I rented a mid size vehicle for one week from this location. The car was ready when I arrived and more importantly I was welcomed with kindness and professionalism. My first interaction was with Carter, the branch rental manager, and he was a great pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this Enterprise location when you need a vehicle. It's a bold choice to not carry AWD/4WD vehicles in Colorado, but that's the situation with this location. I had an Enterprise reservation and had to cancel since the closest Enterprise location with the appropriate vehicle is the airport. That would add a couple of hours to my drive. I'll be driving through the mountains and to be clear, when I made the reservation, the forecast was good. Now that there is weather rolling in, I had to make an adjustment for safety and because of traction law. Enterprise needs to get with the times if they are going to operate in Colorado. Terrible customer service! Our rental car broke down and all in all it took 10 hours to get a replacement so we got a hotel (were told by roadside agents it would be reimbursed). When I returned the rental car I sent the invoice for the hotel. Two days later I called to see the status of the reimbursement and was told they probably weren't going to cover it and he would get back to me two days later a refund showed up in my bank but I never heard a word from the manager at the location. This year, we tried renting a car on a couple occasions. On both times, the cars were dirty. This past time, we rented a nice looking premium car; an Audi came in. After seeing it in the morning for an afternoon pickup, we asked management if they could clean the car; after all, it was a nice premium car. They agreed that it would be cleaned. Upon our return, we noticed that the exterior was still filthy. When we inquired with the manager, she mentioned that they cleaned the interior and didn't have the facilities to clean the outside. We tried to explain that every rental car should be cleaned. We refused to rent the car and left. The manager said that there would be no charge. Having a nicely maintained, clean car should be a basic requirement. Argh!!! read more

I am very appreciative of how this location/Brandon worked with me to ensure I was a happy customer. I asked for an SUV when making a car reservation because I was planning to drive in the mountains. I was imagining something like a Nissan Rouge or Subaru Forrester. When I arrived, the only SUV they had was a very large (but nice) Ford Exhibition. I was a little nervous about driving something that massive, so I asked if they had anything smaller and they said unfortunately not. I know that rental cars are hard to get these days because of supply chain issues, so I decided to just roll with it. When I got back to the house I was staying in, I realized the car was too big to fit in the garage so I couldn't close the garage door. There wasn't any street parking either, so I knew I would have major issues with this car for the rest of the week. When I called Enterprise and told them, Brandon worked with another location to get me an SUV that was smaller. They even brought it to the store closest to my house. First time renting from this branch - awesome service from the folks that work here. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional. It's also a nice perk that Enterprise offers pick-up and drop-off service as this makes renting a car super easy. They were able to give me a lift to/from places within town (save on Ubering and or asking someone for a ride). Just FYI though - this does seem like a smaller branch and I didn't see a ton of cars available in the parking lot (unless they have another lot located elsewhere or allocate based on demand for the day). I'd be happy to rent from this branch again due to the great, friendly customer service. Come pick it up. We take a 20min Uber, enter the building where there are 4 separate people ahead of us. One person behind the counter. We wait about 20 mins as they're all checking in and out. Then the rep goes "hey if you're here to rent a car, we don't have any. Sorry" What. We're like oh but we have this reservation number and we confirmed. "Sorry no we don't. There's a call center in St. Louis who has no idea what we're dealing with. If you want, you can wait. I'm in a group chat with other centers who might have people dropping off cars" Incredible. Took an Uber and went to a different place (shoutout to Budget in Boulder). Anyway, will never even try enterprise again. Unbelievable. read more

Let me begin by saying that I am a loyal enterprise customer but I believe that will change very soon! An employee was in need of a truck rental while working in denver. We spoke with a few locations and they all said they had no trucks available. No problem, we'll call outside the city. We called this boulder location and their employees said, "yes we do, we can hold it till 11am" We jumped in the car and drove 30 minutes only to find out they had been lying to us! Lance, who is completely unprofessional said they had never said that and that they only reserved one for us with the hopes of finding a truck. Let me get this right, you have me drive all the way here only to be lied too with hopes we would accept another car." He said that it was my problem. I laughed and got really upset. I was thoroughly impressed with my experience at Enterprise yesterday and today. I had a scheduled a car rental, and when I arrived, it turned out that for some reason, some cars hadn't arrived yet. Through no fault of the employees there. I could tell that Clay really was concerned. I didn't have any rush, so I went to Whole Foods and then Ryan picked me up. He was great and laid back. He was so kind as to drop me off at Chataqua State park for hiking, and then I scheduled a pickup! When I called to schedule the pickup, Harrison was great. Ryan picked me up, great attitude and laid back again. My car was ready, and again, Clay and Harrison, were so kind and appreciative of my flexibility. It was my vacation, so I didn't want to stress over the little things, but they really made it seamless. Harrison gave me some free gas and gave me an even better rate. Unfortunately I missed the time frame to submit my review when I got the text from Enterprise but I had such an amazing experience that I felt I had to do something! When I brought my car to the repair shop there was some issues with timing/insurance and the enterprise was about to close. Instead of leaving me hanging, the staff stayed AFTER close to accommodate me and drive me back to the repair shop. It just felt really out of the ordinary service and I was so grateful because it was already a stressful day. I was helped by Jacob, Lily & Kristen and each one of them was so helpful. Enterprise is great. However, this location sucks. They gave vague and limited answers about hustling to support customers. I called because I needed to make sure the rep I spoke with on Monday confirmed a pickup. I called ton confirm and Matt did the bare minimum to execute. He was too busy blaming the rep. They should have called days ago to verify my requirements. I located one on the web site and called and Matt committed to calling me back in ten minutes. I have yet to hear back. Matt, also, committed to call before the end of the day. STILL no call back. The service sucks and they should change this location name to the ' Bare Minimum and Crappy Customer Service Rental.' I encourage you to call Brandon at the Arapahoe. He hustled for a solution and found one. I wish I could give them a negative-50! I reserved and scheduled a specific rental car with a full tank of gas for a interim car repair. On the day, leaving my car with the Autobody shop. Enterprise didn't know who I was and lost my reservation. I had to reschedule everything! After Which, coming back to the Autobody shop, they did this to me again and again. I called all the Enterprise rental businesses in Boulder, Co. working on solving the issues. I spent a total of three weeks working on this issue. I've never successfully coordinated rental car so I can't get my car repaired. SHISH!!! Don't use them! read more

