However, my last visit has left me with a bill over $1000. The doctor told me they didn't have the equipment needed to assess my symptoms. She said they have an ER a few minutes away that did and promised a 5-min wait to get in. Sounds great, but do they take my insurance? She says she will check. I tell her my insurance notes it isn't accepted at some free-standing ERs- I need to know if I'm better going to Henderson Hospital ER. She returns and says I'm all good and they are expecting me at the ER at Boulders Edge. Upon arrival I am immediately taken back and put in a bed. People start coming in immediately, and start asking me questions and prepping me for tests. Things move really fast, which I'm thankful for in the moment. The whole experience is a whirlwind and ultimately they cannot diagnose what came in for and they referred me to a specialist. Within 24 hours, I get a text message telling me to pay $500. I wait, because my insurance says hospital visits should be $350. A couple weeks later I get a bill for almost $800. My insurance confirms this was not an approved location. I then received additional bills for lab work and physician services, bringing the total to over $1000. I wanted to share this experience as a warning to those that find themselves in this situation. Turns out the recommended was too good to be true and now I'm stuck paying for it.

Then she doesn't even take my wife's name. No sign in sheet. We waited a bit. Nothing happening. The ER has no sign on life, so we just left and will return during regular business hours another day. It truly worries me to live in a small bumpkin town where their ER is a ghost town and proves to be useless, unprofessional, and ineffective. Who the hell is running this skip-shot operation that calls themselves a medical service? I cannot imagine walking into this place with a heart attack. Such an embarrassment.

They were caring and I felt I was receiving excellent care. I was in the emergency room longer than I would have liked but I understand that they had to do several different tests hours apart. During and after these tests, the doctor kept me informed on what was going on and what to expect. I thought she provided excellent service as well. Even more impressive was she called me the following day to see how I was doing. If I need hospital care again, I know Henderson Hospital would be my first chose.

The nurse tells me that I will continue to cry until I quit moving. My pain level was 10+, agony. She said that she can give one pain pill, than sat in front of her computer without another word. Now I am taken to my room, still crying in pain. Nurses get me settled in. I noticed that my bed is inflating and deflating and every time it does that, excruciating pain. The nurses come back in an hour for a check, I asked them to please turn the mechanism off that is making the bed do this. So the nurse it pushes some button and leaves. Lo and behold, the bed is still doing this. Another person comes in and I tell them the same thing, they push some buttons and leave, again the bed is still inflating and deflating. This cycle goes on from 3 in the afternoon until 9:30, I ask every person that comes into my room to please fix my bed. At this point I am thinking that they're just sadistic and enjoy seeing patients in pain. I was already in pain from the surgery and then they caused me more for 6 1/2 hours. The nurse in charge that evening said that she would have her manager or supervisor come talk to me, no one ever showed up. They finally replaced the bed. The nurses during the day were also an hour to almost 2 hours late, giving me my pain medication. My pain never went away during the day. I cried non stop from the time I woke up from surgery about noon until 2am, the next day. During the day, I also rang a nurse because I had to go to the bathroom. It took them 45 minutes to come help me. By the time a nurse got to my room and assisted me getting up, I peed all the way to the bathroom. How humiliating! Since the manager or supervisor never came to my room so that I could voice my complaints, Henderson Hospital has given me no choice but to air my grievances here. What a miserable stay, I cannot wait to go home.

He was professional, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable from start to finish. Communication was clear and he took the time to explain everything considering my boyfriend has a hard time with needles.
