I really wanted to love this place - it's just a few blocks away and would be so convenient! Tried it a few years ago and the tech did suck a horrific job taking my gel off that my nails were paper thin and would barely grow for over a year, but years later, decided to give it a 2nd chance. Let me preface this by saying the man who did my nails was SO nice! Very sweet guy but I got the impression he was never formally trained. Cut my toes twice with the nail file, used the callous remover on my feet with no lotion or anything, the 6 minute leg massage I was paying for was just under 4 minutes (yes, I timed it out of curiosity! Lol!). But worst of all, my nails just looked a mess upon completion. I nicely called it out and he insisted they'd clean up after a shower, but took a little time to clean it up, too. I'm think the photos (taken AFTER he "cleaned them up") speak for themselves. So now, $40 later, I've got to go out of state for my son's wedding looking like a 3rd grader did my toes. I got my nails done yesterday and I am highly disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone! I went in for a gel x fill on my nails and the technician was going to do gel x until the owner stepped in and told my technician to do acrylic which is not at all what I wanted. The owner shouldn't have even done that when I am paying for I am getting. The cost ($65) was not worth what I got and the technician obviously needs more training. My nails are not evenly shaped and the nail polish was done badly too. I am afraid the polish will come off and that my gel x has been ruined because I the customer did not get the right fill I asked for because of the owner. I would recommend people to go somewhere else for their nail appointments. read more

Came here today with my mom for pedicures. We made an appointment for 12PM. Didn't get seated for 10 minutes and then we didn't get taken care of until about 12:35. No point in making appointments if you're going to be that late. The gal I had, Wendy was not personable at all. When my nails were drying she kept picking at my big toe and then eventually I said "ow" and then all of a sudden my skin was bleeding. It was a big cut. The worst part is she didn't even say sorry. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and wanted to enjoy my expensive pedicure, but couldn't because of that. I know accidents happen, but at least be apologetic about it. She also did not paint my pinky toe & I didn't notice until this morning... very disappointed as I live 24 minutes away from this nail salon & don't feel like going all the way back for their mistake. read more

I went in for a set of Gel X yesterday. I had previously booked an appointment but did not receive service from the requested technician. My nails weren't prepped properly, no dehydrator or primer, and the color I received was not what I had asked for. It didn't seem like the technician knew how to accomplish what I was asking for. I ended up paying $90 for something I was not happy with and went home and immediately removed the color and repainted. I don't think I'll be back. read more

First time in and I've found my new nail place! They know how to do it! Not only does my mani/pedi look great- the techs were very friendly. The owner (or manager- not sure) is so fun and nice and walks around talking to everyone. They have a bar and serve drinks for free (just tip the server) and have a "happy hour" every day with a fun drink- it was Watermelon martini when I went in. I would rather drive 45 minutes to get my nails done then go to this place. First off I came in no appointment. I asked if I could get a set off. I came in 20 minutes after they opened so it was 9:20 AM. they didn't get done with me until 10:20 AM When I told them I had places to be and it was OK if they couldn't squeeze me in they said they could well they were clearly wrong. Not only did they charge me $15.44 to remove a full set of nails they cut me Four different times and each finger bled. Overall, very poor experience. Waited 45 mins past my appointment time, did not get requested technician. my service was interrupted multiple times to answer phones and help other clients. Worst manicure I have ever had- old gel was taken off with electric file and not soaked- nails are paper thin now. Cuticles were not trimmed of dead skin. Polish sloppy, uneven and all over skin. so very disappointed . Will be visiting another spa tomorrow to try to correct it. read more

My fiancé went in because her regular place The Nail Spa was closed and she says they're spectacular. But The Epic Nail Bar was open and she thought she'd try them. Huge mistake. She was going in for dip nails, she told them not to have shorter nails. They moved her to three different stations and they kept switching the person doing her nails. The last guy completely messed her nails up because he had no idea what he was doing. Unsanitary and shaped her nails all differently. Would not recommend that place to anyone. read more

I just want to share the worst nail experience I have ever had. My husband and I went to have pedicure's. He had a manicure and I needed a dip. My husband's experience was alright but mine was a different story. My pedi was alright, I haveq had worse. When I got home I saw that he did not put top coat on 4 of my toes. I ask for a French dip and the gentlemen who did them really had no idea how to do one. Finally he had another gentlemen help him. Out of 10 fingers I have 7 cuticles that were cut with the drill. After 3 hours I walked out with nails that will have to be redone once my cuticles heal. My total bill was 176.00 dollars. I will not be back of course but wanted to share my experience so if you are looking for a nail spa, you might want to skip this one. read more

Do NOT go to Epic. Had a horrible experience. Made an appt at 11 am for a dip. Owners son talked me into something "that was better for my nails" He had so much glue on my nail that I showed others in the salon and he gad to take it all back off. He then did the dip I asked for. I picked a wine color and it stained my fingers. I asked him to clean it up and he did a small amount of acetone then told me the rest should come off in the shower.. umm what? I asked for a discount at checkout and was refused. Nails look awful and they charged me $60! I was there for 2 hours on a Saturday....grrr!! Awful nail salon! read more

I have been going to Epic nails for years. I took my daughter for pedicures- walk -ins welcome. I was told they couldn't get us in. If they were really busy I would understand. I had the worst pedicure of my life here yesterday. The nail tech didnt wear gloves, she also got SO much paint on my SKIN and NOT my nails. I asked to speak with a manager and pointed out how poorly my toe nails were painted. She agreed and said she would re-do them, which she did.... they still looked awful but I just wanted to get out of there. She said "it's a little better".... she used her fingernails to ROUGHLY pound/ spread some nail polish remover where needed. Most salons use a brush for this.... I really wanted to like this nail salon, as I live in Windsor and we need a good salon here, but I will not be retuning. I have no idea how this place has any customers. read more

BUT I left with many bloody cuticles, this was painful for many days following and isn't sanitary. I wish she'd been careful with my cuticle area. The front desk staff was very friendly. I didn't want a massage but really wanted them to work on my calluses and cuticles. As you can see in the picture my calluses are still there. I'm literally sitting in the establishment right now, looking over my feet. I would not recommend going to this nail place if you have bad calluses like mine, as they will still be there when you leave. I really wanted this to be a great place to go...not for me. read more

Yesterday I felt I really needed a pedicure because it had been a long time since my last. I dropped in to this business and was surprised at all the pedicure chair stations. The elder lady at the desk said I could have a pedicure now. I followed her to a chair, my tub was filled by a young male attendant who I thought was the pedicurista. No, that's all he does. I thought how elegant. The same elder lady sits down and hands me the menu. I say only a basic. She proceeds and makes comments and facial gestures as she works on my toes. Yes, I know I have problems but that's why I get pedicures. She tries to upswell me on other treatments but I say just the basic.