Kudos to the staff member at the West Boulder and Rachel at the Valmont Road branches for excellent customer service! They helped us switch out of a rough and tumble Jeep Wrangler, which was the only vehicle a Denver branch could offer us despite our advanced reservation, and into a more comfortable Jeep Grand Cherokee, which helped us to explore Rocky Mountain National Park! The change didn't take much time out of our vacation schedule as both Mapleton & Valmont staff identified our options and expedited the cleaning (interior and exterior) of the recently returned vehicle. The level of service and expertise is unparalleled. In fact, I was reflecting recently that I may just rent whatever they give me at the airport and then go to a branch to ensure I have the best deal possible. Rented a car yesterday for 24hrs while mine was at the shop. Booking process was easy. When arrived to a location, Mr Andrew Kviz greeted and appeared to be super friendly, explained everything, gave a brand new Chevy sonic and left his emergency phone #. It was so nice of him. Can't leave 5 stars just because company's shuttle service sucks. To pick me up from 1 mile away they said it'll take 2 hours so I just waked. To drop me off, they said they can't because it's in another "city" however the mileage wouldn't be same if they would've drop be off at the furthest point of Boulder. read more

Frankie was exceptionally helpful and friendly during my car drop off portion - she made the experience quick and easy. Before I could ask she offered if I needed to be dropped off anywhere after I gave back the car. I took her up on it... a really convenient service. We rented a Nisan Versa Note, which got great gas mileage 40-45 mpg making it an economic option [we drove out to Pike's Peak in CO Springs without any problems]. I don't normally give five stars and the reason this missed a star is that overall this is a somewhat smaller Enterprise, which means that there is a limited availability of cars. We did experience some difficultly picking the rental car, because it wasn't ready yet (we ended up getting it 2.5 hours after we wanted it), but everything ended up fine. I reserved a compact for a couple of days in October. They came to pick me up and dropped me off when I returned the car. Both associates were very nice and courteous. They did not have a compact, so they gave me the full size (I think). Although they did not gave a GPS, this car came with Sirius XM radio. My experience at the Enterprise Rental Car Shop on Mapleton St in Boulder was horrible. I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again, despite being a loyal customer of National Rental Car for more than 20 years. I had reserved a car from this shop in Nov. I reserved the car for a trip I needed to make for my son. When I arrived at the shop, the person working there had left for lunch. The hours for this location say it's open throughout the day. The person working there didn't leave a sign or anything to say why the shop was closed. I waited because I needed the car. When the man returned to the Enterprise Rental shop, he said he no longer had the rental I'd reserved and didn't have anything else available. I was left to find another solution on my own. Not only did Enterprise leave me in a bind, they didn't apologize for their mistake or even try to find me an alternative vehicle. I rent cars about 6 times per year. I've never had an experience as bad as this one. I've since joined Hertz and make a point to tell others to avoid Enterprise. read more

