My thing is, how are you a Pennsylvania establishment, close off to Philly, yet you can't make a Philly cheese steak properly? That's a whole embarrassment. I don't see this to ever be a thriving business. Portions are weak, flavor isn't there and overall an experience you want to put behind you. My boyfriend and I love dive bars, so moving here we were super excited to find this spot. Once we happily moved they continued to talk about us one seat away WITH the bartender as if we had any idea there was assigned seats. The second two times I came here with friends that were visiting, the bartender did not acknowledge us at first and once she did she showed complete annoyance. Every time I've come and had a bad experience it's the bartender with the red hair. The fish & chips plate is respectable; has 3 good-sized fillets with a nice rémoulade sauce. I found the caesar salad to be decent and when requested that dressing and cheese come on the side, it was no problem. The famous kennett square mushroom soup is too intense. As far as the croissants was concerned, some tasted like it was stale. The pork schnitzel (4/5) entrée was pretty good. I didn't care for the sausage and gravy topping though. Would've been better without it. Anyway, the mashed potatoes were creamy, buttery, and airy. The greens were garlicky and kind of salty. Grilled chicken Caesar (2.5/5) salad was okay. The dressing lacked in a lot of ways. More citrusy and less saltiness from anchovies. The mushroom bisque was a little grainy. Would I care for coming back? Maybe. Not anytime soon though.
