A mercenary company. Let me warn you not to use this Enterprise Rent A Car, they ripped off the guy before me, they ripped me off, and they will rip you off too. Let's go: When I was at the branch I heard one of the agents speaking on the phone with one of their customers, demanding £1500 for some damage on a bumper. I thought with myself, "Jeez, let me be careful with this car otherwise I may suffer the same fate." I decided not to take the extra insurance (£100-something) thinking I'd go unscathed. I took the best care possible of their car, looked after it really well, and promise you, it's impossible (mathematically impossible, proven by logic) that I had added a scratch to their rear bumper. But sure thing, when I deliver the car, there's a scratch in the rear bumper. How? I wonder. *I noticed that the paint quality in parts of the bodywork of the car was so poor that I could remove it with my nail* The scratch in the rear bumper is as if someone had tried to put a suitcase in it, and scratched it in the process. With that paint quality, sure thing, on a hard edge some paint would go away. But no one put a suitcase on that boot other than me. And I assure you I took utmost care of it. They simply took my £200 deposit, never mentioned a thing. And now they simply ignore me pretending don't know who I am when I get in touch with their customer service and take days to answer anything I write to them. As an explanation for the bumper is that someone (or Enterprise itself) painted it with really cheap paint which went away with rain. I'll NEVER use this company again, as even if I had made that scratch £200 would be way too much for it. As a courtesy, I'd just let the customer go with it so I can welcome them back later. But I'll remember where NOT to go in the future. read more

I rented a car from this Enterprise back in March and had a terrible experience. First, I had to wait over an hour just to get the car. Then, they told me they were giving me a "free upgrade." When I returned the vehicle, the agent confirmed everything was fine and that there was no damage. Two weeks later, I received a call claiming the car I returned had extensive damage. Since then, it's been months of frustrating back-and-forth. They eventually reduced the charge after initially trying to blame me for additional pre-existing damage, but they still stuck me with a $3,000 bill. They were never able to provide any real evidence that I caused the damage. After this experience, I'll never rent from Enterprise again. Please be aware--this seems to be a common scam based on what others have shared online. read more

Reserved online, and the process was very efficient and straightforward - the car was ready when I arrived. It's a small garage, but they had the exact car I reserved online (Toyota Corolla), and it was clean and very comfortable. I didn't have to pay online, only paid when I rented the car. Perfect for a short rental! Things that would be nice: if hours were longer (or if after-hour returns were possible), if they provided the option of returning the car to the airport. I reserved the car (SUV) around one month before our trip on the website. But when I come to the office to pick up the car, there were no SUV cars, just some sedans and the employee told me that all what I can do - just choose any of those that were parked there. The choice was very small - only about 6 cars and no SUV. Ok, I said - I don't care, I just need a car. He chose one car for me and he got into it to check something there, it turned out that someone had already bought this car, and I could not pick it up! Ok, I asked him about another car that was parked near me and he said it was his car. Ok, I asked about one more car on the parking but it was bought by someone again... Really? Omg, finally he found the car that I could pick up (Nissan Sentra). My experience was not so good... But the drop-off was great read more

Good, good, good! I got picked up by Q, the General Manager. He drove me to the facility on Boylston. Within 15 minutes I was driving out in a very nice little car just perfect for my needs. Payment splits were not briefed correctly. I rented a car for 20 days and my insurance limited to $30 per day. The per day rate went beyond $30 which was not informed to me when the car was taken. After I dropped back the car, I was charged $45 from my card and not even informed through email - I caught that only from my card transaction. They told me the cost exceeded $30 per day and the accumulated amount was hence charged. Bad service. read more

