Entwine on Washington St is a very atmospheric spot to have a meal. The staff is friendly efficient and attentive. It's suitably dark but on the day we went it was a bit loud Good food and pleasant atmosphere otherwise read more

Came by to grab a drink with some friends after dinner and it is a homey type of place - cozy in a more slightly vintage American sense, with closely opposed tables, exposed brick, and simple furniture. It's not trying to be too much and there's a charm to that, too. The cocktails and wine will surprise you if you just judge the place based on appearance, and the drinks were solid and it's not a bad place to keep in your radar to stop in if you're in the area. I wouldn't say it's a destination spot if you're not already in the neighborhood, but it can be a casual cool spot to stop by - the only thing is that it was a little crowded so you can hear other people's conversation but maybe that's the vibe you're going for and that way you get to talk to strangers more. read more

Nice selection of wine, very tasty. Charcuterie board is what we got. Felt so cultured. I like that you can choose what is included. Right next to the high line too. Aside from being a bit cramped, perfect date spot. read more

Entwine is a cozy little bar in a quiet part of the city. It's probably at least a ten min walk from any subway, but if you're in the neighborhood, I highly recommend a stop by. They have two levels plus an outdoor patio. Their happy hour is great. I had a drink and a grilled cheese for a total of $21. The drink I had was the Gin Buck which was pretty good. The grilled cheese was filling for dinner. They don't have an extensive food menu however, so plan to snack on light bites here. The staff were nice and friendly. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the quiet Monday evening here. I definitely recommend coming for happy hour - $8 wines, $12 drinks and $8 light bites. One of the better happy hour deals in the city! read more

Hosted our wedding after-party here last weekend and it did not disappoint. Had to scramble to find a spot after our original plans fell through at the last minute, they were so easy to work with and made it completely stress-free. Staff was warm, service was on point all night, and honestly the espresso martinis alone are worth the visit. Guests are still raving about them. 10/10. read more

I forgot how I found this place but my friends and I came for happy hour (4-7 pm). I didn't realize how far west it was; it was such a trek to get there. They have some outdoor seating. Inside there's an upstairs area and a downstairs area. Downstairs there's a bar and some tables and a couch. It's a cool vibe. What we ordered: - Aperol spritz ($12) - Spicy Margarita ($12) - Grilled Cheese: there were 4 slices, so it was more of a slice of bread with slice of cheese. - olives - Hummus: there was not enough hummus for the amount of pita they give you. I would come back! read more

Despite this being a cocktail bar, my friend and I had hot mulled cider and split the mushroom toast. The cider was good but not hot. The toast though - wow. Really generous portions with two pieces topped with delicious goat cheese and super good, buttery mushrooms. And for $12, less than you'd pay for a single piece of avocado toast at most places. The restaurant probably makes most of its profits off drinks and keeps customers lingering with the food. Anyway, I'd come back and try more of the food options for sure. Waiter was kind of short with us and flighty but whatever, the mushroom toast was way worth it. read more

Such a great, unassuming find! This is a cozy, intimate bar with a very European flair. Went in during the happy hour and got the cocktails (spicy margarita has a nice kick). We tried the grilled cheese (elevated and filling for only $8) and the hummus. Would recommend! read more

This place is typical of the great NYC bar/restaurant that is quietly terrific. No big fanfare. From the outside it is unassuming, but step inside the tiny entrance, and it's charming and much bigger than you'd think. Food was good, drinks were great, and staff were welcoming. I didn't know if they could accommodate us based on the crowd as we entered, but they took us downstairs and sat us at a table. It was empty down there, but midway into our meal every stool or seat was filled. Apparently the live jazz draws quite a crowd. It's small (cozy), old (vintage), and very hip. Our appetizer sampler included hummus and baba ganoush and was tasty. My mushroom toast was packed with umami. The vegan curry was simple but hearty. I'd definitely go back next time I'm in this part of the city. read more

The kitchen creates food worth coming back for. Each recipe offers something different. Entwine provides the right mood and draws nice people. The workers maintain attention to detail throughout. I had to give my highest rating after such quality service. read more

I loved the ambiance! Very chill wine bar that was cozy and warm. We went downstairs and sat by the bar and enjoyed our wine. Our server was great in explaining the differences between the whites, and we were both very happy with what he recommended! Great date spot or for a quick drink with a friend. read more

