I was deciding on lunch with the fam and my aunt recommended SoCal Wings. After browsing their…read moremenu, I was sold and placed a phone order. Our order consisted of four SoCal fries (which are basically buffalo fries from The Buffalo Spot with a drizzle of cheese and ranch), a 10-piece nugget, a small fry, a large order of mozzarella sticks, a Thai tea, and a few sides of sauces. To speak bluntly, the experience turned sour for me as soon as I started placing my phone order. While I was ordering sauces, I was rudely cut off by the man working: "Yeah, yeah, anything else?" I felt like I was being rushed off the phone, even after mentioning it was my first time ordering and kindly asking questions about their sauces. The customer service here just overall gave me the ick. Anyways, onto the food. I was super excited for my SoCal fries. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, and I opted for the spicy BBQ. On first impression I was surprised with the generous portions. I ordered a small Socal fries that looked more like a medium. As soon as I dug into my meal, I was met with immediate disappointment; the popcorn chicken on my SoCal fries was extremely stale. It tasted as if they served us three-day-old fried chicken that had been left sitting out. My siblings and mom also agreed the chicken was super hard. I ended up just eating some of the fries and threw the rest away. Before tossing it, I tried drenching the fries in their Cajun sauce (which is over $1 per sauce, btw), and even though I really wanted to like it, it had a weird aftertaste. On top of that, I just couldn't get past how hard the chicken was. The Thai tea, fries, and mozzarella sticks were just decent. I'd also like to mention that when I was placing my order over the phone, the man said my total was $67 and some change. When I paid in person, the total somehow jumped to $83.69. I assumed that included the Cajun sauces I ordered over the phone, but it actually didn't. I ended up paying a second transaction for the sauces, which was around $8. Had I possibly been charged for the side of attitude I was also served? To reiterate: the service here sucks. Overall, I won't be back as the quality doesn't match prices. You'd think that a joint that specializes in fried chicken and wings would serve fresh chicken but on the contrary, my chicken was inedible, gross, and clearly old. I love supporting local businesses, but I refuse to support a place that exhibits rude customer service and serves subpar frozen food that I could throw together at home. I don't recommend this spot as there are much better establishments in the area.

Cambodian Dirt is easily my favorite flavor. It's incredibly flavorful and the seasoning works so well with how crispy the wings are. The staff is also so generous. Every time we've been here, we've somehow ended up with a few extra wings beyond what we ordered. They really don't skimp on the portions, and it's something we always appreciate. Absolutely love Shlap Muan. Whether we're dining in or getting takeout, the wings have been consistently great. Definitely one of my favorite wing spots and somewhere I'd recommend giving a try!

So first thing's first... we came 30 min before close so some items I wanna try were out of stock. So we made it work. Got 18 wings and side of fries we also tried the lemongrass ranch. Customer service was great they were gracious enough to accommodate us and allow us to sit and eat although they had already began putting up tables and chairs. We tried the dirty Elvis wings and that's by far my fave flavor of the night. Sticky caramel with a hint of smokiness and spice. We also got the Cambodian Dirty wings which is their spin on lemon pepper. Those were also delicious .. crispy and cooked to perfection. The last flavor we tried was the sweet and spicy garlic. And tbh those were underwhelming. Tasted like sweet n sour sauce with garlic. Nothing special about them to us. The lemongrass ranch was tasty and paired well with the Cambodian dirty wings which but I don't have to order it again. Next visit I definitely plan on grabbing the fried rice and/or the garlic noodles and trying the orange habanero wings. Real casual vibe. Nice staff. Good food. Can't wait to return. But get there earlier in the day to have more options on flavors and sides.

The girl at the register was friendly & attentive. It wasn't busy at the time because it was a weekday around 4p. I was surprised how good the pizza was. This isn't a thin crust wood fired oven style pizza. Wedges were crispy and large portion size too. Loved the self serve drink fountain as many places don't offer them anymore. There is plenty of parking. There is a small dine in area with maybe 6-8 tables, but I think many people order to go. The staff are soooooooo nice. They take the time to ask her preferences and encourage me to be adventurous like giving me a side of the spicy sauce that I was initially hesitant to try. (the spicy sauce is definitely on the more spicy side, but just shy of covering up all other flavor) Ordering ahead on the phone is pretty easy since they don't have a super extensive menu. If you are in a hurry and you are ordering wings, all ahead. The wings are made to order and they come out so crispy and so juicy (but hot!). Some wings you get for the combo of the sauce and the chicken, these ones I find myself ordering the crispy original because I get to savor the crunchy with the beautiful umami of the chicken and it is not at all bland. If you order when you arrive, the kimbap is ready in about 5 minutes, but the chicken take maybe another 5-10 mins. Last time I went I also got kimchi fried rice (literally didn't know it was on the menu because I have tunnel vision on the wings). It's a smaller portion than some, but the flavor was so big (rich flavor and spicier than most I've tried). It was the perfect dish for being sated but not overstuffed. I'm definitely working that into the rotation of my order (wings plus one other thing ) in the future!

If there are signs, I don't know because I chose to park in a metered space and managed time via the app (Passport Parking). Service was great. The team - I say team because several staff members were on the floor and they worked together with orders, following up and even changing the games on a TV for me so I was craning my neck to watch. Appreciated it big time. Then the food - I liked it but didn't love it. Here's my take - it was bready or doughy but I prefer more flaky. The sauce for me I like sweeter - but on that it's probably because I'm used to sauce being covered by cheese and toppings. But I did like it. I'd go back and have it again. I just have to get it out of my head that every place is different and going in with expectations thinking I was gonna have what I had when in Chicago is on me. It's an open restaurant with communal seating (bar height) in the middle with lower tables on the outside, speaking of - a few tables outside as well. TVs all around. Here you actually have an option to sit at some tables. Decided to snack a little before packing the rest home. The fish is freshly made to order. Seasoned very well, tartar sauce definitely complimented it. The fries were cooked fresh and decently filled to the brim of the bag. The chicken was big let down. The wing was the first piece grabbed out the bag and the temperature wasn't there. No juice, just luke warm dried meat. The second piece I grabbed was the drumstick and again temperature was off. No juice or no steam. It didn't feel like these pieces were under any heat lamps. Felt left out as each piece eaten didn't really have any residual heat. 3rd piece I grabbed was the thigh which I mistook for a breast because it was bigger in size. After positioning in eat mode I decided to pack the rest home instead because the chicken wasn't hot enough. Funny thing is after 1 hour drive my chicken breast piece had some retained heat. Little did I realize the stellar fries kept the breast warm. Shame on this place ... even KFC is enjoyable once order is secured. Their hot sauce packed in cups were good Hopefully they work on the their chicken game because it's comical that their fish outshined the chicken.
