We were lucky enough to stay overnight at the Monte Palace Hotel in Rome. What a wonderful experience. This lovely boutique hotel was close to all the attractions. 5 to 10 minutes walk away from the Colosseum, another five or 10 minutes away from the Roman forum. Close to all kinds of shops and restaurants. It's a lovely boutique hotel with a rooftop patio and a lovely outside eating space as well as the space inside for breakfast in the morning.
Our rate came with breakfast which was expansive with all kinds of fruit, cereals, yogurts, meats and cheeses, breads etc. there was even a coffee machine to make coffee anyway you wanted it - as well as all kinds of juices etc.
As for the rooms -- the furnishings were all very modern. Beautiful flat panel TV, lovely large bathroom including a bidet and heated towel rack. There was a laptop safe, and lots of space in the closet to hang things. The staff are really helpful and worked to get us a room as quickly as possible, being that we tried to check in early as we had just come that day and therefore were trying to check in in the late morning. They were very sympathetic to us having a lot of jet lag LOL. Lovely sized room and very comfy bed too. USB charging ports as well as wired ones.
We were quite lucky also that they upgraded our room and we had one that had a wonderful outdoor space including patio loungers and an eating area, it really was too wonderful and we were sorry we were only going to be there for one night. I highly recommend this establishment. You will not be disappointed. We stayed in the middle of the summer, and you can count on the air conditioning working very well there also. The staff were incredibly welcoming. read more
