It was somewhat strange that there were two separate parties happening at the same time. Parking was ok. They have their main parking lot and an overflow parking lot plus street parking. Their food offerings were your run of the mill buffet themed salad bar, protein in chafing dishes, a carving station, dessert section, but they did have a made-to-order omelette bar which is a nice addition. I would say overall good, not the best buffet option in town but at $31 / head t&t in is hard to top. Free parking is plentiful and available in two lots to the right and left of the building.

I overheard a family yelling at a kind server for charging her grown kid as an adult and flipped him off. I am not a fan of rude customers and frankly the server did not deserve that kind of treatment. All of the staff on duty was exceptional and if I could rate on service alone, it would be a 5 star. The food selection for the Easter brunch was a decent spread. Most dishes were tasty, but I feel there was room for improvement and I would have liked the buffet area to be more clean/hand sanitizers available in the common areas.

11:15 am on a tuesday and it wasn't too busy, making it an easy place to settle in and enjoy a meal…read morewithout competing with the noise around you. the dining room has a warm, lived in feel with dark blue walls, exposed wood beams, tufted red banquettes, vintage style posters, and an open kitchen where you can catch a glimpse of the cooks at work. it's comfortable rather than polished, with a mix of families, retirees, and locals stopping in for lunch. the ceiling fans lazily spin overhead while the tv quietly plays in the background, adding to the relaxed neighbourhood vibe. x-site grill & bistro isn't trying to be trendy, and that's part of its charm. if you're looking for good food, generous portions, and prices that don't make you do a double take, this place is worth a visit. we shared the grilled chicken pesto sandwich ($14.95), served open faced on french bread with homemade pesto and melted mozzarella. the chicken was tender, the pesto tasted fresh, and the toasted bread held up well without becoming too crunchy. it came with a fresh side of garden salad and a few potatoes topped with sour cream, which rounded out the meal nicely. even split between two people, it was enough to satisfy. the lunch specials are where the value really shines. starting at just $8.95, there are plenty of choices, including chicken souvlaki, although you'll need to order a beverage to get the special. even with that requirement, it's hard to find a better deal these days. there are also daily drink specials if you're stopping by later in the day. no flashy gimmicks, no over the top presentation, just honest comfort food, friendly service, and the kind of neighbourhood restaurant that reminds you why independent diners are still worth seeking out. sometimes simple done well is exactly what you're craving.

We showed up and we had to wait about 20 mins before getting a table. I was surprised that they have an Elk Burger on the menu. I decided to order that along with a clam chowder. Food was reasonable priced. It was very nice that they have working outdoor heaters. However the day we came, it was quite warm. So out door heater wasn't really necessary. Anyways the food was good. The elk meat was quite dry however, they were very generous on the sauce and onion to complement the dryness of the meat. The clam chowder was on the disappointing side. It was a bit salty. I really liked the burger. B ordered the breakfast sausage bowl. He said the breakfast sausage bowl was delicious but there were hardly any chorizo sausages in the bowl. Guess they were very cheap on the chorizo sausages. I recommend ordering the burgers here and definitely not the sausage bowl. Service was good. We enjoyed or stay eating here and we will definitely come back another time.

The wontons were also well seasoned and fragrant in the chilli sauce. The beef noodle soup, however, wasn't so good. The beef was tough and had a red band in the exterior and grey in the center. We think it may be due to improper thawing or freezing. The ambiance was very average. It's basically a lunch room where you ordered at the front and got your utensil and sat down at any available table. So needless to say there was very little service from the workers. Not necessarily bad, just a different style of restaurant. Overall the value is great, if you're looking for a cheap fill up with authentic flavours I would hit this place up. Each dish is very reasonably priced and pretty delicious (except for our beef).

B and I made a reservation because we knew this place is going to be busy on a weekend. Parking lot is very small so I recommend coming in for an early dinner instead. The restaurant is located a block or two away from Coquitlam mall. We walked in and was seated immediately but that was probably because we had a reservation. The greeting was super warm at this restaurant. Our server for the night provided a great experience. We ordered the the Moroccan Meatballs to share. I got the Seafood Risotto and B got the Chicken Clubs with Cajun Fries. For drinks I had an non alcoholic drink the Pink Fizz and B got the Negroni. The Moroccan Meatballs had a lot going on with the flavors. It came with bread to go with the meatballs. My Seafood Risotto looked small but it was quite filling. It had half a lobster with it, lots of shrimps and other seafood. The risotto was very flavorful. B chicken club sounds ordinary but again it was also very flavorful and unique. It is basically a chicken cob salad in a bun. The fries that came with it was delicious. I really like the garlic aioli dip that came with it. All food items that we ordered were only available at this test kitchen. The drinks were good. The meal with tips and taxes came to $120 for two people. Pretty standard pricing. Overall, good experience, good service and good atmosphere.
