We visit Enoteca every time we're in SV. The pizzas were pretty good, and the pastas looked lovely (others in my party gave them good reviews). I had the panko-covered trout which was delicious, but the accompanying salad lacked flavorful dressing. Decent wine list with a range of prices for wines. Service is attentive, but they could use a little more help as getting drinks and meals coordinated failed. Desert (gelatos) fell flat - somewhat melted and weak flavors. All in all, pretty good meals at a decent (post-Covid) value. read more

Snagged a seat at the bar right when they opened and had a lovely evening. Food was delicious and the staff was so attentive. Fabulous wine recommendations by someone who is super knowledgeable and is clearly passionate about good wine and food. Absolutely love this place! They have the best fresh baked bread and cheese. My fav is the wine auction pizza. Sometimes the chef will let you order to go if they aren't busy! Eating at the restaurant is fun but it can get noisy and hard to hear each other. Reservation are a must other wise you probably won't get in. read more

Enoteca remains among the top restaurants with regards cuisine in Sun Valley. But my fondness for the establishment gets a significant added nod on the beverage side. And all this can be attributed to their phenomenal sommelier, Burke. It is astounding to me that despite being a summer-only diner, Burke not only recognizes me every time I come in, remembers my name and, most impressive of all, remembers my taste profile. Burke knows exactly the type of wine I and, separately, my wife enjoy and so makes laser guided suggestions. I don't even bother looking at the wine list any more. I just ask for Burke. He will bring us samples of two, even three wines, all in the strike zone of my palate, from which I often have a difficult time choosing; all of them being generally wonderful. He also has a notion of my appropriate price points. I have so much confidence in his knowledge of my palate that when a year or so ago he told me he had something special for me that was not wine, but a beer, I went along with it. I love wine, but limit by beer consumption to accompanying hot dogs at baseball games. But to accompany a fine dinner? This pushed the envelope for me. But I trusted Burke who served this selected beer in a large wine glass. I instantly understood why. This beer had an incredible bouquet, and the flavor of the beer was as complex as any fine claret. Since then he has introduced me to several other incredible micro-brew IPA's that have me re-thinking the concept of beer and food. Warm, cozy atmosphere. Nice wine selection. Past reviews were right, the parmesan-crusted trout was outstanding. Cooked perfectly, it easily came off the skin. Each bite was crispy, moist, and so tasty. My husband had the lamb with au gratin potatoes that had a heavy char on top - he loved every bite. When we travel, we try and eat local food. Both the trout and lamb were from ID. Call out to David for excellent service. read more

This place was highly recommended, so we made a reservation - the only available was at 5 PM, and they require a credit card, or will charge you $50 per person (even if you cancel, if you cancel day of). This cut our ski day short, which was bad enough - the food was very disappointing. I had pork scallopini, and my boyfriend had lasagna. Both were lacking flavor, and definitely not worth cutting our ski day short. We won't be back. read more

We have always loved this restaurant, along with its 2 sister restaurants, the Ketchum Grill and Town Square Tavern. Town Square Tavern was always our "go to" for a last minute dinner out. Sadly, they closed last year and since their closing, Enoteca was our "go to." Very popular and always booked, we enjoy taking our chances for open seats at the bar. We arrived at Enoteca last Thursday at 5:20 to find 5 seats at the bar and were directed to the end two places. The server behind the bar must not have seen us, because it took him almost 15 minutes to come down and acknowledge us, and in the meantime I noticed 2 men enter and occupy 2 of the 3 open stools in the center and were immediately attended to, their bottle of wine arrived and opened before we were even acknowledged. (The restaurant was not yet busy at this point, but the bar had filled up). When the server finally came to acknowledge us, he was brief, and said he'd be back for our drink order... about 5 minutes later he came and rudely asked what we wanted to drink and I said a beer, and looked at the menu to double-check my decision, he spun on his heel and said "I'll come back." I was shocked. It had been a very busy snow week, and this guy was having a bad night. (I figured he was exhausted from shoveling all the new snow, or skiing/riding in the new snow!). The lovely Adelaide was not present, she always keeps things running smoothly, and this guy was not performing up to her standards. We felt bad about the way we're were treated, and got up and left. This experience has been weighing on my mind because we love this restaurant and hope to feel welcomed the next time we pop in for dinner. read more

Snagged two seats at the bar. Great food and service. I had the lasagna and it tasted fresh and delicious. My husband had the special duck pizza. Rich and great. Beer and extensive wine. In a beautiful, trendy atmosphere, reservations are a must. We ordered their recommended wood fired pizza-half & half of Strega-House made Pesto, Prosciutto, Wild Mushrooms, Asiago Cheese & their Zucca-topped with Bacon, Squash, Mozzarella, Arugula, Balsamic Drizzle. Perfectly crusty and pillowy dough..nicely crisped prosciutto..delicious combinations! The duck confit is a small portion of of duck with Risotto. The duck tasted more like dark meat chicken, lacking pizazz. The wine recommendation was superb! Try a glass of the Dunham 2013 Blend..although on the pricier side, just a skosh over $30 ($48 for bottle at the restaurant)is well worth splurging for a special occasion. Our neighboring patrons were thoroughly raving about their popular Panko crusted trout which I admit I wished I ordered. Overall, a lovely destination, especially for a special occasion with a feel of elegance. read more