Wow, that was easy. Rented a minivan from these guys for a recent family visit (instead of always having to take two cars to shuttle everyone around). They were by far the cheapest option, even after applying coupons at a couple of competitors. I've rented cars before many times, mainly at airports, and this was an insanely better experience compared to the long wait and poor service I've received in those instances. This Enterprise was easy to find, they had my car ready, and I was out the door in like 10 minutes. The minivan was in good shape, no issues, and the gas tank wasn't empty when we got it. They'll pick you up at your place if you call ahead, but I just stopped off on my way back from work via the #10 bus (convenient location in Capitol Hill helps). The return was even faster. I hadn't arranged for them to drop me back off at home (I was planning to take the bus), but they said "no problem" and 5 minutes later I was back at my house. The bill was exactly what I thought it was going to be, and they didn't try and upsell me on any services or switch my car (and so on). The space where you pick up the cars is tiny, but apparently they rent out up to 120 cars. I guess most are on the road at any given point, so they don't need a huge storage lot. I'll definitely be using them again next time I need to rent a car for getting around the Seattle area. read more

I don't think I have ever rented a car with such ease and at such a good price. I sold my car before moving and I needed a car for the weekend. I called that morning and was able to get a full-sized model that I requested and stopped by to pick it up. When I came to pick it up, I was pleasantly surprised to get a complimentary upgrade and all I had to do was do a walk-around the car and signed and was on my way! The got my information when I made the reservation and it was quick and easy to get my car and head out on the road! When I returned the car, they confirmed the charges that I had to pay and the complimentary ride back to my place was great! All in all a great experience and I definitely will use them again! In fact I did use them later that week and the same great experience! Quick, efficient, great service, and at a very reasonable price...definitely going to use them again! read more

Rented a van here around 5 pm and did not realize how busy they get at that time (should have known when it is the eve of a holiday!). There were only three working and they did s great job of getting customers moving. Unfortunately my van was all the way in the back so a whole row of cars had to be moved first. No worries though as I was not in s hurry. Gavin was very helpful and attentive while all this moving was going on and he took time to check tire wear and did s final vacuum if the vehicle. The Assistant Manager saw how long I patiently waited for all this and offered a nice deal on gas. It was nice he noticed and rewarded not being upset over something that just sometimes takes time. Anyway, I know I rated them high before (Yelp says 5 years ago) but I also want to reward them high marks again for their attention to detail and courtesy to customers! read more

Nothing beat the Enterprise on Boylston in terms of location and price (approx 75 / day), which was far better than any other major rental company was offering. But it had received a couple of bad reviews on Yelp, which made me a bit nervous about going -- but convenience and price trumped that, so I went anyway. Enterprise offers to pick you up, but it was so close to me that I just went straight over. It turned out I did run into a problem -- but the problem was mine. I'd made a boo-boo in booking the car on line, and I had booked it for the wrong day. They were completely out of cars except for one giant SUV, as big as a school bus -- not fun for our planned mountain driving -- and more expensive too. The agent working there completely understood why I didn't want the big SUV and didn't try to push it. Instead he took my number and agreed to call me when another small car came in. At that point we were resigned to losing a day of our travel plans, but he called a couple of hours later, and we came and got our car (a newish Chevy Cobalt). Many people might not have bothered to go this extra mile, and it made the difference in time to save our plans for the day. After that the car was great and everything up to and including the return went smoothly. I really can't see how they could have done any better (without giving me a free car). So I'm giving them the highest rating. read more

I was disappointed in the service that my partner received in attempting to rent a car from this location. My partner went online to reserve a car and based upon the location of the body shop he was using to repair his vehicle, this branch came up as the one servicing the Fairview Ave E area. He called the day before to confirm his reservation and was assured he would be picked up and provided a rental car. The day of the reservation, he waited for 30 minutes before calling to ask for an update. The person he spoke with told him that they did not have a car for him, they do not service the area he was in and that he needed to work with the Downtown branch. Upon calling the Downtown branch, he was greeted with confusion as they did not service that area either. They finally agreed to pick him up. The Downtown branch ended up upgrading him as well as giving him free fuel to make up for the lack of customer service by this branch. The whole process took 2 hours. To summarize, he was given exceptional customer service in the beginning; however, upon delivery, the branch utterly failed and shifted the responsibility and blame to a different one. This left my partner in the middle of an area service dispute and was very unprofessional. read more

