    I was in a multi car collision on the I-17 yesterday and my poor car is in the impound lot as we speak. There is always congestion on the I-17S where it splits off to the 101 and yesterday, traffic came to a complete halt at the split and I was completely stopped when I was unexpectedly rear ended and that vehicle also struck the vehicle in front of me and there was a fourth vehicle rammed into the one that hit me. It was all kind of scary really. And since I don't have a vehicle now, my insurance was able to quickly get me a rental and sent me over to this Enterpise which is open on Sundays. I came in here at 9:10am and was helped quickly despite a few other people in front of me. Chris was at the counter and checked me in immediately and everything went smoothly. Another gentleman, Andrew, then walked me around to several vehicles and I was able to choose a rental similar to my own. Andrew checked me out quickly, and who knew that Enterprise also has internships and he was an ASU student about to graduate. Everyone here was amazing and I was out of the lot by 9:40pm! I was impressed with their immaculate service and thanks to my insurance and Enterpise for getting me on my way as quickly as I can despite the accident yesterday.

    This location can get very busy, as I assume most car rental locations do. However, the customer service is fantastic. These team members work immensely hard and have fantastic abilities to relate and execute poise, kindness, and empathy. Special shout out to Michael M- the Asst Manager. He was very helpful and went above and beyond. Highly recommend this store.

    Probably one of the worst enterprise experience. Made the reservation for pick up at 8:00am. Didn't get the car until 11:30.

Best part was no upselling or tricks like a lot of the Hertz airport employees. He even told me how to bypass the annoying AI chat customer service if I needed to contact them on the Hertz phone number. This guy gets customer service and no issues whatsoever with this location. In and out in 10 min. You do have less selection and the cars are stored in a normal strip mall parking lot. I can't speak for coming here when it's the weekend or more packed. If you have your heart set on the car in your reservation, look elsewhere as the nature of these small locations is you basically just get what's available that day. Go to the airport location if you are very picky about your cars.

    At this point, this isn't a one-off issue -- it's a pattern…read more I reserved a full-size SUV (suburban class) months in advance, which is more than enough time to have the correct vehicle available. To try and avoid the usual issues, I even had an executive customer service representative (Laura S.) reach out to this locations manager two weeks prior to my rental to ensure everything was set. None of it mattered. I still arrived and was given a Ford Expedition instead. This has now happened multiple times with different hertz locations, so clearly reservations -- even with corporate involvement -- don't mean much at this location and others. The condition of the vehicle made it worse. It was dirty, worn, three different brand of tires and had over 60,000 miles on it -- not even close to what you expect when paying for that class of vehicle. Here's the part that really pushed it over the edge: I returned the vehicle to the airport location, and somehow I was charged a cleaning fee. That's right -- I was given a dirty vehicle and then charged as if I returned it that way. As an employee stated it's just big and dirt baked on by the Arizona sun. On top of that, trying to contact the location was a joke. Calls were being unanswered or immediately hung up. Between the wrong vehicle, poor condition, lack of accountability, and being hit with an unjustified cleaning fee, I'm done. I've already canceled multiple future reservations in 5 different cities and will be taking my business elsewhere. If you actually expect to receive the vehicle you reserved -- or even a clean one -- I would strongly suggest looking at other rental companies.

    Based on my Yelp photos, I've rented here a couple of times and I have to say, for an experience…read morethat can usually be very painful (renting a car, that is), the team at National Car Rental at PHX do a great job. Most recently, I rented a car for a week and after taking the train to the rental car center, I was able to skip the desk and head straight to the Emerald Aisle to pick any available car. I would highly recommend setting up an account with National and taking advantage of this.... being able to skip a line at the counter is a blessing. In any event, we went to the aisle, picked out our car and were off after a brief stop at the gate to check everything. Return was also quick and painless. Josh did a thorough inspection of the car, which we returned with a full tank and in pristine shape, and we were on our way in no time. It's amazing how frictionless the experience can be, as opposed to how awful other companies (I'm looking at you Hertz) can make it. I highly recommend National.

    I've rented cars from this location several times now and it's always quick and convenient…read more There's a shuttle to and from the airport that's relatively quick, and there is a gas station not too far from this place too. The staff are friendly and professional. I've had them offer to give me a bit of a discount when something inconvenient happens, and I'm glad they have that authority. This last time the car I rented had a lot of fingerprints on the windows and the carpeting in the trunk of the car was stained. There was also a splotch of something in the cupholder (I didn't try to remove it so I don't know how stuck on it was). That said, it didn't affect performance of the car and overall I still enjoyed driving it. The pricing seems okay. I think there are cheaper rental companies, but some of what I pay for is convenience. I'll keep using them when I visit Phoenix for work.
