Just wanted to write a warning to let people know who are getting pick up or to go orders to check your orders! I enjoy their knoephla soup, but I do not enjoy getting ripped off and served a bowl of broth. I stopped buying their buckets of soup because every time it was filled with broth with maybe only a handful of actual dumplings. Well, this time my husband picked me up a bowl of soup. I dumped it in a big bowl at home to warm it up and no joke 3 small dumplings at the bottom that was it, pretty disappointing when you pay for something and you feel like they got one over on you and was sold a bowl of broth. Krolls Famous Nnoephla soup = a bowl of broth buyer Be aware!

Kroll's Diner is comfort food heaven with a side of nostalgia! We dove into the pulled pork poutine (hello, cheesy gravy goodness), the sauerkraut fleischkuechle (say that three times fast), and a pot roast sandwich that tasted like grandma's Sunday dinner in sandwich form. Everything was so tasty. The retro diner atmosphere is cozy without trying too hard, the staff is on the ball, and the prices won't break your wallet. If you're hungry and want food that hugs you back, Kroll's is the place.

The most disgusting milkshake machine I have ever seen

We travel a lot and enjoy a good diner meal. I was intrigued to try Kroll's because of their stuffed cabbage and my husband was looking forward to liver and onions. We were "greeted" by a man that didn't speak, he held up his fingers and led us to a booth, I know he did have a voice because later on he huffed a helium balloon and was speaking with co-workers. My husband decided he wanted a milkshake until we looked over and observed the absolutely filthy machine. I thought surely something had happened causing the explosive mess and someone would come and clean it off, NO, they just kept using it as it was, I could barely order food wondering what the kitchen looked like. Then our waitress showed up, her work shirt was so absolutely filthy that I couldn't believe she was serving food. We honestly should have left at that point but we were hungry and not from the area so we went for it (no milkshake though, so gross) - food was ok, so covered in gravy and sauce it really was pretty tasteless, so disappointed in a place that I'm sure was once outstanding and now not so much. Do they have a restaurant inspector in Fargo? If so, they might want to make a visit soon

This soup was amazing. Knoephla is the name and it is so good.

Krolls was a great find. Our waitress Heather explained the best known items and made great suggestions. We loved it. Top notch service in a relaxed environment with amazing food!! We were in town for only a day but so glad we stopped. Great value too! Thanks Krolls, we tried 3 new things and loved them all!!!

Cute old fashioned diner. Walking in it looks straight out of back to the future. I was seated right away, next to the section that was closed off. Took a few mins to look at the menu and decided on a burger, fries and milkshake (save for after dinner and to go). Food came out pretty fast. Burger came with no condiments so I asked for mayonnaise. Forgot I was in the Midwest and what I got was miracle whip not mayo. I don't eat ketchup so on the miracle whip went to make my burger less dry. Other than the non mayo everything was good. Service was fast and accurate.

Neat little place! The German cuisine options were really neat and two entrees and a dessert didn't break our bank. Our server got the job done without hovering and it was honestly kind of fun to overhear the college aged employees talking and laughing and genuinely enjoying each other's company. My husband and I were torn between getting a milkshake or slice of pie to share but ultimately got the strawberry rhubarb pie which was delicious. We also would recommend the knoephla soup!

While in Fargo for work, I was told that I needed to try Knoephla soup. Kroll's Diner had a 50's diner vibe that was fun, the soup was delicious and I was super excited that they had strawberry rhubarb pie! I would definitely go back!

Great coffee for a diner.

Great atmosphere! Loved the old time 50's dinner look. Food was delicious to boot! Our server was very accommodating and friendly! Easy stop and not that far off of the interstate for travelers!

Don't let the outside fool you. I assumed from the exterior that this was a typical 50s diner with burgers, fries, and milkshakes. It is, but it has a hidden secret: authentic homemade German food! I stumbled across this place when I was looking for breakfast, and I was not disappointed. I had Clara's special with eggs, hashbrowns, and a choice of breads and meats. I chose the biscuits and gravy and the Polska kielbasa. Everything was so delicious! But I discovered, when looking at the menu, that they also offer German cuisine. I absolutely have to come back here for dinner and try all of these authentic dishes from my childhood! Highly recommend!

Quick service and decent food. I saw this place and decided to pop in. When I found out they made and served German food, I was even happier! I'll definitely eat here again!

It was between this place or perkins because nothing else was open, both open 24hrs. We were staying in fargo for the night and it was late when we got in. We had never been to or heard of Krolls so we said "why not!". It's a cute little 50's style diner with bright lights and booths for sitting. The hostess never said hi, he just put up two fingers and waved to follow him. No words said, all he said was the server will be with you shortly after he sat us. Lol that was weird. So we are already kinda weirded out. We look at the menu and had no idea it was German food. But hey you gotta try new things! They serve breakfast all night as well. I tried their "famous soup", Knoephla soup. No idea what it was but the menu said it was their famous dish so it's gotta be good. But hey, everyone has different taste buds and mine didn't like the soup. I had wished the soup was a thicker consistency, instead it was a water consistency. The taste just wasn't right either. Their chicken nuggies were good though. I felt like this would be a great place for younger people to go to late at night, because they are so cheap and not the greatest food. Good drunk night food.

We had a large group, but didn't wait too long to be seated. An extensive breakfast menu suited everyone.
