I have had many of the sandwiches - chicken cordon bleu, chicken junction, cajun ranch chicken - BUT my go-to since it came on the menu is the BRICKHOUSE. MY GOODNESS GJ never fails me on this sandwich. I get it with steak, and I add green peppers. JUICY, FLAVORFUL, WELL SAUCED, FILLING - I can't tell you how much I love this sandwich, paired with their perfectly chewy bread, literally chef's kiss. I always get it with the cajun fries and a dr pepper. I am now 18 weeks pregnant, and this has also been a consistent craving of mine.. I have eaten it every day for dinner the last 2 weeks nearly. I have been using doordash (which I was pretty skeptical of since DD is hit or miss if it shows up in tact, or is still fresh - because let's face it some of the dashers are careless and it can take up to an hour to get your food) but even my DD orders have shown up beautiful and delicious still and not soggy at all. Since coming under new ownership, I can totally tell a difference in the hospitality and customer service. Right when I walked in I was greeted and asked how I was doing and how my day was going. The new owner was out wiping everything down, which is a plus especially with everything going on in the world. I was a frequent flyer for years. Recently returned to see some new additions on the menu and was excited to try them. I had no idea that it would take 50 minutes to get the sandwich. The staff seems like they have their priorities a bit mixed having conversations on the line about a complaint about a fingernail in someone's sandwich which moved directly to one employee insisting the other employee go and have a cigarette break while no fewer than a dozen people waited in line (didn't wash up in the line sink either after the smoke, just straight for the gloves - the line hadn't moved). Each person in line, those who didn't abandon the effort after wasting their entire lunch break, was then asked to recount their order no fewer than three times by multiple employees because the line took no notes. The sandwich was good, a little less full than I remember. The fries were well under done and over seasoned. For years I ate here. Now, after that debacle and a frustrating and questionable experience, it'll likely be years until I return. read more

This is the BEST Grand Junction in the Fargo-Moorhead area. They have the best customer service, the best line setup and they have make the best fries. I tell everyone who wants a delicious lunch to try this place. The price doesn't break the bank, but you get a whole lot of fresh food for what you pay. If you or someone in your group is vegetarian, they have an amazing veggie supreme sandwich and everything else - so groups can easily find a little something for everyone. Be prepared to wait during the busy hours (11:45 - 1:00 and 5:00-6:30), but the longest I have ever stood there is 10 minutes, so a little patience pays off when you bite into that delicious hot sub. Definitely a bomb sandwich. I recently ordered the philly, although I had heard it can be dry. I thought mine was pretty saucey and super delicious. The chicken ones are great too. Love the fries too. I wish they added that yummy cajun season to those fries- that would be mind blowing. I order the medium and I couldn't even finish it- so much food. The staff is fast and nice. The line goes quick enough and it doesn't take too long to get the food and the food is always fresh and yummy. New management has made this a joke. 3 trips up here since my review, not one has it been ok since. Between lack of meat on the sandwiches, wrong orders handed to us and the overall lack of communication between the staff to get any order right, it's now on my skip list. Take for example right now, just got the wrong sandwich 3 times, fiance got the wrong one twice and then an incorrectly made one and I didn't get my choice of veggies which makes me think I got someone else's. Grand Junction is one of my very favorite restaurants, and the Moorhead store is my favorite of all the F-M locations. This store may be the smallest and least fancy location, but it has the most charm, in my book! They always have a very friendly and capable staff, everything is fresh & made-to-order (they have never once screwed up my picky "no-mayo, anti-vegetable, hold-the-whatever" requests!) I simply cannot leave there without consuming 3 giant potatoes' worth of their hand-cut fries (LOVE) and am addicted to their Chicken Cordon Bleu sub. My kids love it too (they have great kids meals, though my kids tend to order a medium special and split it between them). We can feed our entire family of 5 for a very fair price! read more

The man and I decided to get take away tonight to let me test out GJ's Cheese Steak since I've been jonesin' for some Woody's from back home. The service was outstanding and the guys working the counter couldn't be any nicer. I ordered the cheese steak and The Man ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich. We also decided to split an order of fries, since The Man was singing their praises so highly. After waiting for the line jumper who stepped in front of us to order and get her take away meal, we got our bag loaded with goodies and headed home; all in under 10 mins. I will say this: this place has excellent potential for being one of my favourite joints if minimal effort were to be applied to two things: one- the fries were hella over cooked; nearly burned to be precise. I am sure GJ's fries are extremely tasty, cause apparently they are hand cut and fried to order, but our order was unfortunately no good. The second issue would be the lack of seasoning to the meat while it is cooking. Now don't get me wrong, the meat GJ's uses is high quality and extremely fresh and that is wonderful-- but I don't know, maybe it is a midwestern thing-- but does everything have to be so bland up here? I'm not talking Louisiana hot, y'all, but a bit of seasoning salt wouldn't hurt things. With that being said, the bread was fantastic, the sauces for the fries were amazing, (honey mustard and ranch-- YUM!) and the cookie we got was the size of our son's head and so fresh you'd think they had a little granny tied up out back churning these puppies out.
