Our dinner plans fell through so we found Epic Burger while walking through South Loop. Our experience was great! Heaven took our order and was very polite (and patient as we were making up our minds). We waited maybe 10 minutes for our order for 6 people and Jonathan brought it out personally, and offered many apologies for the wait. He was apologetic and explained that they weren't expecting be so busy on a Thursday night. He was very accommodating, helpful, and personable. He visited with every table to check on the customers, chat with them, and make sure everything was good. The food came out and was delicious. (Shout-out to Antonio on the grill). The restaurant was clean, and Heaven was making sure to keep the tables clean when there weren't customers at the register. My friend invited me out for lunch, and I'm so glad she did because this food was SO good! Not everyone can make a good turkey burger, but they definitely got it right. It was well-seasoned, flavorful, and still juicy. The Cajun fries had the perfect kick, and the garlic parmesan fries were packed with flavor. My wife and I are from L.A and we are staying around the corner and someone was talking about Epic Burger. We decided to try it because why not it said Epic. Walking in we where created by a jolly man who later found out it he was the general manager. His hospitality was so welcoming it felt like we were at home. We ordered the Patty melt and Fries and my favorite part where the crispy fries! We are here for a week and we will be back espcially after the service we received! So Happy we started to come back to EPIC. When it first opened we LOVED the customer service the attention to detail and the fact they wanted to make sure your meal was just what you ordered. Then service started to go south and all of the things I just mentioned vanished. It has been a little PLEASENTLY surprised with everything! Today makes our third time coming and we have definitely put EPIC back in our lunch rotation. The service, attention to detail just making you feel welcome has returned. I personally like that staff are not scared to chat with you. And to ask if everything was to your liking. I hope the current crew stays for awhile and continue to produce fast great food. I've come in as a frequent customer on my routes during amazon. Everytime I've come in im greeted at the door or just walking as im walking up. The team treats me like one of their own and shows me the best hospitality I have ever see. The biggest thing is the team cooking the food and the general manager. He walks out and says hello to e eryone with a smile on his face you could never tell if he's having a bad day..that is a true leader. Ok I am currently sitting down eating at this location trying not to cry. (Happy tears of course) But today was a hot mess at work and to blow off steam I decided to go to planet fitness. Only when I got there I was informed that I needed gym shoes instead of the crocs I was wearing. So I left and went to Epic Burger (don't judge me). As soon as I came in I was met with the jolliest person I've seen in fast food in quite a while. He was singing lol and had such a genuine disposition. His name was John (General Manager). I told him I hadn't eaten here since my mom passed away. After her sudden death, I lost my appetite and had not eaten solid food in about two months. Epic Burger was the first meal I ate (all of it) since grief overtook me. I actually got the same thing I did 5 years ago. I work in food service also so I know the importance of good hospitality. This guy hooked my food up! Do you hear me! I got emotional when he brought my food out as there was an extra slider on my plate, he asked me if I needed a hug and it was given. I can't tell you how seen and understood I was in that moment. The food always meets my expectations so that's an easy 10/10. I got the happy hour 2/$5 slider and fry with a vanilla shake and a cup of cheese. I believe in God and I believe He has intricate ways of giving us what we need when we need it. The young lady that gave me the to go bag was the sweetest. The night staff came in laughing and smiling and it felt good to be served by people who seem to really enjoy their jobs. However, that should not compromise the flavor of the beef. I ordered the cowboy with no pickle. I love barbecue sauce, however, sauce and condiments should supplement the taste of the meat. This burger had no flavor at all. Bland. Blah. Basic. For $10, I expected a better burger! I mean a Whooper is full of flame broiled flavor! Ordered a plain cheeseburger with a gluten-free bun. Waited to order (zero line) for a good five minutes before any of the 4 employees behind the counter took my order. Did not receive a table number for my food to be sent out. When I touched my burger the bun was ice cold to the touch, so when I was asked how my food tasted I brought this up. The employee didn't apologize, just responded by saying I should tell them if it's an allergy or preference next time and said they do warm buns up there. I told the employee no one asked me about the allergy (which is fine for me because it's an intolerance, but bad if you're celiac). The burger itself was fine but paying $3 extra for a gross bun makes me not want to go back. read more

This burger consists of a Single Creekstone (halal) Farms Black Angus beef patty, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled onion, and Epic sauce, served on a toasted brioche bun! It was pretty good, and the relatively cheap price didn't hurt. It's not going to be the best burger ever but if you go in with low expectations it'll be just fine. Lots of seating and they're also open relatively late for the loop which is nice. They have some amazing prices during their happy hour on Mon-Fridavs which make it a great alternative to Mcds. I especially enjoy their milkshakes, would definitely recommend picking up one too. They have multiple locations so check them out! read more

Epic burger review We visited Epic Burger's downtown location. If one doesn't have a car, the suggestion is to take CTA-Red line Harrison exit stop. I had to double check our order of added onions on the turkey burger and no onions/added avocado on the regular burger. I took the burgers back to the counter to get my order corrected. I was glad I stayed at the counter and watched the worker correct this because I was not pleased that she used the same glove and touched the onion and the avocado. The overall place was large and clean. One needs a key to the bathroom, which I appreciate. The burgers are good. With the correction to our meal, it took longer to eat. Next time, I'll order a double burger. However, I'll go to another Epic Burger location. read more
