I have rented automobiles through Enterprise three times, all in conjunction with repairs to my own vehicles. My insurance company set up the rental authorizations and I have never had any problems during the rental process. The first time I rented, my Hyundai was being repaired out in Waipio. My Enterprise rental car was waiting for me at the repair shop when I arrived to drop off my car, and the agent had me sign papers there, so it was very convenient. Upon return, they told me to just leave the car at the Tony Hyundai Collision Center when I picked up my repaired vehicle. How great is that !! The second time, another vehicle was repaired at Nakamura Body in Moiliili and I got picked up and taken to the 1221 Kapiolani Blvd Enterprise location. This was my least favorite Enterprise branch because although in a convenient location near Ala Moana Center, the actual return spot is on the 7th or 8th floor of the Blackfield Building parking structure. As I drove up in the long oval lot, I realized I had forgotten to refill the gas tank so had to go back down, fill up, and then drive all the way up again to return the car. During my last rental through Enterprise, I was driven from Unibody on Mapunapuna St. to the Enterprise branch on Nimitz Hwy. when I went to return the rental car, I was driven back to Unibody to pick up my repaired Tesla. Each time I rented a vehicle, the Enterprise agent maxed out what my insurance carrier was providing as a daily credit, which I appreciated. The drivers who picked me up and dropped me off were prompt and efficient. Enterprise agents were also thorough and efficient in getting the paperwork done. Five star service !! read more

I've been to a lot of rental car places through the years and this location was definitely the most pleasant experience ever. My car was in the shop for 3 weeks so I needed a rental car. They sent a car to pick me up at the auto body shop then on the day I returned the car, they gave me a ride back to the auto body shop. Both times I waited about 15 minutes for the ride to arrive. The auto body shop had a corporate account with Enterprise so I got a car for $35/day. They gave me a Subaru Solterra EV to drive. It drove beautifully but the only inconvenience was that I had to turn it every week for a fully charged car. On the positive side, I never paid a dime for gas in 3 weeks. Each week when I went to get another car, the process literally took 5 minutes from when I walked in to when I drove off. The staff was always friendly and efficient and all 3 times I never had to wait in line for more than 1-2 minutes. There's parking right in front. This is a fabulous location and very close to the airport. Happy driving!! read more

Because of the ONE star rating the question was, what was I dissatisfied with... I went from seeing Enterprise as the go-to rental car company, but that went from top to bottom. In past experiences, whether booking for staff at work or family traveling abroad, Enterprise was always my first choice. Obviously that has change. We usually use Enterprise at the AP but we figured this location would work better but we had NO clue it was located at the top floor of a parking garage so it made for a long circular ride up; almost causing car sickness! We get up to the top and are told we were supposed to check-in at the ground level, we weren't happy but then the manager (Kohl) came over and handled everything for us. He was so kind, professional, and expedited everything quickly and even upgraded us to a brand new Hyundai. The price he showed was a different price than what we were quoted so he honored the quoted price, what a great guy who was beyond helpful and an absolute great manager! She greeted me upon arrival, assisted in checking me in, and finally helped in showing various options should I choose to upgrade from my reserved intermediate car class. As a first-time visitor of Honolulu, Hannah asked all the right questions and showed interest in my stay by offering suggestions of restaurants and attractions to try while I was there. Upon return, she was even more efficient in checking in our vehicle and getting me on my way to the airport nearby. I do wish they offered a shuttle to the airport given its close proximity, but I understand there's a designated Enterprise at the airport itself, so I can see why they don't. I ended up using the extra time to get my steps in and walked 20 mins directly to the terminal. As for the building itself, it is shared between Enterprise car rental and Enterprise truck rental, but there is plenty of room throughout the room to host a banquet; it's quite spacious. The office was very clean, bright, and inviting. A friendly agent immediately came to help me. Just seven minutes after arrival, I was already on their shuttle bring driven to the shop by Joy (a great conversationalist). It was an impressive and hassle-free experience from start to finish. No one dislikes rental car companies more than myself as I used to travel extensively for both work and for pleasure. Having to deal with the long lines, rental car sales people trying to pressure you into purchasing this and that like pre-paying for a full tank of gas, insurance this and insurance that. Having to wait in line to hear customers argue with the rental agent about why are they putting a certain dollar amount on their credit card and why this and that. I actually got around three rental cars from this company and not once did I have to deal with anything I mentioned above. I mean they did ask me if I wanted the insurance, the gas and so on but they didn't try to high pressure me or to try and trick me into getting one of those things which I appreciated it. This location is off of the airport but close by. However they do not offer shuttle service to and from the airport. I like how the agent comes out to the vehicle they are renting you to do an inspection. I still do take pictures and sometimes videos of the damages just in case they try and say it was a new damage just to show proof. Overall this is one of the best rental car experiences I had. read more

I had to visit Enterprise since my car needed repairs at the shop. I had a friendly driver pick me up from the auto repair shop - I was luckily his only pickup so I got dropped off at Enterprise very quickly. Upon entering the building, I noticed how large & clean it was! The lady who helped me get set up with a rental was very friendly - she even gave me a few options of vehicles I could choose from! We went outside to take a look at the car & finish up the registration process. The process was seamless & professional. My only complaint was it started POURING when we got outside! I felt so bad for the lady as she had to stand in the rain & finish up going over the rental contract :( poor thing. Overall I am super happy with my experience here & will be back in a few weeks when my car is out of the shop! read more

