the sub was fantasti, I had the Italian, just as they make it, however if your looking for a manager with a personality, your at the wrong place! he was a complete jerk, I had never eaten at a FireHouse sub and wanted a bit of a conversation with him, he had no time for me as he rung up my bill, they went very busy at all. now I understand he might have been having a bad but suck it you got fun people to meet. A year or so ago I had a really good sandwich there, so I went back to try a different sub, the spicy meatball, and it wasn't great. But I wouldn't write a review over a mediocre sandwich because that could just be a matter of preference, so what I really wanted to mention in this review is the long wait times. I put in an online order, which would only let me out my order out by at LEAST 30 mins, so I figured maybe the store was busy, but when I got there 10-15 mins later, I was the only person in the store with the two workers. They informed me my order wasn't scheduled for 15-20 more mins, but they agreed to make it anyways, and even with that, I still waited a solid 15 mins for one sandwich, and being the only customer in the store and no other mobile orders. So I'd make sure you aren't in a hurry if you're planning to go here. read more

I've tried a number of sub places over the years, Firehouse Subs is the very best. Whether you're ordering an 8" or 12" sandwich, you won't be disappointed. For the first time in a long time, I've found a place with good service and where the food prepared actually looks as good as the photos displayed in the menu. The staff is very courteous and their store is very clean, albeit a bit cold at times. The soda machine is a favorite of mine and will allow you to explore a variety of flavor creations and combinations. Plus, as an added bonus, there's a t.v. in the corner where patrons are able to watch Bison football during the season. Forget about any of those other places, Firehouse Subs should be you're first choice! read more

Wow, has this place gone down hill. The floor was dirty and so was the men's bathroom. The pop machine was dirty and not working properly. The station with straws and pop tops was in dire need of being restocked and the napkins were empty. They were out of pickles. They screwed up both of our orders and there wasn't much meat on the sandwiches. The back door was propped, so when the front door was opened, it pulled cold air through the entire restaurant. There were 6 staff members there and not an ounce of motivation to be had. The staff were nice, but that doesn't clean restaurant. Uniforms would be a nice touch as would an adult manager. read more

ONLY one star because I can't give zero. 1) Awful service: the workers seemed more interested in the football game on the TV than their customers. I stood at the till for 5 minutes, got no service, and was then told that it would be a 30 minute wait when it wasn't very busy. Upon finally receiving service, I had to repeat my order more than once because, again, the worker was too busy watching the football game behind me. 2) Dirty Building: the floors were very dirty, and the tables were dirty (Mud, food, & wrappers on the floors). 3) Food: The subs are typically very good, but they forgot the cheese. 4) Repetitive Issues: this location always has left me with headaches. The staff are slow, loud, lazy, and rude. A young girl behind me in line had an online order with a gluten free roll which employees told her they were out of gluten free rolls. When she asked for a refund the workers said no. Only after her being persistent did a worker spend the next 10 minutes attempting to refund her her money. read more

Sandwiches served at Firehouse Subs are absolutely delicious! The kids love it since their meals include a plastic fireman hat. A couple days of the week kids eat free I believe. There is also an app where you can order ahead and collect reward points. Other franchise sandwich shops just won't be the same after coming here. read more

Extremely slow and rude service! Actually had 5 people working but only 2 actually worked. Won't be back. There was no one there and they took forever to make our subs as they were busy talking about their personal stuff. When asked about part of my order was very snarky and then threw my order on the counter and walked away - no thank you nothing. read more

Went there today. Poor service. It wasn't very busy. I ordered a sandwich and soup. I got my sandwich right away and they said they were "Making the soup" and it would be right up. 45!!!! minutes later I finally went up telling them I had to leave. "we're just getting it now". I watched as the scooped it out of the crock. I asked why it took so long to spoon it out of the crock and they said they had to make more since it was so busy over lunch. Evidently making it took 45 minutes. Also it's been some time since I've been there. They changed the bread. Now there is way more bread than meat on your sandwich. Probably won' t be going back there very soon. read more

I've always loved Firehouse subs back home. It's nice that one has finally reached North Dakota. I almost always get the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket. The New York steamer is also good. Probably can't go wrong with any of their subs. read more

Worst experience ever. Will not be back. Got all the way home to Casselton to discover my meal wasn't what I ordered. I came all the way back promised a free sub card then told they didn't have any and I asked for my money back. They wouldn't give it to me nor a card. What a joke. I then had to bring all my food back in and give it back for a refund I demanded told them I'm not leaving until I get my money back. read more

The only thing that makes this 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that I have only been there once!!! Staff was incredibly inviting, I have a high respect for the service businesses that put customer service at the highest priority. As a person with nothing but customer service and marketing experience, I was very appreciative! There was a slight line when I walked in, but that NEVER scares me. Lines are good, lines mean that people love the place. It moved fast, though! There were two people at the tills, both of which knew how to efficiently input the orders to move the line along. There was a super slow dude filling up his drink at the ONE freestyle machine, and then he answered his phone while selecting a Mellow Yellow flavor. Note to society: Don't answer your phone at a soda machine when there are people waiting patiently behind you. The lovely lady that brought my food to my table totally remembered what jacket I walked in with, and my sandwich actually beat me to my table that had my jacket hanging on a chair!! She was awesome! I kept my receipt just to fill out the survey in high regards. The environment was very casual, I LOVE THAT. The smell of the grills and smokey air was amazing, and I was kind of hoping to smell like that when I left. Restrooms were clean, and their was an option of hand sanitizer AND foam soap. I accidentally used both, but that just means that the employees and fellow patrons also probably have super clean hands. The location is perfect. It's in a rapidly developing area, and I work further south than this location. It's really nice to have great places like this to eat without going into the traffic-hell that is central Fargo area (13th Ave / 45th St) in the middle of the day. read more

