Have been to this location at least 10x. Try to give it the benefit of the doubt every time but always leave feeling disappointed. Although expensive, Food is great but customer service is horrible. The same man who is always there is far from welcoming or polite. Its almost uncomfortable ordering and waiting for your food and the lady cooking in the background always has a look of discontent that transmits throughout the space. Honestly life is complicated enough these days. So it would be refreshing if going to pick up food wasn't so uncomfortable. Been here plenty of times for their Epic Fries, unfortunately though, the quality of the food has been quite inconsistent. There's been times I ordered my epic fries with the seasoning I want and most of the time, it becomes either really salty or just under-seasoned. Epic wings is not just a clever name, its an accurate description of the food and service. I recently visited your store at the Plaza for the first time and completely enjoyed my experience. I dined outside and the waitress Alexis was very prompt in bringing our food too us with a smile and very courteous. She noticed we hadn't gotten napkins and promptly brought us some. The night staff is completely unprofessional. I was just in to pick up my order and the girl that was working the cash register told me that my order was not ready I saw the bag that they later handed me telling me that was my order sitting on the counter. They kept yelling that the bread was not ready. When I got home which I live five minutes away from this restaurant my wings and fries were cold but the bread was super hot. My wife and I drive a good 30-40 mins to get some epic wings since growing up with them in Oceanside, we usually place our order on the drive in to pick them up fresh and use the drive Time there for no delay.. as soon as we are about 20 mins out we call and place our order that's usually always well over $40. We where placed on hold and waiting for a very long time about 20 minutes or so.. so my wife decides to call from her cell phone as I waited on hold on mine. She was also placed on hold... so after my wife was hung after 15 minutes she called again to be put on hold for another 10 minutes as I waited on hold as well this Whole time. After 30+ minutes we arrived at store still being on hold, we walked in only to find the store completely empty with no customers, me and the wife thinking maybe they are busy... found that employees where in the back having a good ol time. As we walked in I was greeted and before I placed my order I asked if they had been busy they said just a bit and mentioned if they wanted to take my order over the phone since my wife and I where still on hold. Guess they did not want the business. So after many years of visiting and enjoying every single wings and things in souther California and now known as Epic. I've been to Epic Wings a couple of times since it opened in the Plaza. We went in tonight and ordered and the girl who took our order was very nice. We got our food and went home. I will take some blame here because I didn't have my son check our bag. When we got home his fries were missing. I went back to the store to get them and the girl at the counter told me she put them in the bag over and over again. Even though I knew she hadn't. She finally agreed to remake them. When I went in to get them she told me that the manager watched their video and I had picked up the fries. I didn't pick up the order my son did. They are epically gross! And I'm not super picky. First of all the place smelled all musty inside, there was a giant cockroach right outside in their patio area, so I was already grossed out, but I had already ordered since there was no one in line so I felt I had to order at this point. Was hoping it would still be good. First thing when I opened my bag I saw the little container that was supposed to be my blue cheese dressing, and I literally had to say out loud what the heck is this!!! It looked like vomited blue cheese or like it's been sitting out for a few weeks, then I opened and smelled so bad! I immediately threw away. I used ranch I had at home. By this point I was afraid to eat the wings. Opened them up, looked pretty unappetizing. But proceeded to taste. Long story short was so blah. No crisp and texture was weird. I ate 1 1/2 pieces since I just wasted $9 Thank goodness you can't mess up carrots and celery. That's what I ended up eating. Also bread sticks. Thank goodness that was filling. Anyway one and done!
