggage storage is a criminal's dream. No curb service for luggage. No one directing traffic with conference buses. Carpet is NASTY. TV remotes don't work. TVs are glitchy if you get it to turn on. No AC in the rooms or even a fan to circulate the smell of stale urine in the carpet. Plugs in rooms don't work. Vanity lights in bathroom were out. Black mold all around the tub. Fire doors propped open by.... wait for it.... fire extinguishers. Roving policemen on the elevators and hallways. Avoid this place. Do not have your conference here. I don't see how a business enterprise with this performance record can honestly call itself anything other than a tired cheap hotel for tourists who need a budget rate. But... the AC in the lobby was OK. Too bad the line at the bar was a 30 minute wait. Run away. read more

I stayed here for three nights as part of a tour group. I would recommend if you are looking for a hotel that offers breakfast and is located somewhat central to Rome and the Rome airport. During my stay, I did not observe any rude behavior from the staff. They were aloof and in no hurry to assist, but no one was rude. The only rude people I witnessed were guests. One lady was blowing snot rockets on the interior floor, another lady was hollering at the wait staff because she was filling her thermos with cappuccino and he was trying to explain that it violated COVID protocols, and large groups of guests not making space for others to exit the elevator. Also, the interior (rooms) were very outdated, the air conditioning was weak, only two small elevators serviced 8 floors, and only one (of six tested) vending machine actually worked. Oh, The toilet seat was not aligned with the toilet bowl. Bottom line, if you are part of a huge group or staying for free, I suppose it's OK. Otherwise, find something a bit more modern. read more

Rented a room here since it is relatively close to the big historical sites in Rome. The room itself is surprisingly spacious. The bed was large and relatively comfortable. My favorite amenity was the giant showerhead that actually felt like a shower instead of measly water drips. The only problem was that there is no covering for the bathtub so water splashed everywhere. Other than that, the room was decent. Breakfast in the morning was included and provides various foods such as breads, cheese, ham, coffee, and juices. The food was also decent but I was expecting more variety. Overall, this place falls between a 3 and a 4 star rating. I read reviews previously of customer service issues. When I approached the front desk for some questions, they were very friendly and gave me the answer I needed. Thus, I gave this place a 4 star. read more

Breakfast is disgusting here. They told me they fixed my shower when they didn't. Said to call down if they didn't and they would fix it and they don't answer the phone. Still waiting for an answer. Had to get new keys every night because they never worked when we got back to the room. Tour group said they upgraded us to this hotel, seems like they downgraded us to me. The bath tub had mold under the surface and I got a rash on my foot after taking a shower. Hotel receptionists - except for one nice man, rude, can't be bothered, lazy, won't answer the front desk phone even though there are 5 of them standing there. When we got to room it was off and called down. They told us it was broke and they just had to call mgmt. did not tell us this 3 min prior when obtaining key. agree with all comments here - many issues to be aware of couple good things are pool, free wifi, +/- free breakfast many bad things including some that aren't forgiveable: it is not luxurious or even cute, it is very plain decor and the furnitures and wall coverings are worn down with peeling, chips, etc carpet was stained and a bit dirty looking small (twin/double) beds, might be tough for very tall person winding darkly lit hallways and rooms, not numbered logically one tv screen which is tiny basically the size of a computer monitor breakfast not very appetizing although you can get free coffee walls thin and loud and bed is pretty hard similar to the airplane don't let the front desk do anything for you, they find ways to extra charge for everything including helping you get a cab NOTHING in the rooms - no drinks, snacks, fridge, no robe, no slippers, no coffee maker - basically two empty glasses in the bathroom if you need some water, room service only for breakfast items WORST of all is the staff - they are haughty and unsympathetic, and despite me trying to work out issues with my reservation in advance of my stay, they do not respond by email promptly if at all and they absolutely never answer the phone and all their responses by email or verbally in person are curt illogical inflexible bureaucratic speak - i would have tolerated the Euro-poor feeling of this shabby hotel a lot better if they had at least been reasonable rather than vociferously insisting on their "no refunds policy for any reservation at any time" which is not something I have ever encountered in 10 years of extensive conference travel and hotel stays I was really shocked at their level of poor managerial insight since I will never stay at this hotel again or recommend it as a result of their charging me for 2 extra nights and the hotel itself being so relatively mediocre not to warrant such actions by staff and management - beware of this place since they are clearly just in this to get your money fairly or unfairly and don't seem to care about building good business or happy customers read more