Do not believe what the employees here say. They got our rental pick up date/time incorrect, never sent a confirmation, had to adjust the price as they quoted us one thing and tried to give us a different price when we picked up, and we were promised an all wheel drive vehicle and received 2 wheel drive so we had to pick up a new one at another location. When we called to let them know it was not all wheel drive, they promised to take care of it, to stop at a certain location and ask for Keeton who would take care of it. When we arrived none of the three employees had heard of a Keeton, said that the branch we picked up from should have called to give them a heads up. Then when we realized that we left something valuable in the center console, it's suddenly gone missing and no one found it which was a lie. We will be filing a police report and will never rent from here again. Specifically, do not believe anything John or branch manager Q tell you. They were dealing with another of their mix-ups while we were picking up our car, should have taken that as a big clue. Steer clear of this branch at all cost! read more

This Enterprise branch is key of my no-car-owning, car using strategy. For my weekend trips to the mountains or ocean Enterprise ends up being about 60% the cost of a zipcar (with no worry about mileage) and still very easy to deal with. As long as I live on the hill they'll be getting my business, this is the best non-airport location I've worked with, they always know what they are doing. read more

I have rented from this Enterprise location numerous times. But I will not rent from them again. EVER. The location: excellent. The cars: no problems. The service: Horrendous to the point of being comical, but not in a good way. Their moto: The customer is not right and when the customer has a bad experience Enterprise will deny it. Exhibit A: First time renting from the shop. New to Seattle and never rented a car in the state before. I was given the necessary paperwork and stopped to review the fine print before signing off (as anyone should). I did not own a car and did not have insurance. I planned to purchase liability. I was told by the clerk that WA law required that I purchase all of the insurance. I asked about credit card coverage. They basically told me that I would be uninsured by my credit card and reiterated that WA state law required that I purchase each type of coverage. I was in a rush and had no reason to doubt them at the time. The insurance per day cost more than the car rental. By nearly double. FFwd a year or so. Attempt #2. I learned that I had been misinformed by the previous clerk and chose to assume some risk and purchased liability only. The rental overall was problem free. Rinse and repeat 2-3x. Exhibit B: FFwd to this month. Friends in town from out of state. They made their reservation over the phone to the 1-800 #. Made reservation with CC, but had Visa/Mastercard debit cards with them during visit. At no point when they made the reservation were they told to have their credit card with them when they picked up the car. They didn't pack them. Went to pick up car and were told they could not rent with an out of state license and debit card. They questioned the policy, given that their debit card included a Visa or Mastercard logo. The reception from clerk was icy and unwavering. Friends told clerk that they weren't informed by 1-800 operator and asked what could be done to help them. Nothing, said clerk. "Company policy." Friends asked to speak to manager. The manager told my friend he was wrong and that the 1-800 operator would have told him requirements. My friend insisted that he didn't or he would have packed his CC. Manager repeated that there was nothing he could do. My friend was basically accused of lying. To quickly resolve the issue and get out of there, I decided to rent the car with my WA driver's license and debit card. This limited the length of my friends' initial reservation since they planned to use the car when I would be at work. We were told that the car that the economy card they had reserved had been given to someone else and that we could use a car that had just had an oil change and was located at a service station downtown. Enterprise drove me there to pick it up. When we arrived I waited in the employee's monster SUV for 10 mins. while he did god knows what. He returned only to tell me that they only had keys to a Dodge Caravan...read: minivan!! He boasted that we received a free upgrade. Unbelievable. I said I was not going to drive a minivan to the Peninsula much less try to find parking for it in the neighborhood. Then he said, "Or we can bring you back to the office [where we began, I might add]...a Sentra just arrived." The whole process took nearly an HOUR AND A HALF. It was ridiculous. On the way back to the neighborhood office I was livid, but calm. I explained my first experience with the Cap. Hill location and said that I have had problems with them before. Whether it's a matter of poor training or poor management, I said it needs to be fixed. The employee responded (I paraphrase), "The 1-800 number is the bane of my existence. They misinform people all the time. It makes our lives difficult." Then why did the manager deny it?! Thanks Mr. Lackey. You just sealed the deal. You have permanently lost a customer. read more

After arriving at enterprise I was quickly greeted and began going through the process of filling out paperwork with Jasmine Thompson when the phone rang and she answered and instead of putting the customer that called on hold she proceeded to help him for ten minutes before coming back to help me again.
