We have eaten here once and done take out quite a few times in the last two months. The food is generally good, though I really feel like they skimp on sauces and "extras." The gyro sandwich was good but I've literally never received one without tzatziki sauce on the side. There was maybe, maybe a teaspoon spread on the pita but it was very dry. The buffalo chicken inside out was tasty but again, missing sauce. It had NO buffalo flavor. No napkins or silverware or pizza sauce or dipping sauce. Maybe because that's all I had to eat today, but I for one believe it was because of how well it was prepared. Food has always tasted great, good selection and having the option of beer is always a plus! They've got a pretty young and inexperienced staff but they all look like they're trying to work hard and always apologize for mistakes. Looks like there's a party room upstairs! I have never eaten here always got take out so I can't speak to the ambiance but the food is delicious. I always get the veggie pizza. It is always perfect crisp bread topped with light sauce and a host of veggies then cheese. Baked to a perfect ooie gooie crunchy bite every time. And they make the best fries ever!! read more

The inside out Pizza is a fun concept. This is all I have had here but I really enjoyed it. I've tried the Buffalo chicken as well as the barbecue chicken. Both are delicious but I think my favorite would have to be the Buffalo chicken. It is filled with so much cheese and blue cheese anf the big chunks of chicken. It packs a kick as well! read more

Don't know how you don't rate this Delco institution a 5. Ranks up there with Charlie's and Bernie's. Yes its deep fried dough with pizza sauce and cheese on the inside but its freakin awesome. My family gets pizza from here pretty often, and it's really good, but I always hear people talking about the inside outs. I have a friend that doesn't even live in the area, but goes out of his way pretty often to get an inside out from here. My boyfriend and I decided to check them out then! We both got the buffalo chicken inside out, and they were amazing! We are already talking about going back again next weekend to try the other kinds. Food is usually good but I would not eat in at this place! I've had their food a few times, using both delivery and eating in. Never had an issue with the pick-up/ delivery but the eating in service is awful!! Found a hair in my food and they were completely rude. The employees do not explain you need to order at the counter and are disrespectful when you ask simple questions, such as- do you know if my drink is on the way.. bad experience with the staff there!! read more

This has become our go-to pizza location in Media. The Greek pizza is AMAZING when done right. We always order the extra-large size, which seems to be equivalent to other locations' larges. We love the boneless wings, but have to dock a star; everyone we order them extra crispy, you can never tell. They have a solid 6-pack beer selection, a nice eating area, and generally quick service. One of the best pizza shops to deal with in the Media area. I work at a local business where we have a lot of limitations and Double decker Media always is accommodating to us. They generally always get the list we give them correct and almost never are missing anything. They have great food. Home of the original inside out!! Salads are always packed with fresh ingredients and there soup is amazing !!! I wish they had soup all year but seriously try it .. You won't be disappointed. I see a lot of positive reviews that are only given 4 stars. I rarely, and I mean RARELY, leave a review for something. If it's good or bad, I usually go by word of mouth and trust others on their input for different establishments. But i recently moved to media this month, and have been trying different eateries to see who my "go to" will be when I don't feel like cooking after work, and so far Double Decker has taken the cake. I ordered a large Double Decker Mushroom and Black Olive pizza along with broccoli bites. My boyfriend is a vegetarian, which also makes me a vegetarian (pulp fiction reference) which is why I didn't try any meat options my first time trying this place out so we could both see if we liked it or not. I placed my order at 6pm and scheduled it to be picked up between 8-8:15pm ( I chose to pick it up late because I work out of the area and didn't want to try and place an order while on the turnpike) I fully expected my order to be sent to the kitchen at 6pm when I originally ordered, and expected to have to reheat it when I got home. Not even close. I walked into the shop just before 8pm and my pizza box was hot to the touch and my broccoli bites felt like they just came out of the fryer. After my 8 minute commute home, and after unwinding after a long day, I fixed myself a plate of the food i ordered, and it was excellent. Broccoli bites are out of this world, and the pizza was excellent! I will be ordering from here on my diet cheat days quite often. Keep up the great work! read more

Food arrived quickly and still hot, however I would be hesitant to order again due to the delivery driver called me to meet him in the lobby of the office building to pick up my food. We order delivery several times per week in our office and never have I had to pick up my own food from the lobby. If I were to order again, I might as well pick it up myself. whoever is taking orders here by phone, which includes the "manager (so he said)" i just spoke to an hour ago, during this pandemic, needs to learn how to ask the right questions to their customers, especially when dealing with a new delivery customer. if it were not for the so called "manager" i spoke with on the phone just now, i would not be writing this poor review. so unfortunately between my experience today with being argued with and no immediate recompense to the issue, (i had to request an apology) obviously not considering your customer enough, and the other day when i did a pick up order, there was a large wolf spider in my bag. look before you place anything in a bag! not something you want to bring into your house and see lurking around your food! don't think i'll be ordering from here again any time soon, if ever. i called with an apparent issue today, and instead of immediately responding in a courteous way to help rectify the issue, the "manager" (so he says) proceeded to be somewhat sarcastic and argue with me while trying to place the issue i had with their current delivery style, on me. this issue is about not leaving your customers food on the ground. this business is obviously going to great extents to "protect" their employees because of this virus, but what about also considering your customers on this aspect? by not leaving their food on the ground where people walk. to boot, i have a wall right next to the front steps, and there's a table out there!! and before making delivery make sure you ask where an appropriate place is to leave it since you guys are obviously being so paranoid about the virus (besides on the ground/steps), especially when you should know the delivery is not a familiar one, since it was the first time i ever called here for delivery. not to mention, there's way too much cheese in everything i've bought from here so far over the past year, per ratio of meat, but prices are still up there with the places who offer a better balance. third time i've bought something with meat from her, and there's not much meat, but overpowering cheese. talk about cholesterol city heart attack waiting to happen. cheese flavor is not everything. learn to cook! * this issue is not about money, but something a bit more important- good vs bad customer service skills! read more

I ordered mozzarella sticks for take out that come with a side of marinara(pizza sauce) for dipping and the sauce was FREEZING cold like it just came out of the freezer. I took it back in and asked for another and the girl gave me the same thing again and told me that is the way it comes! I've eaten from here just twice now. They have pretty good "inside-out pizzas" as they call them. They are kind of a large pizza hot pocket filled with whatever you want. They bake or fry them and both options are pretty good. Their food in general is average for a pizza shop, but they do have a large seating area if you're looking to dine in. The last time I went I merely asked if their mushrooms are canned, because canned mushrooms are disgusting, and the worker got super annoyed at me when responding that they were. I loved Double Decker Pizza until a few weeks ago when we went there right before closing hours. The restaurant lights were on, the doors were unlocked, and there were plenty of people still working. Their pizza isn't my favorite, but my husband grew up on Double Decker and so we order from DD on a regular basis. Inside outs are a staple in our family and they are delicious. Their customer service can't be beat. They have a great online ordering system and 99% of the time deliver it slightly earlier than scheduled. Was very upset with the manager at the Media location. Our local team reserved a room weeks ago for a party. Three days before the party they called and said we need to share the room with another party or pay $100. None of this was told to us when we reserved the room. The team decided to pay the money, but when we showed up the manger said that it would now be $100 an hour. If a business wants to charge these fees that's fine but they need to give the info out before someone books a room. Not try to get money from a bunch of 9 year olds. read more
