This was your standardized rental car experience. They had plenty of cars available and they had the type of SUV we requested. The customer service started out a little sketchy but then the gentleman caught himself being a bit snarky and self corrected. The major issue here is that we requested two car seats, one rear facing and one forward facing. All they had were the rear facing car seats for babies and small toddlers and booster seats. So if your child is too small for a booster but too big for their rear facing seats, you're left with a sub standard safety option. Putting children's safety at risk is not acceptable. If they're going to have the option for different types of car seats, they should actually have them available. read more

I rented from this location because I couldn't get off work early enough to go to another open location. I rented from JAN and returned to JAN within my time frame. I was charged a $400.00 deposit and two months later still fighting to get it back because they insisted I returned the vehicle to Louisville, which I have never even been to. I have made 14 calls to customer service (and have "chatted 5 times) (I have all names, dates and times and now record all my calls) and assured every time that this has been escalated to management. I received one call last night (11.13.25) from a "manager" named "Collette" (probably not her real name). She was so unprofessional and behaved as if it were an inconvenience for her to call me at 7PM. It has been an inconvenience for me to have this bogus charge on my card. I am requesting a full refund because now my credit card has charged me all this interest due to Enterprise's incompetence. Please save yourself the headache and rent a vehicle from any other rental company but Enterprise. What an absolute nightmare they are. They take the joy out of any fun you might have had on a trip. Also, you can never talk with management, no matter how many times you request it. This company has a terrible infrastructure to care for their customers. For the most part, customer service is nice, but they literally can't do a thing to help you (or maybe won't?). They say that all they can do is escalate it to management. I'm not even sure management exist. I've been asking for two months to speak with management. I'll open a ticket with CS and they say to be patient and wait for management, but when I wait and call back, they say the ticket was closed. I have no idea how to get actual help from this company, but I can say that until I receive every last penny back, I will post bad reviews. I even took the morning off yesterday to take care of this and chatted and spoke with person after person. Several people down the line, I am told their "system is down" and to call back in 4 hours. I rented a car for two days, but only needed it for one day. They charged me for two days. I have been waiting for since January 26, 2024 for my refund. Everyone I speak with assures me they have put the request in for the refund, but today is February 14, 2024. The rules they have for local rentals are terrible. A $500.00 deposit on top of however much the rental will be. Hertz only charges a $200.00 deposit. I've called a total of 4 to 5 times and they still can't give me my refund. I would advise anyone looking to rent a vehicle to not rent from Enterprise. A big headache! read more

The counter is always empty. You have to wait forever for somebody to show up. When he finally showed up, he pulled up my rental and said the drop-off was in Huntsville Alabama airport. I told him multiple times that it wasn't, and even gave him the exact address of my drop-off location. He said okay. Well, 100 miles away I decided to check the paperwork and he put the Huntsville, AL airport. My drop-off I chose when I booked was in Georgia. I had to stop and call enterprise to get them to change the drop-off location. The enterprise here sucks. All the reps are awful and don't give a shit about their jobs. If I can give this site zero stars I would ! First off I was reserved for mid size. My mom leg started hurting as they were giving me a small audi. My mom asked if they had any trucks in which we didn't mind paying the difference. They agent stated no. His co worker went outside to this black Mazda truck and started whispering to him and he said it's available and changed the vehicle. My mom said never mind because they key fob was damaged but then the agent co worker said I can't change it back because another customer needs a high end car because that's what they paid for. The next day comes!! I called customer service on 7/22/22 I wasted 3hrs trying to figure out what was wrong with the vehicle. So when I originally got the key fob, one side was damaged. The side that was supposed to hold the spare key was broken off. So the key was gone and the cover. When I woke up on 7/22 the key fob was not working I called customer service and they gave me roadside phone number. I called roadside and he stated $55 and was going to be a 3 hr wait I already wasted about two hours at this time already. I had to catch an Uber to the store but the battery which was $6 and catch an Uber back to my hotel The key fob battery was DEAD. This was such an inconvenience because I came from out of town to bury a family member this had made me late to the funeral home Sunday morning the battery was dead again! I missed my flight that was supposed to be 3hrs and I had a lay over and is getting home late. I was advised by the agent on Friday this site would give me a call for Compensation and I got the rental receipt and no compensation this is ridiculous I even called this location 10 times and NO ANSWER! So I contacted customer service and she was sympathetic and compensated me. This location is HORRIBLE I wouldn't dare recommend. Please get on the same page! Enterprise has a lot of internal inconsistencies. Several incidents were I rented from Enterprise and different staff informed me of a different method of the same procedure. The latest is their spouse driving policy. I normally rent cars 7-10 times a year for vacation travel. Majority of the time I rent from Enterprise at the Jackson, MS airport location. Before I rent from any company, I always inquire about spouse driving policy to ensure I understand and meet requirements or add additional payment for coverage. The Jackson, MS airport location always informed me, that spouses are covered without any additional charges and NEVER required me to show spouse driving license to be added to rental contract. But, if they did, I would have happily obliged. Recently I rented from the N. State St Jackson, MS location and they requested that my wife be present and show driving license. I asked was this a new policy, because the airport location never asked for my wife driving license and several times she was standing next to me at the counter. The agent replied no, this has always been Enterprise policy. Long story short, my wife wasn't there with me at the time and we didn't have time to come back. Luckily we never had an incident with the past rented cars, this probably would have been an messy situation, because I'm pretty sure the Enterprise agent would have denied telling us proof of spouse driving license wasn't needed. read more