My friends and I came here Tuesday night for happy hour and loved to see $10 drinks, including cocktails. I got an aperol spritz which was great, not too sweet but served in a smaller glass so I'm not sure that's really a happy hour deal. My friends shared a charcuterie board and they seemed to really enjoy it. I'm vegan so didn't participate but can confirm the cheese was real stinky. The ambience inside is really cool and unique. There's an upstairs bar that's dark and divey with a disco ball and downstairs there's another bar and seating area that feels a bit like a movie set. There was a guy working here who greeted us when we walked in and was super friendly, smiley and welcoming. I saw that they have a vegan curry bowl with a vegan label and everything. Love to see this!! If I come back I'll need to try it! read more

When you're aimlessly walking with the intent of going one place, when another catches your eye and you say why not? Entwine was the perfect mid-afternoon post stroll spot for us. Just enough food to tide us over (probably too much delicious cheese if I'm being honest!) and great cocktails. My favorite thing about entwine was the ambiance of mismatched furniture, random art and the sexy pantyhose wallpaper in the queens bathroom. read more

*3.5 stars* came for a happy hour with a friend on a weekend and had a fine experience. Good happy hour deals. I wasn't hungry so I didn't order food but my friend ordered this board and enjoyed it. We were seated outside, which was under a roof and felt a little stuffy on a nice, sunny day out but I imagine it works great during colder weather and they'll take it down during the summer? Service was slow but the wait staff was nice. Would come back again if in the area. read more

Love the vibes of this place and great happy hour deals (ends at 7pm!) Service was a bit slow, but I really enjoyed their hummus and pita app and the Moscow mule drink that my friend and I each had. We sat outside but the inside also looked super cute and cozy. I would come back! read more

Entwine is a dark discreet bar. The cocktails are good, the service is fine. The area downstairs has a very comfy couch in the back, and tables for 4-6 people. I'd recommend going during their happy hour, where they have cocktails for $10 (bef. tax/tip). I recommend the French 75 (without simple syrup personally) and the gin buck which were both great. The table ordered a plate of hummus to share and I must admit the pita bread was fluffy and delicious. read more

The name and categorization of said restaurant leans heavily in the direction of wine bar, but I would actually classify Entwine as a cocktail bar that also serves wine and food. I wasn't blown away by the quantity of different wines available but did opt for a glass of an interesting Gruner that I very much enjoyed. After that, it was cocktails until we left. We sat at the bar so we were able to have some 1-1 conversation with the bartender that resulted in some off-menu and very well-executed creations, so know that even if you want to play around with the drink menu or go in a very different direction, they can accommodate. For food, we hit the mezze platter hard and were very happy with that choice. The spreads were excellent and the pita was warm and squishy. I opted for a Greek salad with salmon as my main and loved it. Super fresh, and nicely seasoned and cooked salmon. I'd definitely get that again. Entwine has a cool vibe even if you aren't sitting at the bar, the food is great, and if you're in the market for some nicely done cocktails, you'll be happy. read more

Beautiful ambiance! It makes you feel important lol and the staff was friendly. We just had drinks but this is definitely a spot I have to revisit and maybe take a date. 9/10 I think they'll enjoy it too. Stop by! read more

Came here for a late dinner and were seated in the basement, which was not nearly as cute as the ground-level dining room tucked behind the bar. We shared the choice of three, brie & honey toast, and beef baby dumplings. I really enjoyed the toast and dumplings; The dumplings were legit baby-sized and were just the cutest things! But the mezze/spreads were utterly underwhelming, which was weird considering it's a Mediterranean restaurant. As for the drinks, neither of us liked our cocktails, both of which tasted like medicine... Maybe it's more of a wine place? Service was great though! Very friendly staff. read more

Love love entwine! Amazing happy hour and great hummus. You have to try their spicy marg!!

