The best hotel right in the middle of the action unlike all my previous times, the travel agents booked us out of town. My last stay I booked was at Sofitel, beautiful hotel w a breakfast buffet better than st Cesar Palace but it was in the middle of nowhere! It was 15 euros to go from point A to B. Albergo Del Senato is in front of the Pantheon, piazza della Rotonda, I am on the 1st floor which is actually 2nd floor, I can watch the beautiful piazza from my window n people watching till 2am, restaurants are open till 2am weekends, 1am weekdays. There are about 8 restaurants near by n even a supermarket, I was very lucky to find this gem, I booked this during all the Fearmongering, right now they are 100% booked till thanksgiving. There are only 2 rooms w balconies opening to the pantheon, this must be Presidential suite, ours was a junior suite w such comfortable bed n pillows. I'm still shocked there is zero inflation, gelato 3 euros? Unheard of, pizza 10 to 12€, caipirinhas 9.50€ taxi 20 min to Villa Borghese only 9€? Where's the inflation Joey? Stop blaming other people! It's you creating skyrocketing inflation! I told my kids to come here when they come to Rome. I wish I could rate this 6 stars! Arrive Derci!

We stayed four nights at this quaint hotel next to the Pantheon. Our room was on the fourth floor facing the Pantheon so we had a great view of the square. The room is smaller in size but clean. Front desk, bell person, and housekeeping are all very friendly. This hotel has a nice rooftop patio that overlooks the entire square. On days where we left early for ours, the hotel did pack us a little snack bag so we can bring it with us. Their breakfast service in the dinning room is very nice if you get a chance to try it. We enjoyed our stay at this conveniently located cute place.

We stayed here for 5 nights in July and had the greatest time in Rome. Beautiful and clean hotel with air conditioning (helps alot with the hot summers in Rome). It was my birthday but we didn't tell any of the staff. Just went out and celebrated with a nice dinner in one of the many excellent restaurants nearby. When we returned to our room, there was a bottle of champagne sitting in an icebucket with a card greeting me a happy birthday. What a nice gesture. Topnotch! I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends.

Location, location, location! My husband and I stayed here to kick off our honeymoon in August and absolutely loved our stay. Rooms were small but we expected that. They were recently renovated super clean and modern. Breakfast is what you expect in Italy. The rooftop bar is a great spot to have a glass of wine of beer to end you night was looking at the Pantheon and listening to the street performers below.

The room was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, and we had a widow that opened to the Pantheon and square!

That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

The hotel called an ambulance which took me to the closest hospital and Armando from the staff walked to the hospital with my wife and daughter and accompanied them for over an hour helping to communicate with hospital personnel and didn't leave until he knew I was being cared for. After my hospital visit was over and we went back to the hotel the staff helped translate my order and prescriptions. They were so helpful with everything else. They gave us a very good walking map of Rome with highlighted routes, a list of restaurants that they recommended and we were not disappointed in any that we went to, they scheduled taxi pickups, had umbrellas for the rain a great breakfast with awesome cappuccino and lattes and a happy hour. The rooms are comfy and very clean, the shower water flow is unreal ( felt like I was standing under a water fall). The staff at this place and I mean every one of them made me feel so welcomed and went above and beyond to help us with our needs. If I ever make it back Rome this is the only place I want to stay!

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Roman experience. We will definitely be back!
