In and out in 10 min. You do have less selection and the cars are stored in a normal strip mall parking lot. I can't speak for coming here when it's the weekend or more packed. If you have your heart set on the car in your reservation, look elsewhere as the nature of these small locations is you basically just get what's available that day. To try and avoid the usual issues, I even had an executive customer service representative (Laura S.) reach out to this locations manager two weeks prior to my rental to ensure everything was set. None of it mattered. I still arrived and was given a Ford Expedition instead. This has now happened multiple times with different hertz locations, so clearly reservations -- even with corporate involvement -- don't mean much at this location and others. The condition of the vehicle made it worse. It was dirty, worn, three different brand of tires and had over 60,000 miles on it -- not even close to what you expect when paying for that class of vehicle. Here's the part that really pushed it over the edge: I returned the vehicle to the airport location, and somehow I was charged a cleaning fee. That's right -- I was given a dirty vehicle and then charged as if I returned it that way. As an employee stated it's just big and dirt baked on by the Arizona sun. On top of that, trying to contact the location was a joke. Calls were being unanswered or immediately hung up. Between the wrong vehicle, poor condition, lack of accountability, and being hit with an unjustified cleaning fee, I'm done. I've already canceled multiple future reservations in 5 different cities and will be taking my business elsewhere. If you actually expect to receive the vehicle you reserved -- or even a clean one -- I would strongly suggest looking at other rental companies.

Their driver, Alex, that picked us up from Crash Champions to get our Enterprise rental and drove us back after returning the rental was so pleasant. Tucker checked us out and was equally efficient and personable as the rest of the individuals I interacted with. I would recommend this Enterprise service site to anyone.

If you do rent from them, then take tons of pics in and outside the car while at the rental area before to take it and after you drop it off. They will try to charge you for anything they can (e.g., cleaning fee of $250) and don't do so until 2-4 weeks later. Take pics of the gas receipt and gas gauge after you drop it off too. They charged me when I returned it full and I had to show them it was full via my pics. Now, I'm doing everything I can to pull their contract from my company b/c I don't want my colleagues to suffer as I did.

She provided us with a Brand new Chevy Cruze with unlimited mileage. Upon my return, I asked her if I could get a ride back to my hotel which was about 6 miles away. I reserved a car on Monday to pick up after work & after I dropped my car off. I was able to pick up my rental car pretty quickly. The reason for only 4 stars is due to the return. I turned the rental car in on Thursday after work. It took a long time to return it. They were busy, but I really wanted to get in & out in a timely manner because I still had to go across town to pick my car up. My car isn't fixed yet, so I will need to most likely rent a car two more times until my car is fixed. Hopefully pick up & drop off go quicker the next two times. To start off with, Joy at the counter was super friendly and helpful! I had just had a rough disembarkation (because we had to wait for an open gate) but she was quick to help and get me on my way, with clear instructions that the next person would help me get my vehicle and with the understanding, friendliness, customer service we don't always see anymore. When I reached the parking lot, I was told I could choose any vehicle between the rows I was told. I couldn't believe it. The selection was incredible! I couldn't help but think I'd be charged more because I booked a smaller vehicle but ended up choosing a smaller SUV. Nope, same price. The Jeep Compass was clean, worked perfectly and was a great fit for my visit. Checking back in was also super friendly and efficient. After a quick greeting and check of the vehicle, Aiden made sure I was happy with my vehicle, if I had any questions, concerns, how it could've been better, etc. I've rented from others before where I was told to just throw the keys on the dash and that was the end of our interaction. National made the effort for a friendly, customer-driven experience every chance they had to ensure a high level of satisfaction. I didn't download the app or become a member because I wasn't sure it'd be worth it but if every National Rental Car is as friendly and accommodating as the PHX Airport site, I think I may have a new favorite car rental company! Most recently, I rented a car for a week and after taking the train to the rental car center, I was able to skip the desk and head straight to the Emerald Aisle to pick any available car. I would highly recommend setting up an account with National and taking advantage of this.... being able to skip a line at the counter is a blessing. In any event, we went to the aisle, picked out our car and were off after a brief stop at the gate to check everything. Return was also quick and painless. Josh did a thorough inspection of the car, which we returned with a full tank and in pristine shape, and we were on our way in no time. It's amazing how frictionless the experience can be, as opposed to how awful other companies (I'm looking at you Hertz) can make it. I highly recommend National.