This is twice now I have driven 35 minutes there, paid to park in airport parking, and get to the desk to find out the car I rented they don't have and don't even have anything similar only one of the tiniest junkiest little car they have when I rented high end/specialty vehicles. No warning or notification. No compensation for having to pay to park. And hours wasted driving here for a specific car when I could have rented from the location a mile down the road from me that is TEN times better. read more

My experiences with Enterprise have always been excellent, except my most recent at the Jackson airport. I was traveling for business and always make a reservation in advance. Due to a delay, I had missed my connecting flight. I called the Jackson Enterprise in advance to let them know that I would be arriving six hours later than noted on my reservation. The girl who took my call said that I would not have any trouble receiving a vehicle. I arrive to the desk after a long day of travel to hear that they are currently out of vehicles, but should be receiving one shortly. This is after the fact that I have given then my credit card to be charged (an incorrect amount) and signed paper work. To me this is EXTREMELY irritating as I would have simply used another company to get in and out, and probably not would have been charged the incorrect amount! To put the icing on the cake, the "manager" hands me keys and tells me to go to lot 9. I walk outside only to find a mini van when my reservation clearly requested an SUV. Again, I felt disrespected as no one clarified that I would be receiving a different vehicle than what was listed within my reservation. It was clear that I simply received whatever was available and they felt that was "good enough". I weighed my options of going back to the front desk to deal with the employees who clearly could care less about me or my experience with their company, and wasting even more time. I decided to take the vehicle and get the hell out of there. My advice to anyone traveling through Jackson airport would be to pick a DIFFERENT rental agency if possible. I had made a reservation at 3 to 4 weeks in advance, once my flight arrived we went to pickup our car only to be told there wasn't any available cars. I asked the rude lady at the counter she said it would be 2 to 3 hrs before we could get a car when two to three cars there in the Enterprise's parking lo, when asked the rude lady said those are for other people???? after waiting for nearly an hour I went back up asking when was those people coming she said she did not know, I said I'm there and they are not???? I called customer services told them that I felt that rude lady was holding cars for her friends. After calling customer services that rude lady finally gave me one of those cars that already there however, she became more upset only answering my questions with a one answer only yes and nodding her head, no eye contact. Customer services said the manager would call me, a week later still waiting. do yourself a favor and stay away from Enterprise unless you feel up to being disappointed. read more