I ordered the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket today for lunch. It was delicious! Tender brisket, cheddar cheese and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ. I ordered a medium size and was able to split it up into two meals. Had one half warm for lunch, and it was one of the best subs/sandwiches I have had. Ate the second half cold later that night, and it was still delicious cold!! The way the sub is prepared is unique. They have steam machines where the "insides" of the sub are heated. I think I heard them say the bread is toasted, but I couldn't tell on mine .The bread was warm, soft, fluffy, and tasted fresh both times I ate it! A couple of my co-workers have tried firehouse on my recommendation and they say the same. "Delicious". read more

The subs here are decent and fresh, but didn't seem particularly noteworthy or that unique in the menu compared to other sub places. I'd recommend checking it out if you're you're in the area and/or a fan of sauces - they have a diverse plethora of various flavors (like bbq and hot sauces) that you can sample and season your sub with, with the sauces each rated and labeled on the level of heat that range from 1-10. This was my favorite aspect of this place. Also enjoyed the local mural/artwork of the West Fargo department that takes up one of the walls! read more

Would have given this 5 stars because their food is amazing! Service is usually superb but today was a different story! There were two women working that were horrendous to customers. Shelly was one that I got a name from because I believe people should be called out for poor behavior. Shelly was the eldest of the 4 person crew and had an opportunity to show the younger staff what customer service should look like. She continually verbalized that things were taking a long time because they only had 4 people. In my experience, if staff are polite, many things can be excused such as a longer wait. I hope she can see how excuses get you nowhere but kindness goes a long way! read more

Excellent Subs and their soups are pretty damn good too the only problem is they take forever to make a sandwich any time I go there not sure if it's because they are just slow or are they new workers this is the second time in the last week I've been there and the same two boys were there tonight along with a girl but she was leaving like I said the food is always excellent it just takes way too long for one sandwich I'm talking over 15 minutes I was waiting for a medium sized sandwich it's on the menu so you would think they would know the sandwich and be able to make it quickly anyways if it wasn't for that meaning taking too long because I would never go there on a lunch hour as I would be afraid not to make it back in time I would give them a 5 but because of how long it takes (every single time) them to build a sandwich I'm going to give them a 4 other than that they are excellent their prices are a little high also! One other thing I did try the chili the other night I think they should maybe tell people how spicy it is it was terrible like so terrible probably the worst chili I've ever had I should have just went with a dumpling soup like she suggested anyway I really hope they fix this problem with how long it takes for people sandwiches to be made as I've been reading other people's complained about the same thing I also don't like that you can't see the making your sandwich either hope they get another one maybe in Moorhead we drive all the way from Sabin to get one and the last time I drove out I got all the way back home and my order was completely wrong as well nothing sucks worse than that I hope they can fix these minor problems I would be there once a week if they did read more

First time visit and each sub we selected was great. The brisket and cheddar sub was awesome with the BBQ sauce. Wife had the turkey and cranberry sub. The fresh warm buns were a great surprise. Not good at all. I ordered the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket today. The place has a lot of TVs and a freestyle coke machine which are the only benefits of this restaurant. I suppose they have to cover up for their food while I found very old tasting and the bread was stale. The tables were filthy and my wife and I could not find a clean table. We decided to leave and eat at home due to the awful condition of restaurant. When I went to this store when it first opened, it was very nice and the food was amazing. I stopped in to Firehouse subs with my girlfriend this past fall. I can't even remember what i had. All i remember was that it wasn't bad, but not great by any means. I discovered they have about 40 different kinds of hot sauces, which I feel a good portion of people miss as they never mentioned anything about it. The selection was almost overwhelming. How do you choose from 40 hot sauces when you haven't heard of 95% of them. Not real impressed. 3 stars. read more

Went in around 4. The service was great. Friendly and helpful. I had the meatball sub and it was amazing! Fiancée had Italian and thought it was sweeter than it should of tasted but he still enjoyed it. The most pleasurable was the conversation with the cashier and her friendliness. I was headed out the door to grab a bite to eat for lunch and a coworker invited me to hop in with him and head to Firehouse. On one hand, I am happy I did. On the other hand, I now have a new addiction to feed. Best damn sandwich I've had in a long time in Fargo! I like their Kings Hawaiian Pork and Slaw Sandwich. Its a tad bit pricey at over $7, but its a very tasty sandwich. Their other subs are good, though IMO nothing exceptional. But they're nice and big. One thing that I find odd is that on their website there are no prices listed for any of their subs and sandwiches. LOL. You'd expect to have that information available on their website, but as of writing this review, they are not. So they list their subs and whats on them, etc, but do not state what their prices are. Also other items in the restaurant itself do not have prices listed, for example the cookies and brownies placed right by the cash registers, again, no prices listed. Why is that? The restaurant itself is very clean and orderly and attractive. And every time I go in there there's a lot of staff working and cleaning, etc, and they greet you with a friendly smile and a hello, which is nice. read more
