I'm definitely a coffee drinker, so I'll have to come back and try their black drip coffee, which is what I usually get at a coffee shop when I'm getting coffee. We were doing an Apple Maps search for coffee shops around and had never tried here before, so we gave it a chance. It was a bit hard to find and is tucked away, so keep your eyes peeled when trying to find it and find parking. Another thing to note, there isn't too much free parking near it. If you're looking for free parking, the closest might be to park at the McDonald's and walk. When you get to the quaint little coffee shop, it gives the small town feel of a common local place for regulars to go back to, work at, or visit with friends. I particularly liked the organized menu and the friendly workers. I also liked that it wasn't super busy so I didn't feel rushed into making any decisions. I tried their Pumpkin Head Zombie which was described to me as a white mocha with pumpkin syrup and spice and a little less coffee taste, which had me excited. Although, I barely got any coffee taste at all, which was a bit of a bummer. Still good though and I drank it all. My friend got a strawberry matcha and said she enjoyed it. There was a quiet back room with more seating which allowed us to talk more freely so as to not disturb the people working in the main area. They also had some cute and some artistic halloween decorations up for the season which was fun. Overall, I would go back to try another drink and might recommend it to friends. It was reasonably priced for a coffee nowadays. It was a nice, clean spot that keeps you in Broad Ripple but away from the busy main strip. The workers are helpful and patient, which made us more comfortable. Their seasonal flavors also seemed right on theme for fall, which always makes my heart happy. I had my eye on a maple flavored cold brew or another seasonal apple drink for my next visit. For someone looking for a quiet, relaxed, classic coffee shop atmosphere, this would be the place for you.

I ended up pitching the drink after a few sips, which was especially disappointing considering it cost $12. While walking around the farmers market, I noticed that most of the coffees from Rose & Lois had that same very light color, which made me wonder if I just caught an off day or if this is typical. My first time having Rose & Lois, it was definitely on the lighter side but I could still taste the flavors of espresso & syrups of my choosing. But the moment I spotted the 32 oz coffee bucket...I was sold. I've been searching for a coffee shop that serves coffee buckets, so this instantly became a must-order. Not only was the bucket such a fun experience, but the coffee itself was perfectly balanced despite the larger size. Plus, I was thrilled to take the bucket home--I already know I'll be reusing it! I can't wait to come back and work my way through the seasonal menu. The atmosphere is just as impressive as the coffee. From the relaxed, cozy vibe to the fun Star Wars theme, it's a place that's easy to love. The service was phenomenal, and I only wish I lived closer because this would absolutely become one of my regular coffee stops. Grab a seat by the windows and you'll have a front-row view of the city walking by while you sip your coffee. I grabbed a cup of their Santa Lucia, picked up a bottle of Topo Chico (bonus points for opening it for me), and couldn't leave without taking home a bag of ARC whole beans. They'll even grind your beans for free if you need them ready for your brewing method at home--a small touch that's always appreciated. The bakery case also deserves a warning label because saying "I'll just have coffee" becomes significantly more difficult once you're standing in front of it. The atmosphere was exactly what I look for in a neighborhood coffee shop: friendly staff, people working on laptops, quiet conversations, and a relaxed pace that makes it easy to lose track of time.
