I definitely recommend this pool for families of smaller children! The shallow end slowly gets…read moredeeper so it is easy for children to enjoy the water only up to their ankles or all the way to their chins. There are two slides and water sprays out from various places on the structure. Then there is a deep end if skilled swimmers or adults want to distance themselves from the children. I am unsure what this summer will bring but pre Covid, day care centers would have the pool filled with children mid week from the time it is open until close to the end of their school day (3-4ish), so if crowds are a concern it may be best to call and see if there is a large group attending as I assume they're required to make it known they are attending. My children are 4 and 2 and we have been going since my 4 year old was a toddler. They both love it!

I was taking photos around the UMSL area for a new real estate listing, and discovered this…read morewonderful park. It's one of the St. Louis County parks...intermediate in size. Not as big as Tower Grove or Queeny Park, but much larger than Tilles, Stacy and Faust Parks. So I was really impressed. The park is absolutely spotless, and it looks like it just had a major overhaul. The sidewalks, streets...even the trash cans and benches looked new. The playground has two side-by-side sections for preschool and elementary aged kids, and there are benches surrounding the playground (including one that is covered to keep you out of the sun). There is also a community center. I didn't go inside but there was a line of day camp kids heading back from the playground (?) toward the front door. I also saw a public swimming pool...really nice, tennis courts, ball fields, and a greenway trail. I was there around noon on a June weekday, and there were just a handful of people in the park. I'm sure there are times when it gets more busy, but if I lived in this area, I could see heading there for a lunch break and spending a lot of weekend time here.
