The people at Enterprise Car Rental in Florence Ky. On Burlington Pike has got to be the rudest people!! I have rented from them in March, and the end of May. I reserved a car for this weekend and now they want me to bring in proof of electric bill and a paycheck stub!! What?? I will cancel my reservation and go elsewhere of course and I will NEVER Recommend anyone! I would rather pay the extra money from Hertz, Budget or any other rental than to deal with these rude people again!! So, now there's a whole family of people who rent vehicles to go on vacation going to another company because of rudeness! NO SWEAT OFF MY BACK!! This was the absolute worst rental car experience I've ever encountered. When I had arrived to pick-up my car, this facility did not have a vehicle available despite my confirmed reservation. Cecil Walker was apologetic and simply offered to give me a ride somewhere else or back to the airport. Keep in mind, I was on a tight schedule as I had meetings in Dayton. After spending approx 10 minutes searching for another rental vehicle on my phone, a lady happened to unexpectedly return a Toyota Corola and I was able to get it.. That is, after it was cleaned. It was also disappointing that I had gotten a Toyota Corolla when I had reserved a full-size vehicle. And of course, I was still charged for a full-size vehicle. I feel that the overall service and vehicle availability at Enterprise/Alamo/National has greatly declined in recent times. This experience has lead me to start looking for a better rental car company for future rentals. read more

i would give 0 stars if I could!!! needed a rental and they told us to be there at 12:30 on a Saturday and to bring proof of insurance, license, and credit card. we showed up with everything required however they said they could not use our insurance card that we would need a different copy. I reached out to my insurance guy on his day off and he gave me what i requested only for them to say they could accept that either that they now needed to talk to him. they let us know this 5 minutes before they were closing...by the time i was able to relay the message they were already closed. Besides having to catch an Uber to the location, it wasn't the most pleasant experience. They gave me a SUV with no Gas in it at all. The KICKER is the SUV had no fob/remote. I had to physically use the key which would set off the alarm every time (look at video). The only way you could cut it off is to hurry up and start the vehicle. I called and complained about it and I was pretty much told to deal with it. So my question is why would you rent a vehicle like this to someone? Just horrible. read more

My car was totaled after someone rear ended it, and this is where my insurance sent me. By the time we got there, they already had a car ready for me. I was in and out in fifteen minutes. Being only 22, they still treated me with respect and compassion. Daniel provided great service - he was friendly, efficient, and informative. He didn't make us feel rushed or unimportant, explained everything we needed to know, but didn't take up any extra time. He was also courteous enough to give us information about buying a car from enterprise. He definitely deserves some recognition! The car itself was very nice and clean. It came with a full tank. I honestly didn't want to give it back! If I ever need to rent a car again, I'll be going here. read more

I've only ever needed to rent a car once, so I don't have any other experience to compare their service to. Their service was alright. I liked that they picked me up from the shop that was fixing my car, even though the shop called ahead and the person that was supposed to pick me up came like half an hour late. I really liked the car that I got, a 2011 Camry. The only thing I really didn't like was that they pushed way too hard to sell their insurance. Also like a month later they charged some 20.00 fee or something like that to my debit card. I have no clue why they did it... I kept meaning to call but for 20.00 it wasn't a big priority and I ended up forgetting about it until it was too late to really care. I wouldn't mind using them again, but hopefully I won't ever have to! read more

You guys have some very "professional" people working for Enterprise. When someone says they are already talking to another person and to stop calling and emailing literally 5-6 times a day because it gets to be annoying, your employees should not email back with, "that's all you had to do was let someone know, because that's annoying." That is not a reply you say back to a potential customer. That's very rude and doesn't make me want to come in from Indiana and look into getting a vehicle now if that's how your employees speak to people and that's the treatment I will receive. read more

Wow. When they say they leave at 6, it's like someone yelled "fire in the hole" and everyone is gone. I had to drive 6 hours today to get the car, and they couldn't stay open another 15 minutes. They accepted my reservation on the day of rental. When I arrived I was told the car was not available, and that they tried to call me to advise of the situation. When I showed the the individual that I had no phone record of an incoming call, he said "oh, we don't have your number". I advised him that it was on the reservation, to which, no response; hmm. He then offered a DOWNGRADE vehicle, wow, really. Bait and Switch. When I inquired about two vehicles on the lot matching my reservation, I was advised those were already reserved. An unwritten reservation priority system in place. Corporate Customer Service returned a phone call 4 days later. Beware, my reservation was merely a priority sequence listing for the vehicle, not a reservation at all. It seemed like, it's anything to get you in the store and in need. read more

THEY LIED TO ME!!!! I was told that I could rent a car from the Florence, KY location using my debit card by an assistant manager. We wanted to drop said vehicle at our local location in WV. My Dad and I had to take a taxi from the airport which cost us $25! When we arrived the lady I spoke to didn't even have the courtesy to tell us that she LIED! We could not rent a vehicle without a major credit card because we were out of our home state. I asked to use the phone to call a taxi, and they couldn't even find a phone book for the number. A nice worker finally gave us a lift back to the airport. I don't appreciate wasting money and I definitely don't appreciate being lied to! This place was horrible!!!!! read more

