Dr. Chantal Boisvert is the classiest, friendliest, most compassionate doctor I've ever been treated by....for patients who have her as a Dr. ; we are lucky; her sense of humor, preparedness, ability to explain my condition and to recommend treatment options has been unrivaled. Now my attitude has completely changed .. I have hope again; it's still going to take time to heal but that's ok..because now have a Doctor who listens and. who has this condition under control.

Dr. Yoo had said he couldn't promise perfection but he could improve my nose 80%, which ended up being accurate. Due to complications with my antibiotics post-op, I ended up hospitalized. While in the MemorialCare hospital, Dr Peter Nguyen came into my room and went over my MRI and CT scan of my nose and was very animated, practically shouting that I had been botched. Needless to say, his passionate and enthusiastic demeanor and frustration on my behalf convinced me that he was telling the truth and was knowledgeable. The notes from the ER also noted a deviated septum immediately after my surgery, so I went to get a second opinion from Fountain Valley ENT Dr Thanh Van Nguyen. Dr. Thanh Van Nguyen said that I had a complicated deviation and she couldn't have done a better job herself, and that Dr. Yoo was respectable in his field. However, 6 years later my PCP asked me if I ever considered correcting my deviated septum-my breathing is about 50% improved but minus the rhinoplasty, it looks like I never had any work done at all to correct it! My PCP said that a proper ENT would be able to easily correct it as the primary surgery apparently wasn't thorough enough. It got me thinking about how Dr. Peter Nguyen was the ONLY doctor out of the 3 specialists I saw who recognized that my nose surgery didn't actually correct the root issue sufficiently, and he told me this only a week after my surgery. He might be eccentric but I would trust what he says because 6 years later I am seeing that he was right!

I was hospitalized for server vertigo and loss of hearing left ear. Desperate for an appt and its crucial if you have SSNHL. Treatment must be started within 3 days no later than 2 weeks. I knew I needed to be seen right away. I spoke to Valerie ( I believe ) and she was rude and uncaring. 100 percent. She could care less or have any sympathy for me. I'm not the only patient. I know that but she should be able to identify urgent. Period. She proceeded to tell me she would get me in, in 2 weeks and it would be for a hearing test only. God I am glad I reached out to other practices and found caring staff that knew my situation was dire. I called another place THe Greater Oc spoke to a lady that took my info called me back an hour later on a Friday night and got me in on Monday. Exam, hearing test and treatment was started all same day! What a great experience and a terrible one with this office. Unacceptable. Degrading. Cruel.

I explained that the Dr prior gave me the run around for months and he suggested we try a different approach before going to surgery. He said he's had great success and results and I said I was willing to try. Although I was not expecting to have this procedure done right then and there. So we casted my foot and now we wait 3 weeks with no weight bearing, they even gave me crutches. I didn't have to wait for another day or authorization or copayment he just took care of me and I was in an out in an hour. He also explained that this is not a guarantee that it will work and I was ok with that. So we are hopeful this does work and I won't have to have surgery. The office was so large as they had several doctors and nurses and reception staff they were so professional and kind and supportive I would recommend this specialty group to others in need

She doesn't give eye contact, speaks over patients including myself, just wants to sit and gossip with coworkers. When I asked her a question about my copay and balance, she said "that is not my job, you need to do it yourself, they don't pay me enough here for that". She strikes me as someone who lacks education and etiquette. Dr. Decker is good though. You have to pay for parking. They do not validate.

While on the phone with the receptionist, she said "what am I doing with this" and I responded "the visit notes need to be faxed" and she said "I'm not talking to you". So while she's on the phone with me, she's having a side conversation with someone else? I hope she faxed over what I needed so I don't have to attempt to call this office again.
