Jacob Bluefinger sub and Wisconsin Beer Cheese soup
    Rich S.

The best part of my lunch was the bread. Super fresh and warm, nice and soft on the inside. I had the Jacob Bluefinger sub and added a cup of the Wisconsin beer cheese soup. I didn't realize how expensive the soup combo would be (it came out to a tad over $10 with tax). And the soup honestly was disappointing. It was rather bland and there were maybe 3 small pieces of carrot in it. I was drawn in by the name, but wish I had chosen something else. The sandwich was good, mostly because of the bread. Very fresh and it paired nicely with hot soup. They certainly didn't skimp on the provolone. Or lettuce for that matter- too much iceberg really. Good service and nice setting beside the theatre and overlooking Broadway.

Not stacked with ingredients but satisfactory...

It's hard to do a review for a restaurant like this. But if you're looking for a fast food style sandwich then you can't do much better.

Sounds like a boring meal; chicken & rice. But let me tell you, this was heaven in every bite. The risotto cake was the base to this dish, perfectly crispy with dreamy risotto inside. The panko breaded chicken breast was perfectly cooked, juicy chicken with a thin crust. The tomato jam brought this unique sweetness and the creamy sauce brought it all together. I can't wait to go back to Fargo and stop back for this meal. Oh, also, my server/bartender was the sweetest. She made a perfect dirty martini for me. The vibe seems fun for a happy hour, family dinner or work get together. I love that you can see into the kitchen too. There was someone constantly cleaning, the walls, expo line etc.

We got seated right away and our waitress took our drink orders. They had lots of drink options even many nonalcoholic. We ordered the potato and bacon soup, wedge salad, turkey jalapeño sandwich, and grilled cheese. Everything was delicious and had a fancy twist with extra sauces and lots of detail to the dishes. Sweet potato fries were amazing, very crispy. There were several dessert choices. My friend also had the cheesecake. It looked and tasted delicious.

Tucked away in the heart of downtown Fargo, this place has such a captivating, vintage soul. It feels established, storied, and wonderfully lived-in truly a breath of fresh air for those who appreciate a restaurant with real character. The atmosphere is a delightful challenge in the best way possible; it's vibrant, bustling, and clearly the place to be. The service was absolutely top-tier both the chef and the waiter were remarkably attentive and made me feel completely looked after. I simply had to try their legendary Fried Cheesy Pickles. They are an absolute revelation! Wrapped in Havarti and an egg roll wrap, they have this almost "fruit-like" crispness and sweetness that makes them utterly addictive. I was also quite charmed by the Toasted Frog itself it really is the best in town. Full marks across the board! It's a quintessential Fargo experience, and I am already planning my next visit. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and genuinely welcoming -- the kind of place where you instantly know you're about to have a great experience. We ordered the seared halibut and the wild acres duck breast, and honestly... I'm still thinking about them. The halibut was perfectly cooked -- tender, delicate, and packed with flavor. The duck was incredible -- rich, balanced, and executed with precision. Every bite felt intentional. And the service? Just as impressive. Attentive, friendly, and natural -- not forced, not rushed -- just real hospitality that made the whole experience even better. It's been a long time since I've had food this memorable. This wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. I'll definitely be coming back -- and next time, I'm bringing people with me. Highly recommend.

If you are from the Cities, they are owned by the same people as the Hewing, so expect a similar level of service. I liked my old fashioned a lot, it was well made. Thank you for being a highlight of my long ways trip. Food- stunning, innovative. Ambience- funky and cozy, well spaced, great people. LOVED!!! It was a quiet Wednesday night and a nice break from a long day in having dinner at Rosewild. The decor is contemporary and comforting. We sat at a table overlooking the town's ice skaters, so fun. Drinks were well done- as always never mad at a hand stuffed blue cheese olive martini. Besides though - the food!!! Mmmmmmmm. Apps were Pork Belly burnt ends and Burrata salad. The burnt ends were a falsehood in name, could've been more juicy and meaty to mimic beef, but the flavor was there. Burrata, delicious! Light pesto of fresh herb. Entrees around the table were Steaks, Walleye dishes and two sides. Steaks were well taken by those enjoying. Not the best of cuts chosen towards hanger but made for a satisfaction. The walleye - loved the staying local feel here. And the bread pudding underneath. WHAT was this???! - divine!!! Again an inspo dish. This bread pudding- I am finding recipe and making for a holiday dish accompaniment. WOW!! Additional sides brought towards the steaks were roasted brussels and fried potatoes. These potatoes- had to be fried in an animal fat. They had SOOOOO much flavor. I swear to you not- we were finished dinner, everything was taken off the table and I would NOT LET GO of these fries. FML. I die. I want to eat them again and again. I wanted to take them with, on the plane and repeat a thousand times over. I think the best fries I've ever had in life, no lie. Well freaking done Rosewild. I'd never think reason to come back to Fargo being an East Coast girl, except for you- and the exquisite service, ambiance and food. You are killing it!