0 stars. This is the worst company ever. My car was vandalized and my insurance company arranged a loaner car for me while my car was getting fixed. They had an entire month to check out my references but no - they waited until I brought my car in to the shop, then told me I was on the Do Not Rent List because I damaged a car in 2006. Say what? Yes I'd rented a car, but I returned it with no problems and never received any damage notifications. I was expecting to pick up my car and leave immediately, but instead they left me here with no car and many appointments I had to cancel. Also, when I asked them what type of damage was on the rental car in 2006, they had no clue. They had absolutely no details. Don't ever use this horrible company. Right now I am waiting for a representative from Hertz. Again, do not waste your time with Enterprise. I've wasted my entire morning due to their incompetence. read more

I'm familiar with Enterprise from previous non-vacation related experiences. I remember getting picked up at home and taken to their office and driven home after returning my car. So when I needed a car to drive while my own was being repaired I picked a shop that had an Enterprise desk. When I dropped off my car Enterprise already had a car waiting on the street. The representative already had some information and rate based on my claim and with just a few questions my paperwork was ready to sign. Even though the options were clearly available there wasn't any pressure to add additional coverage or upgrade. After a brief walk around my rental with the representative I was off and away. A few days into my rental the key fob on my rental started to get wonky. I just drove in without any notice and mentioned my problem. I noticed there was another model - a Honda ERV - that I was interested in. I told the representative I was thinking of buying one so I was willing to upgrade if necessary to test drive the compact SUV for a few days. He just put in some information into his system and said, "Let me get it cleaned up and we'll have it ready for you in a few minutes". No paperwork. No additional cost. I passed a few minutes reading a complimentary Star Advertiser and before I knew it I had the keys to my replacement rental. Returning the vehicle was simply leaving it on the street outside my auto body shop, leaving the keys at the Enterprise desk, and driving away with my own repaired car. I got an email invoice the same day and a hard copy mailed in two days. Painless. Courteous. Efficient. I'd use Enterprise again with no hesitation in the event I need a car for a few days. In fact, if there is a next time I'm going to arrange for that luxury upgrade to a Tesla - I'll be in no rush to get my own car back. read more

My car recently has been giving me problems. Last week while driving home from my hike on H-1 I noticed my SUV shaking excessively. The shake did not go away so to be safe I didn't speed. When I arrived home and got out of the car, I noticed the engine started to smoke! When your car is out-of-service you realize how it anchors you. You become so accustomed to driving around to get to your destination. This was a late-Friday afternoon and had plans for the weekend. So I jumped online to check rental car rates and because I had a great experience with Enterprise, this was my first choice. The first time I went to Enterprise, I went to the one closest to my home. It was the one on Dillingham, which is in the same area as New Eagle Cafe and Siam Garden Cafe. But to my disappointment the cars were ALL sold out and I was bummed. But the Dillingham location was NOT the only office all sold out - - a handful of them had no cars available! I then started to click on the locations which had availability and came across Honolulu Airport but the rates were very high. I then noticed the Ahua Street office and when I clicked on them, the prices were very reasonable so I made my reservations here online. No credit card was required to make the reservation. On Saturdays this office opens at 9am and luckily my brother-in-law dropped me off here. I was assisted by David, who after taking my credit card and Hawaii DL gave me the option to upgrade again, which I declined. I primarily wanted a rental car just to get to my destination and wasn't going to chauffeur a large group. In less than 10 minutes I was escorted to my Honda FIT and did the car inspection. I was out of this office shortly after 920am! Talk about fast service! Because my car needed more time at the shop I needed to extend my rental so I went online only to notice the rates increased. To clarify matters I called this office and requested for David but he wasn't available so I spoke with Cody, who by of chance was there when David assisted me on Saturday and he remembered me just by talking on the phone! I was very impressed. Cody was able to extend my rental and confirmed the rate change would be the SAME. My car has major engine issues and needed to decide whether to fix it or find another alternative so I required more time. I called this office again and this time both Cody and David were not available but Marissa was able to assist me on the extension. Once again, my rental was extended very quickly and confirmed the rate change would be the same. When i finally decided what to do with my car issue it was time to return the rental. I arrived at 9am and Cody assisted me and within a few minutes I got my receipt. Because I had an appointment at Servco Toyota, which is not that far from this office, Cody drove me there with another customer, who is in the military service, as they provide courtesy shuttle within the vicinity. I have been very fortunate with my rental car experiences at Enterprise and highly recommend you to come here. The associates were very friendly and accommodating to my needs. read more

This is a great Enterprise location. They were quick and helpful and got me into an awesome Ford Mustang for the day with no problems. I am a die hard Enterprise customer and this experience just reinforced that. The car was impeccable and ran perfectly and was so much fun to drive! No shuttle to and from the airport. Overstaffed inside the office. Understaffed at car cleaners. Had a reservation for noon. I arrived early. Was told that there would be a half hour wait. Not true. More than 45 minutes. Still waiting and i know there is at least three people before me waiting dor cars to be cleaned. Staff are pleasant. Qaiting room furniture is not nice. No bathroom availabe for customers during thr long wait. While i use enterprise for business, i wont be using this branch again. read more
