No longer a brewery. Just a store that serves beer. Not their fault, but this needs to be updated. Otherwise, very nice staff and other patrons. Didn't have the chili which was the special of the day...? Also, sounds like they use the leftover Mac and cheese from the previous day on top of the chili special. read more

Hungry, and thirsty, driving Saratoga to Bend, we found 'enjoy local' via Yelp, as we drove thru Red Bluff, the menu looked interesting and was more amazed when there. It happen to be taco Tuesday, got three tacos for the price of 2, but more importantly one was a 'rueben taco', surprisingly, really good! The local IPA's were good too, but the best was Holly and the decor. From Portland I've tasted good brew and I like their West Coast and Hopper IPAs---both excellent, well balanced bitter and floral. Smooth and a great finish with the perfect bite in the throat. Coming on from the street the first time, I feel very welcomed. The bartenders are friendly and smiling. Good feel place to have a good brew and kick back. Oval shape bar is simple yet elegant, quaint and fun, and very functional. More bar and tables around the place for a meet up. It is a store with wine, nuts, fermented foods, olive oil, honey, grass fed raw cheese, Heritage hen eggs, and more more more specialty foods and assorted gifts---insanely cool and all locally made or produced. Fun, downtown spot with great beer. During our first visit, I brought my cider-loving mom in. While they didn't have a cider to offer, they were happy to pour her a few options for her to try--including their sour and seltzer. The ambiance of this place is quaint and relaxed. The front counter-bar portion is ideal for groups of 2-4. They offer seating out the back door for groups that wish to sit at a table together. We had been in the car for a few hours and we were getting hungry so we decided to search for breweries on our way up to camping. NOTE:: This place doesn't have a kitchen but they do have some serious snacking plates perfect for drinking beer and/or drinking wine with. Also it is worthy to note that this is inside of a cute little gift-type shop so no you're not in the wrong place lol The shop has some really cute stuff, a lot of things made with natural wood and it is gorgeous. The bar itself is also a piece of artwork. They have a bar in the center where they focus on the beer and in the back corner is a bar where they appear to focus on the wine. Both are products of Cedar Crest which is also a winery. The beer was LEGIT! I was surprised to find out that they had only been brewing beer for 8 months! The beer was very well done and perfectly balanced.... Rocky Pond Blonde- was a good light and refreshing beer without sacrificing flavor. It is a great beer for a hot day or for the blonde/lager enthusiast. Rocky Pond Red- was ok, not my favorite, I felt the flavor was a bit off but my husband enjoyed it so maybe it was just me. Manton Hopper- I really enjoyed this IPA, the hops were balanced well. The flavor and aromatic hops were abundant but the bitter hops were not over done making this a very smooth hoppy IPA. Dark Matter Stout- yummy! I am a porter and stout lover! This one definitely didn't disappoint. It had great flavor and was very refreshing. It had hints of chocolate, coffee and some nuttiness. We ended up purchasing a growler of it for our camping trip. The food plate was substantial, we purchased the "gathering" plate which included cheese, crackers, walnuts, olives and a soft cheese with mixture of a delicious bbq sauce and pepper sauce on top. read more

The Good: we got there when they first opened, so we asked for some coffee and they made us one blended ice coffee and a warm choice brew and it was good stuff. The GREAT: Excellent hostess and they didn't mind that I played the piano while we waited for our drinks to be made from scratch. Plus they DO give Military Discount's!!! This place was so cute. They make their own wine and brew their own beer. If you want to take beer home they have really cool cans they fill right there with frog artwork on it (e.g. frog Elvis, frog Marilyn Monroe, frog Einstein). We had a caesar salad and it was amazing. Homemade dressing and homemade croutons. Nice place to stop for a drink or grab a gift to go with some local snacks, handmade jewelry, honey, sauces or whatever else. Highly recommend it! read more

Absolutely phenomal local gem. Their beer, seltzer and wine selection are WONDERFUL and anyone can find something to enjoy. The venue is great and has plenty to do (arcade games, live music, fun events) and their food and snacks make me incredibly excited for their full kitchen. I love the people there (behind the bar and the regular customers) and will bring anyone to show them a good time, even working with my company to try and plan an event with them. Passing through Red Bluff on my way north and needing a break. Was pleasantly surprised by this place. I tasted the wheat and IPA. Both were quite good! The IPA had a strong hoppiness without being overly bitter. After reading other reviews it sounds like I should have tried the stout. Maybe next time since I pass through regularly. Also got one of their appetizer plates. Great selection of local cheese, olives and bread. A good accompaniment to the beer. The shop that the tap room is located in is a fun boutique of local crafts. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will certainly stop in again! read more

Fantastic find, don't miss it! Our friends turned us on to this great, low key beer and wine bar where they produce both! Excellent beer choices served by the very personable Wesley, a transplant from South Africa and a major part of our experience! Tasted all the beers, loved the 72 and Manton the best, enjoyed a round and the petite sirah...so good we had to buy a customized, hand-sealed six pack to-go. Fun visit, beautiful setting, surrounded by great gifts, edible and otherwise, totally a repeat visit for us and our Localized friends. Can't wait to return! read more

I have to admit that I didn't fully grok that this was an outlet for Cedar Crest wine and beer and that it didn't have food - my fault. I came back after dinner and tried 2 wines, Meritage (which was served much too warm) & Viognier. Neither was impressive and the aroma was totally compromised by the aroma-heavy products being sold. My road trip amigo and I interfaced with a lot of people working in businesses while on the road and the person working here was one of the few un-engaging people that we came across and she was more interested in talking with her friend than to us as customers. Who knows, the beer might be great, but I wouldn't come back. read more

Cedar crest brewing... Looks as if it's still Enjoy the Store with Cedar Crest Brewing inside... Regardless, my brother in law and I came here yesterday to get some coffee, as we walked in we noticed there has been several changes to the store recently, a lot of the gifts and items have been taken out, and a large bar has been placed in the center of the room, with the coffee bar still in the back. We walked around for a bit then went to the coffee bar and waited for someone to come approach us to take our order... We looked around for assistance and all we seen was a 20-something year old girl working alone at the bar, flirting with 2 guys... Her only customers. We waited for about 5 minutes for her to break away to help us until we went up to the bar as asked her if they still serve coffee. She said "yeah but we only have cold brew so if you want espresso you can go around the corner to the hearth", then she turned her back from us and continued her conversation with the boys. I said "um, actually I do want the cold brew, that's why I'm here..." She rolled her eyes and dragged her feet to make us our drinks, as if we were asking too much of her. I have always liked this little store, it has a great atmosphere and the changes are welcome, but maybe they should consider hiring more welcoming employees as well... I just know I won't be back here for a while. read more
