Island Smash and Siesta ad Amalfi
My N.

This review is for their Mun Rooftop & Cocktail bar. Many hotel rooftop bars only have openings for their guests but this double tree Hilton welcomes everyone. I love their cocktails and creative names they have for them that recognizes the different regions in Italy. I love their island smash made with Vodka aromatized with myrtle, Lemon juice, Sugar, Basil, Herbal Foam. It was the herbal foam for me. Also, the views are amazing too. They have heaters so you can enjoy the rooftop year round. 100% recommend.

Excellent location. Gelato are sold across the street from the hotel.

we have an excellent stay at this hotel. The hotel is located a short 5 to 8 minute walk from Roma termini, the train station. It is also located diagonally from the Basilica. there is a gelato right across the street as well as lots and lots of restaurants. It's also a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum and the Roman forum. The rooms at the hotel were very comfortable and clean. We are Hilton diamond members and we get free buffet breakfast and it was also possible to order omelettes, French toast and other things from the menu for free. They also gave us one large bottle of water every day. The hotel also has a restaurant that is open for dinner. We did not eat there since there are so many other restaurants nearby but we noticed that they had specials for lunch and many people were actually dining there. The hotel also has a gym, that has some weights and aerobic type machines. They also have drinking water and towels. We heard a bit of noise from our room during one of the nights because there was a large group of people at one of the restaurants across the street, who were singing and drinking. But overall, it was not very noisy, I mean you are in the middle of a city so you cannot expect complete silence, but it did not bother us. The location is excellent for sightseeing purposes because you can get to so many things by walking. It is also close to the train station and close to the Metro station as well. The Internet was also reliable and with good speed, I was able to dial in to some zoom meetings with no problems. Highly recommended.

Another roof-top shot.

AWARENESS: If you've followed me or my reviews for awhile. You know when I travel from home and am in need of place to stay, I'll always choose a Hilton property. So when it came to planning our trip to Europe this year, Hilton properties were checked first. NARRATIVE: Our flight into Rome arrived around 7:30am and after gathering our luggage and making our way to find a Taxi, we ended up arriving at the Double Tree just before 9am. ** NOTE ** If you plan to travel to Italy or any European locations. Your Passport and the Passports of those traveling with you are REQUIRED prior to checking into ANY hotels. After checking-in, we were told our room would not be available until around the noon hour. The desk gladly took possession of our luggage for storage and were told we could head out to start our exploration of the city. Upon our return to the hotel after noon, we were handed our door card keys and told about about the basics of the hotel. A Buffett style breakfast was available each morning from 7-10am and Aperitivo (happy hour) on the roof-top each evening from 5-11pm. SCENE: The Double Tree Hotel is located at Piazza dell'Esquilino 1 in the Monti area of Rome. Within two blocks walking distance of Roma Termini train station and about a mile from both the Colosseum and the Spanish Steps, this hotels location is choice. Its also a daily new hotel. I believe it was opened in 2018. RECOMMENDATION(S): When I travel back to Rome, I will be staying here again.

This is a solid hotel for your Rome stay!! First, if you are into staying at newer hotels, this one opened in 2020! It has 7 floors with 133 rooms. Things that I liked: 1. The hotel decor is modern- yet simplistic. 2. If you are a Hilton member, you get complimentary breakfast. It is offered from 7am-10am. The breakfast is buffet style and varied. There is something for everyone. They also have two coffee machines that you can press a button and get cups of cappuccino. They also have bottles of water and even juice and champagne if you are in the mood for mimosas. I was more than satisfied with the breakfast. 3. They have a gym. it is pretty basic. However, if you just need to get some basic weight training in it will do the job. 4. Rooftop area that includes a bar. It's nice to have a spot to just relax at your hotel. 5. Housekeeping provided daily and they did a stellar job! The rooms are very clean. 6. Room have a refrigerator and complimentary coffee machines and coffee. 7. Location location location! This hotel is only a few blocks from the termini station. In addition you can walk to just about any tourist destination. I only took an Uber a few times during my week long stay. Things that were not my favorite: 1. It's Europe so the room size is small. 2. There is no pool 3. I did not like the bathroom area. They have a half glass on the shower and it looks nice but causes the floor to get soaked. 4. The elevators are small, and often times moved slow. It appears they need more than two to accommodate everyone. Overall- I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

This is a nice hotel in a central location in Rome. The rooms have a refrigerator and complementary coffee . There is a rooftop bar, and restaurant on first floor . No pool or gym . They offer breakfast for Hilton honors or you can pay for it. It's a decent breakfast options. The dinner here was less desirable .

Hazal, Cristina, and Simona provided exceptional service on the rooftop at the Hilton Double Tree. When we arrived, it was a full rooftop. Need a seat in a crowded terrace? No problem! These staff members not only sat and served us professionally, we also witnessed them handle a large unexpected group with tact and the utmost professionalism. These staffers are the reason I'll recommend this hotel to our friends and family. Also, Christopher, that handled baggage in the front lobby, worked to check us in early when our flight came in much earlier than the expected check in time. While it may seem small, we were exhausted from traveling from the states. I was very grateful to receive a room earlier than expected and settle in. Seriously consider this well-located Hilton.

AMAZING!! Great staff, beautiful lobby, and the hotel rooms are up to date. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay; my room was comfortable and rather big. The breakfast and room service tasted great ( I recommend the martadella pizza). The staff helped me get taxis and arrange my outside activities ( major thank you!!). Not to mention it has great air conditioning. Definitely will be coming back.

We had a great stay here during our trip to Rome. We stayed here for three nights. . The rooms are very nice and squeaky clean, and well insulated from outside noise. All of the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed some good breakfast downstairs . This is a great location for travelers who want to be close to the train station and reasonable distance from the main historical sites, but still want a relatively calm surrounding. We were able to walk almost everywhere that we wanted to go, we also used the hop on hop off bus. Being a few blocks away from the train station was a huge plus.

This hotel was the perfect place to stay in Rome, 4 blocks from the train terminal and surrounded by restaurants and some shopping. They have a breakfast buffet daily from 7-10 am and also a small coffee/ sandwich shop that's open till 6 daily. The rooms are clean and very updated and the staff if extremely helpful

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Roman experience. We will definitely be back!

The hotel called an ambulance which took me to the closest hospital and Armando from the staff walked to the hospital with my wife and daughter and accompanied them for over an hour helping to communicate with hospital personnel and didn't leave until he knew I was being cared for. After my hospital visit was over and we went back to the hotel the staff helped translate my order and prescriptions. They were so helpful with everything else. They gave us a very good walking map of Rome with highlighted routes, a list of restaurants that they recommended and we were not disappointed in any that we went to, they scheduled taxi pickups, had umbrellas for the rain a great breakfast with awesome cappuccino and lattes and a happy hour. The rooms are comfy and very clean, the shower water flow is unreal ( felt like I was standing under a water fall). The staff at this place and I mean every one of them made me feel so welcomed and went above and beyond to help us with our needs. If I ever make it back Rome this is the only place I want to stay!
