We stayed here for five nights. The hotel is a five minute walk from Termini train station and a very short walk to the Republicca metro stop. It's also located across the street from the Rome Opera House. The rooms are great-very clean, and spacious by European standard. This hotel offers: * Complimentary water bottle in your room, * Option for paid breakfast in your booking and the breakfast bar is absolutely outstandingly. And I definitely recommend getting a room plan that includes the daily breakfast buffet. It's worth the extra euros and the IQ buffet is really outstanding; even better than Four Season or Ritz breakfast in term of taste and quality. * Small gym, * Sauna facility (small and it is mixed for men and women) * 5:00PM-10:00PM lounge area, * Hot tub on the roof, * Rooftop lounge, * Variety of room configuration options, * Coin operated laundry facility, * Ice vending machine (ice is such scarce thing in Europe), :-) * Price is very reasonable. The hotel is SUPER Clean; and room service and cleaning of this property is impeccable. Each staff that I interacted was outstanding, courteous and always pleasant and made me feel welcome. Overall, this is a great boutique hotel and I would not hesitate to stay here again. I would have given it a 10 stars and I have been to Europe many times and this is one of the best business/pleasure boutique hotel that I have ever stayed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at the iQ Roma Hotel. Everything about this hotel is modern and clean. They provide access to a lot of amenities to its guest. For example, they got a gym area with a sauna (few weights, two treadmills, two stationary bikes and what looks to be like an eliptical machine). They've also got a rooftop terrace area with lawn chairs to relax after a long day walking on those cobble stoned streets of Roma. Oh, and then there's the breakfast. It was include with our room, but otherwise it's about 10 euros for breakfast. They've got eggs, sausages, croissants and all kinda of breakfast drinks from which you can choose from. A pretty good spread if you asked me. All the food was really fresh and surprisingly tasty. Location wise, I liked how it was close to the train station. It was also close to Metro which was definitely a plus. It is also about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and another 10 minute walk from the Fountains to the Pantheon. So on a good day, the walk is not too bad at all. All the staff were all friendly and courteous. After having stops in Paris and Venice where the hotels were ran differently than what were accustomed to, it was nice to end our trip here where it was more to our comfort level. If we ever come back to Roma, iQ hotel will definitely be on the top of the list of hotels we'd consider.

Very modern, friendly, clean, comfortable hotel. Great price (November stay Avg. $145 USD/night). Great location. Great staff. Big room, big bathroom. Our window opened to a view of the Opera House across the street. Roof top terrace (wish it had a view) but it was a nice bonus. Free gym and sauna, in case you haven't walked around Rome enough. Love the weird art. Couldn't get enough of the wine/beer/coffee vending machines. We didn't try their breakfast. Our only complaint was the coin operated dryer did not work properly, so after doing a load of wash, we had damp clothes decorating our hotel room for a day. 5-10 minute taxi ride from the train station. Within walking distance to many great restaurants, bars, shops, and marts. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone I know that's going to Rome.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were very simple, but also very clean. There were only two tv stations that were in English, but we didn't spend enough time in our room to matter. The location is in walking distance to the Coliseum, Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, and other attractions. We were amongst the locals, which was great, it's not in a chunk of tourist hotels. There are a ton of great restaurants nearby, but there is also one on the fifth floor at the IQ. We slept comfortably the nights we stayed and the rooms were clean. The guys at the front counter, however, are amazing! They were fun to joke around with, they were helpful with directions and locations of places we were looking for, and they were fun to talk to. Overall, this is a simple hotel, but a great place to stay and sleep comfortably.

I travel a lot and don't usually write reviews. I'm writing this to save travelers all the online research and help them decide on iQ Roma with confidence - it's very close to Termini station where you can go anywhere in Italy, it's near all kinds of food, pharmacies, pubs, late night spots etc., it's safe and secure, well-lit and traveled area, and SO CLEAN! The super modern furniture helps too. My room had a little balcony which was so nice. And with WiFi, plenty of outlets, USB, built-in converters for US and Euro voltage, etc. - it's a sure bet. The staff is so nice and speak good English. Business center has a printer to plan trips and print your tickets. It just had everything a real traveler needs. Do yourself a favor and try for yourself!

That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Roman experience. We will definitely be back!