When United canceled our flight home from Rome a couple of weeks ago with NO notice, the Ergife Palace kicked it into high gear to accommodate the 50 or so of those stranded for the next 24 hours. The rooms were pretty basic but had everything we needed. What really made this hotel standout was the amazing resort-style pool. Huge. I didn't know places like this existed in Rome as all of the hotels I've stayed at or have looked at do not have any type of pool. They had a lunch buffet waiting for us when we got off the bus, and a dinner buffet later that night. Lunch was great, for dinner we opted for their restaurant instead and it was outstanding! The walls are a little thin but for one night, I can't really complain. Though I would probably not stay in this area in the future, I will say that the Ergife Palace is a nice short term stay with a friendly staff and great pool to cool off in. read more

A very nice conference hotel. The rooms are newly refurbished, everything looks very clean on the inside. The outside of the hotel and parts of the pool area (which is really nice for relaxing, btw!) look a bit old and worn, parts of the concrete are a bit broken or dirty, but that's just superficial. Breakfast is a bit lacking, you really get to feel that Italians are not used to having a rich breakfast, rather take just a coffee and have a snack later on. Internet is available on the ground floor and conference floors as WiFi, and on the rooms via ethernet cable (bring your own!). read more

I got my own hotel room and felt so free. The only problem was that I noticed a water leak in the ceiling of the closet. It was leaking pretty bad. I had to tell them about it. Hands down, this was the BEST hotel I stayed in during my tour of Europe, which includes London, Paris, Lucerne, Florence, and Venice. I stayed in Ergife for 5 nights. The rooms were small and the beds were rock hard. The Rooms were not exactly clean. Limited toiletries. Had to call for extra toilet paper and The reception employees were cold and not cooperative. When asked about transportation to the city we were informed that they would arrange for a taxi, which they did. But never told us that when they call a taxi that is parked exactly outside the entrance this taxi is already charging six euros, if we would have walked to the entrance these 6 euros are not charged. The pool is under construction, so no swimming during our stay. The hotel is very far from the city and major attractions. The hotels restaurants food was very disappointing and the place smelled like it had been closed for weeks with a humid smell. The morning included breakfast was exactly the same for 5 days. Breakfast included pale ham, a lots of hard bread, one type of cheese, Stale corn flakes, bread as hard as rock, acid juices and no fresh fruit. Only WiFi in the lobby, which was very hot. No music...or other ambience. I consider not returning to Ergife ever again. read more

The hotel itself is really nice and clean. The rooms are always stocked with toiletries, towels and amenities. The only complaint I have is regarding the AC. We called the front desk and asked why the AC wasn't turning on. One time they told us it only works from 6-10pm! Where do I even start? Absolutely NOTHING was good about this hotel...I take that back...the housekeeping, wait staff and maintenance workers were polite. But everything else was absolutely horrible. I wish I could give it a zero rating. I just finished a 4 night stay as a part of a conference. And I couldn't wait to give a review on Yelp, which I rarely do and I travel a lot. Let's start with my main issue, the SERVICE... the workers at the front desk were abrasive, rude, and obnoxious. I'm not sure where they went to customer service training, but they should get a refund. Ignoring customers, no eye contact, no smiles, rolling eyes when asked to repeat things (I'm American and I tried to be very polite when I couldn't understand the accent), acting as if the customer's question is a burden and nuisance...all of these things are simply unacceptable in the service industry. And honestly, if the service was good I could have overlooked all of the other stuff. Kindness, friendliness, and helpfulness goes a long way. The ACCOMMODATIONS... I will likely need neck and back therapy after sleeping on what felt like a cement slab for 4 nights. The bed had no springs or cushion at all and it was accompanied by 2 little flat pillows just as hard. I am literally traveling home on a 10 hour flight in physical pain because of that bed. FOOD... all I can say is yuck...from breakfast to dinner! How does an Italian hotel mess up pasta and pastries? And why did they even attempt to do steak? Every dish was flavorless and bland and tasted as though it was warmed from a frozen package. I simply got tired of forcing the food down and started skipping conference meals. After day 2, I started waiting until we went out at night to eat. But I can say the room service and wait staff were pleasant. But ***Caution*** they charge 15 euros for room service, even if you order a bottle of water. FACILITIES... the meeting rooms in the basement were extremely hot. At one point, one of the women in our session got so hot she had to get up and walk to the door to keep from passing out. This was a professional conference and I had to take my jacket off everyday. The AMENITIES... can someone please tell me what modern day hotel in the 21st century does not provide irons and ironing boards for each room, even if only by request? When I called down to request one, the rude person at the desk told me they were not allowed but I could come down to the lobby and use the 1 iron and 1 ironing board down there. So I marched down with 4 days of wrinkle clothes in my arms passing a lobby full of women checking in. Ridiculous!!! Who does that? I hope this review helps you. There were no refrigerators or irons/ironing boards in rooms and they are also not available as an option. You can eat meals on the patio near the pool.
