This has been one of my favorite hotels of all time! Despite how busy and popular the area gets I felt like the crowd control was great. I rarely felt cramped except for the bench seating where you are seated next to other parties on the same bench. But other than that I found the entire atmosphere to be extremely charming. I couldn't' get over the bas relief decor in the dining area and all the opulence never seemed to amaze me. The breakfast was also one of the best hotel breakfasts. Each day I got eggs made to order and fell in love with their ham and Swiss cheese omelets. The croissant options were always the finale to breakfast and was a lovely way to start the day. The hotel room was gorgeous and luxe with plenty of beautiful amenities beyond just soap and hair care - there was also milk cleansers, bath salt, various lotions, bar soap and hand wash, and more. There is a coffee table book in the room that shows the history of the hotel along with significant guests who have made St. Regis their home away from home. It is a lovely hotel and I look forward to returning in the future.

We stayed at the St. Regis in Rome. Here's what we liked best. The location is highly convenient. We were able to walk to great shopping, restaurants and sites, including the colosseum and Trevi fountain. Clean accommodations and friendly staff. With jet lag, our sleep schedule was sporadic. The housekeeping staff kindly managed to attend to our room regardless of the hour. It's luxury you would come to expect of the St. Regis brand. Pro tip: Ironing boards/iron not in room and must be requested via Front Desk. However, you can have up to TWO items pressed daily Free. I deducted one star because our bed was lumpy - time to switch out the mattress! And be sure to request a room on floors 1-3. The fourth floor is right below the gym and very noisy during gym hours.

Gorgeous establishment with first class luxury service with a warm welcome. We stopped by for the fashion fair and checked out the bar and took a cruise around. Stunning bustling spot. I'm a frequent patron of the NY St.Regis and Rome definitely has a different vibe and gives NYC a run for its money.

We spent 5 nights at the St. Regis and were well taken care of. Their level of service is truly outstanding from check in, our butlers, and the bellmen. We were always greeted with a smile and a hello. Our room was well maintained and equipped with all that we needed. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful-I was a big fan of the smoked swordfish and tuna. Be sure to check out the nightly champagne sabering (7 pm) and enjoy a glass in the beautiful dining area. Just a world class hotel in a world class city. Special thanks to the bellman who was able to track down the packages we left behind in a taxi. A life saver!

Yikes, not much more can be said... This place is absolutely world class. The services, the rooms, the restaurant, the breakfast etc are all top notch. Having spent a little over a week here, it's tough to stay anywhere else in Rome... Lumi (resto) is awesome! The butler service is top notch. Highly recomend!

We stopped here for a few drinks. I ordered a Tequila Old Fashioned, very good! You know you are in a good bar when they use Clear Ice Cubes! Also got an Expresso Martini and very good! They also brought some Short Bread Cookies and some almonds, great little snack. The service was not great for a St Regis, very slow to get drinks and to close out the tab. I expect that in Italy but this was way too slow, I had to hunt him down, and was talking to someone. Ciao

We were on a Tauck tour of Italy and this was the hotel they chose in Rome. I am delighted that they chose this hotel because it was fabulous. The lobby and restaurant are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are also so nice with the high ceilings, crown molding and mirrored and shelfed wall holding the TV. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with so much good food on it. We even had two musicians playing instruments while we dined.

Wonderful experience with great service and a delicious morning buffet spread. The evening ceremony was always entertaining.

Fresh honey dripping from actual honeycomb. Impressive.

It is a "WOW". Beautiful hotel with attention paid to details. Warmly greeted by staff everytime we came in contact with them. Makes you feel so very welcomed and your business is appreciated. Luggage quickly taken off our hands the moment we arrived. Impressed the first 1 minute and it didn't stop the entire time. Check in was quick and they even walked us to our room! I have to mention...the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The shower pressure was strong and delicious. Loved the choice of rain shower or regular shower. My favorite part of the room were all of the toiletrees. They didn't skimp on those. Quality products too. Towels were large and plentiful. The room was beautiful. Cozy and comfortable. Our view was boring and not great. That was disappointing. Elevators scared me. They were freaky tiny. I rode it once and that was enough. I took the stairs the rest of my stay. Then there was that amazing morning brunch. Omg...soooo delicious. A great start to our day. The selection on the buffet was impressive. Something for everyone. I especially enjoyed seeing the fresh honey dripping from the actual honeycomb. The breakfast staff were also friendly and wanting to please. Cappuccino needed to be hotter while the pot of coffee was perfectly brewed and nice and hot. I enjoyed the location of the open air resturant a few steps up from the lobby. Very elegant feel. What a let down that our next hotel was nothing like this one. The St Regis truly spoiled us!! I highly recommend staying here.

We have enjoyed the St Regis on several occasions during this trip... And each time, fabulous. The afternoon tea is delicious and super special. The 7 PM Saber Champagne ceremony is very special... And worth enjoying. And I had an amazing carbonara here and my daughter loved the spaghetti with tomato sauce. It is wonderful to be here, and I can't wait to be back!

Side view of room- I really should have taken more photos. It was large and very nicely done.

By Rome standards for a full-service hotel, it would be considered affordable by many. But just to be clear, it is not ultra-inexpensive. For the money, it is firmly in the 4-star hotel genre (getting a 5-star Yelp rating from me within this category because I could find nothing wrong with it during my stay). So, while it may not have crystal chandeliers and butlers running around, it is definitely not a student tourist level hostel. It has modern, comfortable public spaces, elevators that hold more than 2 people at a time, a restaurant with a good breakfast spread, and well-appointed guest rooms with modern amenities and AC. I really don't need more than that when I am traveling solo for business so it was perfect for me given that set of circumstances. As a comparison, I have stayed at a 5-star Rome hotel which was absolutely a step up in terms of service, luxury features, and a sense of a personal attention. But when I am alone on business, that level of service is not necessary and can feel uncomfortable to me. There are plenty of cafe's and restaurants within a 10 min walk and it is a reasonable walk to attractions such as the Opera House, the Coliseum, and the Trevi Fountain. It is also a 10-minute walk to the main terminal Rome train station and the cool, local Nuovo Mercato Esquilino if you are into that type of thing like I am. I spent early mornings walking somewhere for coffee and then through the Mercato to watch the vendors work to ready their produce and meat to be pawed over by early restauranteurs which was a cool look at the underbelly life of this great city. I really liked that this hotel is not right up against the busy street and, on at least 2 sides of the building, there are streets that are not constantly jammed with the noise of traffic. My room fronted one of the quiet sides. It is unclear to me if I was upgraded to a nicer than standard room location because of my Hilton loyalty status but I had a very quiet stay in a room that was impeccably clean and could be easily darked out during the day if I needed a restorative nap for my jet lag. The gym was reasonably appointed and open 24/7 and the wi-fi speed was top notch. I had a great stay here for the money. Based on all of this, when in Rome in the future as a solo business traveler, I would be very happy to stay here again.

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Roman experience. We will definitely be back!