I spoke to someone that called me and confirmed my reservation the day before pick up and said i reserved an intermediate car.. im like no i picked a standard he said he fixed it... My car recently decided that it had been working to hard and everything went out on the same day. Awesome right? Not really. But anyway, I would be car-less for awhile and I needed a car to drive, so I called Enterprise because they are located close to the place where I take my car. At first Enterprise said they would only have a truck for me to drive, but when they heard that I didn't feel comfortable driving a truck at all, they went above and beyond trying to find a car for me to drive. The even washed it right then so I wouldn't have to drive a truck! Wonderful! Hopefully (knock on wood) I don't have to rent a car again any time soon, but if I do, I know who to call. read more

I rented a van in September of 2020. I was told I would receive several discounts. I returned the van the day it was due, which was a Saturday. They charged me until Monday. When I called the manager was rude and disrespectful. He actually told me that getting mad wasn't helpful and he was going to fix it so I could just calm down or he wouldn't fix it all. I was mad and upset but I didn't cuss at him or scream. I called corporate and informed them that their management needed to be trained in empathy. I was told that the general manager would call me and I am still waiting on this phone call and its been almost 6 months. Don't rent from them! All the discounts I was promised did NOT get applied and the same manager told me that they don't even have a military discount and he didn't know why I would assume they did. What a disappointment... we picked up in central Florence with no problem... we told them we would be returning at 8pm on a Saturday night they said sure the garage to drop off will be open. When we dropped off at 7:40pm they were closed and some guy said we had to pay 20 euros to drop off since enterprise was closed! We were never told this! Also it would have been nice to get directions back to the garage for drop off since there are so many one way streets and google maps does not recognize them! Took an extra 30 minutes just to figure out how to get to the Excelsior garage (where enterprise stores their cars) . I would overall say easy to pick up but hard to drop off!!! read more

This has to be one of the worst rental car places I have ever been to. The lady was a total jackass! Refused to take my check,cash, or card and stated that she had to be paid with money order only???!!!??!? I literally had to go right across the street to get the money order and she stated that she was going to hold all the info and I wasn't even gone for 10 mins and I get back and she had already taken my info out of the system and given my rental car to someone else!! Then this lady tried to say that there is no way that my durmax has full coverage insurance on it bc it was a 2007 and tried to argue with me and then call my insurance company to find out if I had full coverage bc I refused to take her added insurance bc I had my own full coverage insurance that would cover my rental!! Who ever this lady is ...short, tan, dark hair, over lined lips needs some additional customer service training or needs to be fired! read more

Well Donielle, you are lucky you only got stuck with a $20.00 fee. They took total advantage of my 23 year old son and debited his account for around $850.00 for insurance that he did NOT willingly sign up for. He was told PRIOR to the rental by State Farm that he did NOT need additional insurance so he would NOT have willingly signed up for it. They totally took advantage of him and pushed him into signing all sorts of things without explaining a thing. My son had responded " I will take whatever State Farm will cover " meaning the daily rental. I guess it's because they used other terminology and not the actual word "insurance." My son and I tried to talk to them, they did reimburse him for a little over $300.00 but insisted he knew exactly what he was signing for. I will never use them again and I will tell everyone I know to be careful if they choose to use them. A 23 year old doesn't usually have $800.00 + to throw away. Really sad :( I would just like to add that my son went to Enterprise in February to try to resolve this matter in person. They were very cordial but insisted that he knew exactly what he was signing for even though they did reimburse him for half of his unexplained expense. Hmmm. Enterprise tried to explain to him their reasoning and told me that my son was totally protected IF he had an accident and that he wouldn't have had to pay his deductible because with Enterprise, he was totally covered. Funny thing, he DIDN'T have an accident and WOULDN'T have had to pay his deductible ( which is most cases) BUT Enterprise got their "deductible" anyway. Pretty sneaky if you ask me. I book the car on-line, and have found the rates to be competitive and really appreciate the option of Sunday site availability. The customer service has been good and straightforward on additional rental features. I do rent cars frequently, which helps minimize confusion and time in the process. I am a rent-a-car expert. I am also a huge fan of Enterprise RAC in Florence. I have rented for business all over the U.S. and had just about every agency rent me cars. While some are better than others, this particular Enterprise and all their staff ALWAYS makes the process easy and painless. Just this week I had to rent a van to take the family to FL. for vacation. A new rule for them was that if you pay with debit card, you have to bring a utility bill or something when you pick up your vehicle. I didn't have one but they let me use a computer, pull up a bill on the internet and print it. All done! On return, I apologized for the sand that was left in the car (I cleaned it best I could) and the agent made me feel good that I did what I could and there was no issues. By the way, I always shop around for price and this Enterprise almost always has the lowest price I can get and if it is a couple of dollars more, it's worth it! read more
