Update: Joseph contacted me the same day I posted my review. He was genuinely concerned about my situation and eager to help find a solution. He also apologized for the technician's unprofessional behavior. I'm giving 3 stars for Joseph's responsiveness and care. Regarding the equipment issue: I appreciate their initial thorough inspection, which confirmed the firmware was fine (Just installed in 2022). After doing some research myself, I was able to solve the issue by simply re - connecting the inverter to my home Wi-Fi. The process took about 4mins. Suggestion for EnergyAid: Customers would really benefit if EnergyAid shared simple troubleshooting tips--like "reset the power" or "check Wi-Fi connection"--before jumping to conclusions about major system failures. It would save time, reduce stress, and build trust. Initial post: A few weeks ago, I was contacted and informed that my solar panel system was no longer communicating with SolarEdge. I was told that an on-site inspection--costing $299--was mandatory, and that declining the service would void my manufacturer's warranty. Unfortunately, the scheduling process was a mess. They either claimed they'd arrive earlier than the scheduled date and then didn't show up, or they came despite my request to reschedule. When the technician finally arrived, he found no issues with my equipment. The problem was on their end: the software needed to be updated. I still paid the $299 out of respect for his time. He assured me this was uncommon and that I shouldn't experience the issue again for years. Yet just 7 days later, the "Site Not Communicating" message reappeared. I called the office, but instead of addressing the issue, the rep focused on upselling me a membership plan--saying that without it, they couldn't help. They offered to send another technician, but only if I paid again. the I explained that I had just paid for the service a week ago. The rep said he'd check with his supervisor and follow up. No one did. The next day, I texted the technician directly out of desperation. His response was shockingly rude--he questioned why I was even texting him. I called the office again. This time, a different rep said she would escalate the issue. Hours later, I received an email with instructions to reset the inverter--but the video link they provided was broken. I had to try to find a working tutorial on YouTube to fix it myself. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

I Made the appointment , for a standard procedure cleaning and maintenance appt . , I thought it would be fine id pay the 399, and get it done ,then i got the follow up texts That said I should pay and then they wll get back to me in two days with a report after they come and see it ... I guess thats when they jack you up . I cancelled and got another company that came did the cleaning and 21 point check for 250.00 and got my system all maintained w/o any BS. Energy aid is shifty - hard pass- Nobody like a rip off .

the plug that apparently costs $4700 to repair!

So my solar installer went out of business. So I called energy aid. They were very quick to respond and had a technician come out promptly. Pascal came out was professional and quick. He identified the problem and noted the $299 I paid for him to come out would go toward the repair. A few days later they emailed me a breakdown of issues and potential repairs needed. All good up to this point, however this is where I became disgusted. Ishaq Shariff (sales rep) called me and told me for the total repairs it would cost $4700! Oh, and if I became a member it would only be $3900. Oh and by the way the repair was not a microinverter, not a panel...it was a plug that I found online for $20! Plug that needed repair shown below. I had some words telling Ishaq that they are taking advantage of people and that if they had just changed the plug there and then, I would keep them as a solar maintenance company moving forward. Then he has the audacity to email me again and knock the price down with a "managers discount" to $1,898.00! Again the plug price is $20. So you are telling me even with the new price it costs to pay a technician $1,878.00 ($4,680 with the old price) to drive to me from Santa Ana, CA. Then turn off the system, climb up the ladder, unscrew the panel, replace the plug, screw back down the panel and turn the system on again. That costs $1,878+$20 part?!?!?! Anyways I did it for $20 and 20 minutes and system works great now. So this company takes advantage of what seems at first overwhelming. But after reading and research is easy and straight forward. This company should be ashamed. I am sure they have taken advantage of so many people. This is why I will be reporting them the the BBB for price gouging and stealing from their customers. If you did honest work, your business would be successful. This company is disgraceful.

Unnecessary holes in my roof, and short rails under the lower panel.

