Only one person working in this location and is trying to sell every available option to the previous client while I wait for help and the phone is ringing off the hook. The guy seems pleasant enough (though too much hard sell) but can't figure out how to politely move things along. It's snowing outside and he seems to be hoping for a 5 review from the last lady. So upgraded from economy car to full size (they didn't have an economy car) and took 20% off because I had to wait. Ok, 3 stars instead of 2, but have some staff available.... especially when you have reservations. And the phone is ringing off the hook again.

I explained a possible need to extend my reservation but wouldn't know until near the end of my reservation. Thankfully this could be accommodated if needed. The was filthy. I had to pull over and clean where the camera looks out, because the cruise control got an error and wouldn't work till I cleaned out. Turned out to have a sticky substance over that whole area. I got aTesla, since I wanted to try an EV. I might have liked it more, if it weren't so dirty. At the pickup place they told me that I had to return it above 90% or pay a fee, unless I pre-paid. When I showed them my rental contract that says return it at 10% or above, I was told that "we can see when you return the car and you can talk to customer service." I dreaded the return. So I clean the camera areas and find the car ok. Had my return time set for 7pm, but arrived early at 6 to find they close at 5. Huh, nobody told me that when I booked out locked it up. I waited on hold for 15 minutes and hung up. Found the drop box and filmed my key return. Imagine my surprise when the next day I see a $40 charge to my card. Another 10 minutes on hold and learn that it's an additional deposit since I "still had the car." Volunteered to send the video of the return, but she said that she'd just send an email to the location. This is one of my very few bad reviews and it's not done easily. Yet, I can't even give 2 stars this time. I recommend anyone else, or even renting a scooter before this place. Maybe just cancel your trip first.

When I mentioned that my 6'4" son was coming to visit, he offered me an upgrade to an SUV. That was greatly appreciated. About 5 weeks into the rental, after my son had to cancel his visit, I asked Asem if he had something a little more comfortable, smaller and better handling. He had a Ford Edge coming in, as I was familiar with the vehicle I told him that would be perfect. The next day, we switched cars and I used it, happily, to the end of the rental period. I would like to offer an aside to this review. Rental cars during the pandemic are not easy to come by as the car rental companies dumped off a lot of their inventory. This puts a lot of stress on the franchises as the selection of vehicles is very limited. To me, that makes Asem's courtesy and accommodation even more appreciated. If you are coming to Boulder, I would suggest you rent your car from Asem's Avis store at 49th and Pearl.

I received multiple texts stating "take me about three minutes to get there," "3 minutes," "I'm coming," etc. Yet the vehicle did not arrive until approximately 6:40pm. As an older traveler with mobility concerns, I hired a limo service specifically for peace of mind and reliability. The vehicle itself was fine, and I did ultimately get home safely. However, the delay and the inaccurate arrival estimates created unnecessary anxiety. When I contacted the company the next day to request acknowledgment and adjustment to their charge, I was told I had only waited three minutes and was informed I am no longer welcome to use the service. I'm sharing this experience for travelers who prioritize reliability and clear communication when arranging airport transportation.