I rent cars at least 5-10 times a year from the Jackson, MS airport location. Naturally some experiences are better than others but this experience was by far the worst. The only thing that made up for it was the young lady working on both Saturday (when I picked up) and Sunday (when I returned the vehicle). Sequence of events: Originally reserved a rental through Payless via Hotwire but when I arrived, the attendant said I needed a bill to prove my residence and she couldn't rent to me otherwise. This was NOT in the Hotwire terms and no one from Payless contacted me ahead of time to tell me I needed a bill. Also, I had JUST rented a vehicle thru Hotwire in the Seattle the previous week and didn't have that issue so it was weird. Back on subject, I had to cancel that reservation and request a care through Enterprise via Hotwire immediately and recieved a great rate at $10 bucks a day but after airport fees $21.00 total. No probs The young lady was handling a customer service issue for someone else very professionally and simultaneously assisted me getting my rental. It was quite impressive actually. I got to the garage to get the car, did a video inspection of the outside of the car (as I usually do). The car windows were down but I didn't think much of it. The car was practically spotless on the outside except for a couple of scratches - it was a white Dodge Dart - which I noted in the video and also had the attendant provide me a receipt of noted "damages" Running a little behind schedule, I had to get going. Bag on the back seat and I was off. By the time I made it out of the very dark garage and out of the airport, I'm starting to recognize why the windows were down. The SMELL in the car was HIDEOUS. It smelled like old moldy houses and faint cigarette smoke - if you're not a smoker, then you understand how offensive that is. I couldn't turn around at this point cause again I'm behind schedule and I had to go. The car rode horribly. My wrist hurt trying to hold it steady - I think that may be typical of Dodge vehicles - could be wrong on that. My purse was in the passenger seat so I grab it to get my phone charger out and I saw a hole in the front seat - I didn't notice it before so all I could think about was being charged for something I didn't do. Moving on. Arrived at my destination 3 hours later and grabbed my bag off the back seat and noticed that the interior of the car in the back was FILTHY. Looked like dust and dog hair was everywhere. I was mad because my luggage is sitting on top of this crap. Luckily I was meeting a friend for the day and we rode around in her car because the rental was too unpleasant to drive around. So between the smells and the filth of the vehicle, I was truly disappointed in the experience. But that's not all. SIGH. Returned the next day at 11:45. My return time was 11:30. So I was 15 minutes behind time. Most agency allow a 30 minute to an hour grace. The attendant, a male, sat in his booth for about 10 minutes before even coming out to meet me and other customers that had been waiting before me. There were 2 people before me. The average check out time is about 3-5 minutes. So by the time he got to me it was 11:55. I was charged $8 additional dollars. Keep in mind, my own car in parked in the garage and the longer it takes me to get to it the more I have to pay overages there too. Because I walked off before noticing the $8 bucks, I had to come back and talk to the attendant but he was helping other folks. I waited there waiting on him but more people kept coming. So I went inside and luckily the same lady that checked me out was there (handling another customer service issue with the police to assist - apparently lots of people get pissed off with Enterprise). By the time she got to me, I asked for the explanation for the charge and longer story short, she graciously ended up removing the fee. Very professional young lady. It's not her fault, but I do blame the attendant cause he clearly entered the wrong return time. Because I had to resolve the matter, I knew I'd have to pay for the 1st hour after my return for the parking but I ended up being 1 hr and 7 minutes late leaving the airport garage and was charged and extra $6 bucks. And while the little fees aren't going to cause me hard ache in the long run, it's principal and service that has been tainted... Sorry so long but between Payless rental car company and Enterprise, it really did cause me enough angst that I won't like rent from either companies directly or even choose them as an optional rental car company again. read more

Picked up the car in a dark garage wedged between two other cars. When I started to walk the car for damage prior to taking the key the reservation agent said "the car has no major body damage". When I dropped the car off the next day low and behold there was a long scratch on the underside of the passenger side door. Not on my watch! But I was charged $500 for it! read more

Rented a car from Enterprise at the Jackson Airport. Had a reservation. Due to an unexpected (and unusually heavy) snowstorm, my flight was cancelled. Was able to book later flight and called ahead to let Enterprise know I'd be later than expected. The change was duly noted and the right kind of car (compact) was waiting for me when I arrived. No one tried to up-sell me (it was almost midnight) and I got on my way quickly. Only downside was that the person ahead of me took a long time to process due to difficulties related to tax status of the purchasing organization. No biggie, but it was a bit of an irritant after a long day. But the attendant was fully focused, first on him ... and then on me. Very chatty and friendly. read more