Today, just like the third weekend of every month we needed a rental car from Enterprise. We walked into the store right after work and asked to rent a car. Immediately, the assistant manager Alyssa told me that there were no cars available unless we had a reservation. So, we walked outside, went to enterprise.com and made a reservation for 10 minutes later that day. We walked back inside armed with a confirmation code and was told that they did indeed have cars available. About 5 minutes into the process, I was told that we couldn't rent the car because it was my credit card and my girlfriend was going to drive (I don't have a license...native New Yorker here). I tried explaining that we do the same rental every month, the same week of the month, using the same credit card and driver's license. All of this was to no avail. The assistant manager Alyssa just wanted to leave work already. It was painfully obvious that she was looking for any reason to get us out of the door immediately with no car. I'm not sure why someone would be so apathetic about their job, especially in a management position. We were offered no explanation or reason for this sudden denial after doing the same thing every month for over a year. I would have been more understanding if I was provided a reason for this sudden change in policy. We went over to Hertz and boom! 15 minutes later we had a car for the weekend. Go to Hertz instead. My car was broken into and the ignition was damaged, so my insurance company sent me to Enterprise to get a loaner while my car was being fixed. Ryan and Collin were awesome and went out of their way to give me some of the best customer service I have ever experienced at a car rental place. They even brought the car to my home! Made a reservation weeks in advanced online, got there the day of at 8am, servers were down, they said we had no reservation and were being difficult, they called out and we were told to come back at 10. Came back later...apparently they couldn't take our cards without having 2 utility bills in our name (I've rented from Enterprise plenty and have NEVER done this before, ever. Maybe it's a new thing). Bills are in my landlord name, and it was a struggle to get them to accept anything. Finally finished and entered after much frustration (keep in mind this is around 4) Car still isn't ready/back yet, and we sat around waiting for it to be here and ready/cleaned/inspected. Such horrid service after I took the car back. I had my car in the shop, who was suppose to be paying for the rental and I guess they have an agreement for paying. They had to use my car to hold $50 that was suppose to get back when I took the car back. They instead kept the 50 and charged me for the car. When calling about it the day after I delivered the car they informed me of the charges and said I'd the money back on my account 2 days later. Still no money in my account. I call again and they said it should be in by the end of the day. The next day it's still not there and I call back and get a rude man saying call your bank I did it myself. Horrible service. Do not rent from this location -- their staff does not keep their word. Just before last Christmas, my brother and I went to rent a car from the Mapleton Ave Enterprise. We picked up the car just before 6pm on 12/22 (I think it was about 5:45). When we spoke to the staff, I said that we might be a bit late in returning the car the following day (they close at 6pm), and asked if a) we could return it after-hours and b) if I would be charged an extra day (I was putting the rental on my credit card). The person I talked to said yes, we could drop it off after hours and no, we would not be charged an extra day -- only one day. The next day we drove up to the high country and on the way back, hit a massive snowstorm. Unfortunately, the car's wipers were very old and completely worn out, and the wiper fluid was summer variant, meaning it began to freeze on us as we drove. We had to stop and buy brand new wiper blades and squirt out all the summer fluid and fill with winter stuff. When I told Enterprise about this afterward, they did say sorry but did not offer any discount or reimbursement for the blades or fluid that we had paid for. On top of that, the tires performed poorly in snow -- which is an issue for a car rental company in CO winter. I-70 was closed for about 3 hours and we finally made it back to Boulder around 9pm on 12/23. I dropped off the keys as I'd been told. About a week later (just before new year, so on 12/29) I got an email bill for $114! The original price for a one-day rental plus extra driver was supposed to be $57, so someone had charged us for two days! Unfortunately this was just the beginning of my troubles. I called on 12/29 saying I'd been overcharged, and was told that the extra charge would be taken off promptly. I waited a week and saw no refund on my credit card. I called again on 1/5 and spoke to "Anthony", explained I had already called. Anthony said he did not have permission to refund the money and that his manager was on vacation and wouldn't be back until Thursday that week. Well, I waited yet another week and called FOR THE THIRD TIME on 1/11. I spoke to someone else (didn't get her name), and was assured that the manager was back and I'd get my refund within the next few days -- she said she'd "get right on it". Well, it is now 1/19, almost a month after the original rental and still no refund. What annoys me the most about all this is not the staff charging me for a second day if that is their policy, it's that I was informed FOUR TIMES (if you count their initial word on 12/22) that I would not be charged for the extra day dropping it off after hours and that I'd be refunded. Their employees are either incompetent/not on the same page, or dishonest. Add that to the fact that their wipers/fluid were not ready for winter, and it was a terrible experience. -Chris read more

Get your billing in writing before you accept. Word of mouth from the initial quote can produce a lot variance from the real bill. I stood my ground and got the bill corrected. Read the writing closely as it did not match! Reservation procedures were a bit vague. I called a Boulder Colorado location and got a confirmed reservation only to be called back as much as thirty-forty minutes later to be told that a cargo van was not available and was referred to another location. This happened three times until on the last time I was told they did not handle cargo vans at all at that location at all and I refused to bother to call the latest referral since I had already gotten a confirmation and they had wasted to much of my time. I told the clerk that I had already gotten three confirmations previously and that their procedures of calling later to refute the confirmations was incompetent at best, and a major problem for folks in an emergency situation who might not have the means to receive the call, which was not timely in the least. She understood and got me the van but it took some heavy guilt tripping on my part to get them to do what they had promised. Shocking. No spare tire on the vehicle scared me a bit when I had to drive outside phone networks. They promise roadside assistance but that might not be available in the desert of Arizona/New Mexico I drove through since cell networks were patchy. Otherwise the van was great, clean and new. No mechanical problems but it did have a missing fisheye mirror. They gave me a ride home when I returned the van to another location read more

We had a large line forming behind us because of some tricky reservation logistics (switching from a business to personal rental, different start and end states, etc), and still our agent, Megan Sukup, stayed calm, focused and friendly. She made every aspect of our transaction a pleasure. We'll also never forget how her awesome Bulldog, Pretty, entertained everyone as the office got busier and busier while we were there.