Please read! The food is delightful however, the service is sub par. With that being said, a 13% tip was applied to a meal that was over $300. Reason being, chefs were not wearing masks when preparing the food (Ketchum and Sun Valley require masks u less 6 feet apart, not sure how that's maintained in a kitchen), they absolutely were not 6 feet apart and not all of my party members orders were placed. They were forgotten and the waitress had to be reminded, multiple times. 20 minutes later we were called and asked why we didn't tip larger....I have NEVER been so offended or disrespected by a restaurant in my life. Do not call me asking for more money. It was rude. It is unacceptable and should not be something restaurant managers should be doing on behalf of their staff. I will never return here and I will not recommend this restaurant. read more

The "fancy" place in Ketchum, nice set up, great food and exquisite service. Only a mile from the Sun Valley resort (ask them for a ride and then call for a ride back). We sat at the bar, the place seems to be booked and it's hard to get a table without a reservation. Had the bacon wrapped dates, burrata and an Affogato for desert, and they were all absolutely great! A must stop if you are in the area, try their great selection of Italian wines! read more

Lived up to expectations for food quality and menu creativity. The "You're boring me" attitude of the staff left a bad taste in our mouth. MENU / FOOD: Divided into small plates (most $10 or less), wood fired pizza (about $15 each), bigger small plates (about $16 each), sides and desserts (around $8) the menu was stellar for options from side to side and top to bottom that would please anyone from vegan to omnivore. Portions are small enough to comfortably order and share several things without needing to let the belt out a notch. We ate our way through multiple choices and everything was scrumptious. I would wager you can't go wrong with any choice but if you like lamb or duck, this is the place. The pizza / flatbread was great crust with just the slightest bit of char. And saving room for dessert is a wise strategy. (A tip: try the panna cotta or budino if on menu when you go.) LIBATIONS: Full bar but we focused on their good wine list by the glass. Prices were not as high as we anticipated they might be given the swanky tourist town venue that is Ketchum. VIBE: Inside an old building that has housed a variety of businesses, in the not too recent past the Ketchum Starbuck's before it moved down the street, the vibe is eclectic cool. Nice music mix on the sound system to tie it all in and set at just the right level to not compete with conversation. Although as the restaurant starts to fill with people the acoustics are such that it can get loud even when half full. Tables and chairs in sardine can tight layout line the side walls, a couple of banquette type tables in the middle the room. Look up for unique light fixtures. SERVICE: We arrived early, at opening in an off season week thinking we might sit at a table in the bar since we had no reservations if we couldn't get a table otherwise. (We are normally plan and reserve in advance folks, but on this day we knew our schedule was unpredictable.) We were informed the bar tables were reserved that night (although when we left nearly two hours after arrival they were still unoccupied as were over nearly one-half of the others). Do you have a table available, we had to ask, given it is only 5:00 and we are at current the only two guests here. Pause...two...three...four. "I guess I could seat you at this one here." As if favor done. And throughout the evening the server was bordering on patronizing. Maybe just our bad luck of the draw for service that night. Maybe not based on a similar experience had by friends a few days later when they too reported feeling as if somehow not enough 'hip' for the server. If they could fix the service attitude (maybe they could follow the staff at Knob Hill Inn for a couple of days to see how hospitality is done right) so the quality of that matches the food, this could be hard to beat. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: On street in downtown Ketchum, good luck with that. There must be a lot around but we were able to find a street spot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Although there are steps up to the front door (which enters through the bar), there is a level in access around the side. (Remember this is was once home to Starbuck's and they do follow ADA rules.) It is not marked, but it is there. This will bring you in the back of the restaurant past the kitchen. The loo is back in this same side entry area. It is also accessible, again thanks to Starbuck's requiring it to be so in their day. 3) RESERVATIONS: Wise to make them. read more

Really wanted to give this place a try. Put our name down and we're willing to wait, 2 seats at the bar opened up while we were waiting to be seated so we made our way to the seats to be turned away. The bar seating is for people with reservations. If i had made reservations for a table and was sat at the bar I would be very disappointed. We didn't even get a chance to try the food but the staff had attitude and it honestly wasn't worth waiting any longer. Ended up going next door and having an amazing meal. read more

That is, if you can get in. The restaurant is very crowded on weekends for good reason. For appetizers we shared oysters and the burrata, both were delicious. I had the duck confit and it was perfectly prepared and presented. The risotto was seasoned perfectly and paired great with the sun dried tomatoes which reminded me of a chutney. Great pizza and pasta in Ketchum. We came with a party of 6 and they accommodated us but also kept us distant from others. I started with the burrata which was so delicious. The wedge salad was also really good. Half of us had pasta, I had the wild boar ragu which I recommend. Fresh made pasta here which makes it even better. I sampled a few bites of the pizza too, all of which were good. Some inventive pizza combos (chorizo and peach). Delicious gelato for dessert. Highly recommended. read more