27 June 2015 and its 0703 and worker just arrived and they suppose to open at 7 am. But before they open they need to go check in to the airport as stated by the employee and will be back in 15min. Not only did they arrive late there was no sense of urgency by the employee to open the establishment by the posted working hours. As the employee walked by late and saw several people waiting till opening, the comment was made to drop keys off in the Dropbox and it would be taken care of. You can't even get to work on time how are anyone suppose to have faith in the drop box system. Which I have used in the past and didn't work so well ( that's another issue all together). Unfortunately enterprise wasn't the only car rental company late they all strolled in after opening time. I guess that's the norm at this airport because I have used Enteprise and other car rental establishments all over the country and this location is something unique. read more

I always rent from enterprise and their always on point with every thing. I rent for almost a three week period in Jackson, MS they wouldn't give me a military discount when I stand in the beginning I was military and asked him they applied it to my bill after I returned the car they said it was to late and there was nothing they could do. They would have got a five start but that was bad customer service in my book. read more

They were simply wonderful. We got to Jackson late -- 10:30 pm -- I had reserved a Standard sedan although I really wanted a larger car for trip with two 6 ft plus grandsons. The sedan was not available and we got a Chrysler Van with 13,000 miles on it -- new!!! My grandson- 25 - drove it all over MS and Alabama on our trip. When we turned it in, they were helpful and courteous. Also, the price I had in the reservation was almost $100 more than the price they charged me. My lucky, lucky day. tried to rent a car in Birmingham and drive to MS. daily rate $139. Well, that's ridiculous so I was only going to do that for 1 day to get me to MS and then rent a new car in MS for $33 a day. Well, the computer said there were no cars where I was going so I called in person. Told them I was bringing a car with me. They said NOT allowed. I arrived in MS and there were 10 cars in the lot, but mine was in slot 30, really!!!!! why would you leave the lot 1/2 empty and make me haul all my luggage to slot 30. Sometimes the availability of cars is limited, and I have to wait for them to get my car ready, even with a reservation, but overall it's ok I guess. read more

While on vacation my family and I were involved in a car accident, we contacted the rental company and we were told we had to find our on way to the airport to get a new car. We were on the side of the ride for 3.5 hours with two crying kids, and we had to be at the airport before they closed at 11 p.m. So needless to say we didn't make it. No help at all. The rental company told us a tow truck was coming and it did not, finally someone else (tow truck driver) stopped to check on us because he said he seen us sitting a few hours ago, and he helped us get to a hotel. So the next morning we get to the airport and they don't have a vehicle large enough for us, although the night before they said they did. read more

The only Enterprise rental kiosk open late afternoon/evening on Saturday which is when I lasted used one of their cars. Easy access to it right next to the airline building, could park my car very near by, no hassels, great economy vehicle with all kinds of bells and whistles. Because of their very early hours and late return time it is perfect for Sat one day rental. I am a loyal/regular Enterprise customer. By buying my gas with them it was 5 cents cheaper than when I use my Kroger Card Discounts so a very good price. The lowest displayed of all the car rentals kiosks inside the airport. read more

I rented a car one way, from Jackson, MS to Starkville, MS. In Jackson at the airport counter, the gentleman was competent and pleasant. I had rented a standard SUV, but was offered an Impala instead. I didn't mind, but there was no offer to discount my rental. I was told if there were any issues to speak with "Lee in the booth," in the garage where the fleet was parked. Much to my dismay, the Impala had unbearable residual smoke odors. "Lee in the booth" had evidently gone for the night, so no service personnel were available. I opted to drive it, because it was 11:30 at night, and I had a two hour drive. Upon returning the car at the Starkville branch, it took 20 minutes, as the staff seemed short-handed. I also asked for a discount because of the smoke odors. The staff in Starkville could not do that since I rented in Jackson, so they called the Jackson branch. I was told the manager there would call me to discuss, but I have not yet heard from her. Very disappointing experience, all around. read more