The beverages I had at the bar were quite reviving. Also, the food and service are really good. Pita and hummus are delicious. The location was quite simple yet provides a pleasant atmosphere. I adore the comfortable chairs. We enjoy our time here overall. If you were looking for something unique and reasonably priced, I would suggest this gem. read more

Another favorite in NYC! Great date spot, casual hangouts, and chill evening! Love the interior, cute classy wine bar. They have some great cocktails and good selection of wine. Love their cheese selections, they serve their cheeses with toasts and jam( we didn't get the Jam though!) They have a good pairing of small plates. Loved the mushroom goat cheese toast. We ordered the muddled blue berry gin cocktail and the Rose. Overall, a cute, cosy spot for some great drinks! read more

My boyfriend and I visited on a weeknight. Clover club cocktail and manti (ground beef Turkish dumplings) were the standouts for me, but the spicy oven baked dirty potato and grass fed lamb chops were only okay. The lamb was overcooked (waiter didn't ask how we wanted it - I would have specified medium rare, but these were medium. Who errs on the side of medium with lamb chops?) and on that note the service was not great. We actually got good service from a man who I believe was the chef - knowledgeable explaining dishes, brought us things quickly - who made a few appearances. But our regular waiter kept forgetting things, didn't know details about the menu, etc. I could forgive all of that if the food was overall amazing, but it was pretty hit or miss unfortunately. 3.5 stars. read more

Whimsical little place in the heart of my favorite neighborhood in nyc. We sat in the back which looks like a living room. The mezcal drinks were delicious. I had both and the one with the egg white was my favorite. Smooth and just the right amount of mezcal flavor without it being overpowering. The amber wine selection was unique and nice to try since it was new to me. We got the cheese plate and although the bread was good I would skip it next time. Overall, great wine bar. I would recommend! read more

Truly a gem of a cocktail bar with friendly bartender who was happy to tweak cocktails to our preferences. The nibbles on offer -- exquisite cheeses including a highly memorable goat cheese and cured meats --were equally as good as cocktails. Best whisky sour we had on 3 day NYC visit. Loved the old building and relaxed warm vibe, quite refreshing after going into nearby Pastis with really unfriendly dingbat hostesses. read more

Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous place. I felt like I was hanging out in a friend's really cool living room. The music playing in the background, wonderful. The drinks, absolutely delicious and strong. I had the Spicy Margarita and an Old Fashion with Bourbon. I also had the rye toast with brie, drizzled with honey, and sprinkled with almond flakes. So very delicious. I went when they had just opened and had the place to myself for a bit. The service was friendly and fast. Really wish I lived closer. I would be there all the time. read more

I came here for drinks and food, and both items were regular over priced Manhattan prices and not that great. I got the chicken sandwich with a side of potatoes, I also could've gotten the salad. The potatoes were regular and didn't come with any dipping sauce. I should've asked for mayo and ketchup. The sandwich was fine but nothing spectacular and that was $18 and my drink was $16 and basically tasted like a vodka pomegranate drink nothing spectacular. This place isn't bad but definitely not amazing. And especially for the prices I think you could find better. read more

Sweet little bar for a quiet conversation. Great drinks and food and ambiance. Inviting. Friendly staff.

Came on a Saturday night and thought it was cozy and very cute. We sat at the bar and had drinks and an app. The app (Brie with honey and almonds toast) had good flavor but the bread was a bit soggy and could have been toasted more. My husband didn't think it was toasted at all since the bread was so soft. Regardless, we will be back and try a few other things in the future since the flavor was good. read more

I'm so glad I stumbled upon Entwine on Yelp. I was looking for a venue to host a bridal shower that would provide a private space without totally breaking the bank. The bride-to-be is incredible easy-going, so we really only needed a comfortable low-key place with good food. After contacting various venues across lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, Entwine seemed to be the best option. I stopped by a few times for happy hour and I fell in love with the ambiance. The mismatched decor and sparsely decorated backyard felt incredibly cozy. It felt like we were hanging out in someone's living room instead of a bar in the Village. The reservation process had a few hiccups, but it all worked out in the end. They ended up extending our reservation time for the space at no additional charge. Also, the staff was so welcoming and easy-going. They played really enjoyable music and let us bring in a ton of decorations. read more

Came here for after dinner cocktails and wine with friends. The outdoor seating option is charmingly quaint but we were able to move inside for another type of ambience. Great ambience, amazing cocktails, and great service -- what more can you ask for? I went on a Sunday morning, and the indoor back room was entirely empty the whole time we were there; it felt special.
