Excellent service, availability of cars, and they made it easy to be in and out quick with a rental. When the first rental I got smelled of smoke after a couple hot days, the woman I spoke to on the phone told me to come right in and we could switch it out. Lack of respect, lack of professionalism and lack of cars. So called manager Shamel had no respect neither to customers nor to his staff. My insurance company send me to them and due to the lack of the cars he had to give me his only vehicle in his inventory. 5-6 days later that car had an alarm issue in the middle of the night . They had to replace the vehicle and he told me that he will mark it as 0 gas, then he charged me for gas. Shamel was texting me like he was texting his friend or family member. He would text me as early as 7 am asking for re-write of the contract. I called them and spoke with Christina and she extended my contract. Day later he called me and started "whats up buddy? Whats going on with your car?" I told him that I already extended my contract with Christina, he went off and started yelling at Christina and telling that "she is new and she does not aware of the situation with?" And I asked him "what situation? The vehicle had an alarm issue that went off at 5 am or lack of cars that you have or lack of respect?". He needs to learn some professional manners, instead he feeds his little ego in front of his co-workers while he retaliates with customers. read more

They will try and scare you in to taking out additional daily insurance that is not covered by your insurance. Do not fall for it! Do not sign or initial anything that you have not read! They will ask you to sign on a tablet & send u the bill in an email! Make sure you read the email!! They say it's one price but it's actually another and they add charges on top of that! I will not rent from this location. The customer service of Enterprise has fallen off the map. This location, after booking a reservation and confirming it, then tells me they are sold out. His rationale being that is the week before the 4th. Ok then do not take reservations, you only annoying people and then you make some random excuse, very poor. On top of that I am told its no big deal, I can just go to another location. Glad he knows my situation in life. read more

Update: 0 stars for enterprise; 5 stars for Matt. Matt was able to assist me in my horrible experience with enterprise. I had multiple warnings come on the vehicle and bad wipers. I went to 4 separate enterprises to get assistance and all of them wanted me to send the vehicle to the shop and replace the windshield wipers myself. If it wasn't for Matt's help in getting me a drivable vehicle, I probably would be in the side of the road waiting for my AAA to assist me. THANKS MATT!! Requested a car Monday night at 5, an hour before they closed. No call which our insurance company said they would do to confirm. I called Tuesday morning around 1030 and they said no claim had been received. So I called my insurance company went through all the channels, again. Called Enterprise back said I had just called and I have proof that the claim went through can you check again. They found it, no apology for the confusion or mistake. They said they didn't have any cars available until 3 even though we requested it for noon Tuesday, today. I told him of the inconvenience and how we requested it the night before and we were counting on having a car available. No apology. Very upset will never use this company again. I received a good clean car however was lied to when it came to my daily rate on insurance. Even though it wasn't for a large amount of money it's the sneakiness that I'm angry about. He quoted me one price for a daily insurance rate but had another listed in the contract. I hope the $24 was worth losing a customer over! read more

This is a follow-up to my earlier review because I feel it might help other customers and I've given them more stars. I had complained about the poor quality of the vehicles at this location and then rented one that was so bad it was unsafe to drive IMO. The regional manager worked with the location manager and had me in a brand new minivan asap. I've been renting with the Franklin Enterprise branch several times a year for the last three years. Pros: - It's in Franklin!! - Customer service here is fantastic. Thanks JB and (if my memory works) Mike. - They pick you up! In the ~dozen times I've needed rides, there is almost always little to no wait if you schedule a bit ahead of time. And the two usual drivers are really nice. - Rates are good. Con (but all considered, balances out more towards Pro): - It's true sometimes there are very few vehicles at this branch, which is occasionally inconvenient. But then again, having Enterprise in the small town of Franklin is wicked convenient and cheaper than the airport branch, so to me it balances out as more of a pro. The one time I got a vehicle I felt uncomfortable driving, they let me switch the next day when there were smaller cars on the lot. If I absolutely needed a specific vehicle, I would let them know ahead of time. I'll be renting with Franklin Enterprise for my next visit. read more

Ok, my experience was completely different than the previous review, or maybe I just have different expectations. I needed a truck or a cargo van for a one day rental at the Franklin location. I reserved thru the nationwide reservations system and saw that a cargo van was the lowest cost and met my needs. I reserved the vehicle for pickup in Franklin. Within 15minute Sam was calling me to inform me that a van was not locatable in the immediate area. He made several inquiries around New England to search out a vehicle, when I told him a large pick up was fine he made that happen and even though it was a far more expensive rental they provided it at the cost I was confirmed at. The personal attention was great, they let me keep my vehicle in their lot and they treated me like a celebrity for a one day freaking rental. What better service can one ask for at a satellite location??? I'd rent from them again if this level of personal attention and service is maintained. read more

Great staff and customer-focus. They do a great job. Offered to give me a ride after drop-off. Will use again. Only a couple of points: It would be good to have the tank filled so you don't have to estimate how much gas to fill up before your return. And it is more convenient. Also, Enterprise needs an Emerald-Isle type service at these locations. Too much paperwork. And as a longstanding customerof National, it would be a lot easier for pick-up and drop-off. read more

Don't bother renting here. I made a reservation, confirmed pickup time 2 days later. Then they passed it off to another branch that brought the wrong car. I had to waste an hour of my time to bring it back to pick up the right car. I'll be going to Hertz the next time. read more

I gave Enterprise one star, and that was only because they were open. I had reserved a car by phone, and went with my son to get it half an hour before they closed. I gave the young man behind the counter my debit card, and he needed proof of address (even though we had just rented a car six weeks earlier). I gave him my license, but that wasn't good enough. He wanted a current utility bill. Had I been told I needed that when I booked on the phone, I would have brought it. Since the debit card wasn't going to work, I tried to pay by check. They don't take checks. I then tried to pay cash - they don't take cash. So I left feeling VERY frustrated, and without a car. Oh, and did I mention, another woman was having the same problems, and she left without a car as well. Do yourself a favor - use another rental company. read more

I was a former regular with this branch, renting once a week for work purposes and I loved the customer service from JB and his team. I rented this past weekend for a quick trip to NY, and was extremely disappointed. The vehicle was not vacuumed out, and I was ok with that. However - after driving on the highway to NY and using the air circulation the smell of cigarette smoke permeated through the vehicle. The windshield wipers did not work, and I was a nervous wreck in the rain. I dropped the vehicle off at 6 pm, and realized that I left my fast pass in the vehicle. I called first thing the next day ( 8:10 am) where I was told that the vehicle was already out with a new renter. Granted - I left the fast pass in the vehicle, but the blase attitude from the staff, as well as being dismissed regarding my concerns of the vehicle were not to the standard that I had come to expect as a formerly loyal and frequent enterprise guest. read more
