They were consistently forthcoming about which costs would be out of pocket and what's covered in the SOW. They kept us within our budget and worked with us whenever any issue arose. For example, our HoA was particularly troublesome at points in this process, but Vlad and Guy handled the situation with such care and, again I cannot emphasize this enough, transparency. Something that was invaluable to us and saved us incredible headache. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. What should have been a straightforward deck replacement turned into a 14 month ordeal just to complete the design and obtain a permit. Throughout the process, delays were repeatedly attributed to different members of the team, and we were assured that once the permitting phase was behind us, construction would proceed much more smoothly. It didn't. Communication became another significant issue. Calls and emails frequently went unanswered, making it nearly impossible to obtain updates or resolve concerns. To make matters worse, we eventually learned that the design for what should have been a simple replacement deck had become so unnecessarily complex that contractor bids ranged from $40,000 to $60,000, far beyond what anyone would reasonably expect for a project of this nature. The entire experience has been deeply frustrating. We invested significant time, money, and energy, only to make virtually no progress. What should have been a simple deck replacement became an exhausting, costly, and unnecessarily prolonged process. Our project involved replacing an existing deck. There was no plumbing, no electrical work, and no unusual structural complexity. Yet it became a 14 month ordeal that resulted in an overengineered design and construction bids inflated by unnecessary engineering requirements. We are now left trying to build essentially the same deck that existed before, after investing more than a year, substantial expense, and countless hours navigating a process that should never have been this difficult. Based on our experience, I would be very hesitant to entrust this firm with any construction project.