I wanted to share my recent wonderful experience with my recent service visit with Infinity Solar…read more I purchased my system in 2024 (detailed review also done); during this time, my solar generation has been absolutely wonderful, and sized perfectly by Kay. My electric bill is essentially free over all of 2025 and this year. Some months have a $10 dollar bill, other months negative depending on how sunny each day is. I have had zero issues whatsoever and system works like clockwork. The installation over my tile roof, done through Terrazas roofing, partnered with Solar has also been top notch with zero issues with multiple major storms last year. I would say i was 110% satisfied with my decision to go solar and with Infinity solar. Fast forward to 2026. A series of recent power outages resulted in no power in my home. My initial thinking was that my system should have generated power with a fully charged battery during this outage. After calling Infinity, it was relayed that my system per contract was only set up for load shifting by design, lowering cost which I had decided on. After discussing 2 options to allow for backup power generation, i decided to proceed with the upgrade. Throughout the process, the entire team supported me exceptionally, starting with Sara who stepped in to help speak to me when the service department was not available at the time. As i did'nt understand my contract fully,, i reached out to Kay in sales, whom i did not speak to in 2 years, who really went above and beyond to explain to me in full detail how my system was set up, and options i had to upgrade. Kay treated me like family. I was so appreciative of her kind approach. She helped coordinate a technical call with Joel to fully answer all my technical questions. Once i decided i was comfortable with to proceed with the upgrade, the service team took over, with Vanessa and Brianna helping me schedule my service. Vanessa and Brianna work tremendously well together; super friendly, pleasant, professional and helpful. I requested looking into a couple options which Vanessa followed up on and accommodated without hesitation. A straight forward and exact quote was provided on Thursday. Their service and help was fantastic and greatly appreciated. Upon approving my quote on Thursday, my service was completed on the following Tuesday, much faster than I expected. Upgrade was performed by Ivan, electrician specialist. Ivan also initially setup my system in 2024. His expertise is perhaps, in my view, the finest in the industry. I felt very fortunate and appreciative knowing i hd my system in the best hands. He spent about 3 hours working on my system, explaining all the steps. Work performed was tremendous. Ivan patiently answering all my questions on some of the system parameters forgotten over the past 2 years. System was up and running and verified to work fully with a simulated power outage performed through the fuse box, and through the app. I was thrilled to now have backup power during outages. Billing and final payment was as quoted and super easy. In closing, the real mark of any business is how you are treated after the job is complete. My belief is that Infinity solar lives up to their reputation of being an exceptional 5 star company providing high expertise solar services through all phases of a project; sales, installation, commission, operational life, and post installation services. In a business of fraught with fly by night companies, Infinity Solar is a true gem. Solar done right with integrity, highest expertise, and exceptional, prompt service when called on. Thanks again to the entire Infinity team. 5 Star once again! Dave C

UPDATE: Sadly, changing my original 5-star review to 1 star…read more I'm really disappointed to have to update my original review. When we purchased our solar system from Infinity Solar in 2017, the installation process was great, and we genuinely felt they went above and beyond. We were extremely pleased with our experience and had no hesitation recommending them. Unfortunately, fast-forward several years, and our experience has been completely different. Recently, one of our inverters stopped working. Given that our contract includes a 25-year warranty covering workmanship, labor, and certain equipment, we naturally reached out to Infinity Solar expecting them to stand behind their warranty. Instead, we were told we would have to pay $550 just for someone to come out and assess the problem, followed by additional hourly labor charges for however long the repair would take. When we questioned why we were being charged these fees despite our warranty, the owner, Tim, explained that we lived too far away, that the business wasn't doing well financially, and that it essentially wasn't worth it for him to send someone out. He even mentioned that they were considering closing the business altogether. Needless to say, we were shocked and extremely disappointed by this response. We trusted this company with a significant investment, in part because of the extensive warranties they offered. To now be told that servicing our system isn't worthwhile to them because of their financial situation and our location is incredibly frustrating. Ultimately, we hired another company that came out and repaired our inverter for just $300--less than what Infinity wanted to charge simply to diagnose the problem. It's unfortunate because our initial experience was genuinely positive. However, a company's true commitment to its customers isn't just demonstrated during the sale and installation, but in how it stands behind its products and warranties years later. A 25-year warranty means very little if the company is unwilling to honor it when you actually need service. I sincerely hope Infinity Solar reconsiders how it treats its existing customers. Based on our recent experience, I can no longer recommend them, particularly to anyone placing value on their long-term warranty promises.

She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. In mid-August our system stopped producing power. We didn't find out until our utility bill came in roughly $600 higher than normal. Since then, we've sent multiple emails and submitted a service request with no response. I finally reached someone by phone and, after escalating to a manager, they committed to sending a technician today at 4pm. No one showed up and no one called. When we call back, we sit on hold, get an auto response we're being transferred to customer support, and then the line goes silent before we are ultimately sent to a voicemail service. A 25-year installation warranty means nothing if the company won't answer the phone or show up. Every day our system is down costs us money. If you're considering OC Solar, ask hard questions about how they handle service after the sale. I'll update this review if they make it right.

However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.
